Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

The update completed successfully and eventually I saw the new Main Menu ... BUT got a big red warning message that the online connection was lost. Used OOKLA to verify I had a 440 Mps connection. Google and other online programs work fine Quit to Desktop and restarted MSFS - When the program got to Installation Manager it hung for 5-minutes in Checking for Updates and then CTD Restarted MSFS and the hang in Checking for Updated reoccurred with another CTD Restarted MSFS and now it is hung in "Take the Pilot's Seat" Task Manager shows MSFs is using 33% of the CPU and 95% of the GPU Ten Minutes later I am now at the Main Menu and am able to FLY…

asobo-aircraft-tbm930-0.1.85.fspathch.... I am at [290/340] - 24.84 GiB / 40.29GiB and it downloads and decompresses the above named file which takes the counter up to 24.95GiB Then with NO error message it goes back to 24.84GiB and starts loading the same file again. This has been repeating endlessly for more than an hour I am on a rock solid 500 Mb/Sec comcast connection. The first 24.85 GiB took less than an hour to download and decompress but am now stuck ???

Ok ,so I tried the new mouse interface. I’m obviously missing something. I move the mouse over a control, like heading, it turns green, but how do I then turn it? I tried the scroll wheel. Right mouse click, dragging. Nutin. im sure there’s a simple answer, so what is it? I turned it back to legacy, but I would like to know how the new way is supposed to work. sorry for the double post.

Can I ask anyone that’s updated to SU5 to drop there comparisons below on what sort of performance their getting and hardware.. Cheers guys!

So I'm using the latest G3000 mod, just spawned in and the shell of the cockpit is non existent? I am using the tbm improvement mod as well....guess its broken

Flying the longitude, Altimeter off by 4000 feet. Using VATSIM

My glasscockpit to sim is visible and functioning on my tablet. This happens on Cessna 172 and TBM. This and frequent freezes after commands. What am I missing? Dave

I'm just downloading content updates which includes updates for all WUs except WU III (UK). Is WU III already fully compatible with the current sim update?

After loading the sim, I click on the FLY! button and it does not load. I waited half an hour and nothing. Finally, I just used Task Manager to close the program.

Hi Guys, I can't seem to coexist with MSFS2020 Updates without frustration. Perhaps some can help. I'm aware that updates are mandatory and necessary. The problem is that sometimes this can interfere with game play when I want to sit down and fly as the patches are huge and time consuming. So... I read around that updates are once per month and many let their sim update overnight when the patch is released without any hassle. My question is... Where can one see the announcements pertaining to updates and expected release dates. This would allow me to control updates rather than updates controlling me. Any information would be appreciated. …

First flight with the new SU 5. Something has affected aircraft performance (at least on my Carenado Mooney). At the start of my descent (VFR flight), I cut down throttle all the way to 1/4 and the aircraft settled on a vertical speed of -150 fpm after I trimmed the nose up a little bit. IAS was down to 120 knots. This doesn't sound right. Before the update, if I cut throttle to 1/4 I would have to trim the aircraft nose up quite a bit to maintain such a slow descent, and I would soon get into the white arc (flap range).

Not sure what's going but when I got home just now and launched the sim I'm not getting prompted for the update. It goes right into the sim as if nothing was released today. Not sure if the overload reported caused MS to shut down SU5 until the load is more manageable..

Anyone using track IR with msfs (poor mans VR) I’m considering getting it but looking for opinions, Ive looked at videos, and while it looks cool, I find it kinda seems like it would be an awkward device to use, head turned one way while straining your eyes to keep them on the screen. it also seems like it would throw me off on my natural head movements (almost like I would have to put a lot of effort in trying to keep my head still) trying to get a feel for this track ir before spending $200+…any opinions would be appreciated! Is it the super, dupper, wonder Updateday for our MS Flightsim 2020 or would it be possible we have a lot things broken after this eagerly awaiting Update that comes in tomorrow ? Seems a lot things are changing dramatic so i wonder what will be happen. Do all the airport scenerys still work - this Update gives me some headache if i think about that..😯 cheers 😉

Hello Gang! I have gone into the MS Store updates section several times, rebooted my PC several times, and have launched MSFS several times and the update is nowhere to be seen as available to download. Any ideas? I am in Central Time USA.
