Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

...MSFS folder after you updated everything that was to be updated? I seem never to experience that "significant shrinkage" that was mentioned in one of the previous updates and in this one; it constantly gets bigger even though i take care to point the update to the correct folder! How about you, how many GB is your MSFS big now?

Getting random CTD's...Anyone else ?? Before the update, nil CTDs 🤔

Crashes sim to desktop stable version here - may not be ready for this new update

So since the update all my buttons are all messed up and need to be reassigned, eg Battery, lights etc....on my honeycomb Yoke but when I go into the controller options menus and asign one then validate as you do the screen freezes then boom...CTD.......any ideas please?? Today is the day of a major update. I have the Steam edition and I have 40 GB to download. Not that much with a fast fiber connection, but even with a good bandwidth, it is extremely slow (approx 10 GB per hour, with many "please wait..." messages during the download. The strangest aspect is the difference between my son and I. My son bought the Microsoft Store edition yesterday, and today he has 124 GB to download. I can't explain this difference between 40 GB for me and 124 GB for him, is it because I bought on Steam and he bought on Microsoft Store? It would be very amazing... trying to stay positive, but really difficult at this moment....... Did the update yesterday evening, in the beginning I was not even possible to open Msfs without CTD. Now I can get in again but it shows I am offline. Server ( west Europa ) is showing 14 m/s. I tried signing out and back in. This does not help.Don't want to do ( yet ) a full reinstall. But I wonde, how is it possible to have beta tests and stil have all these issues. Was the roll out for Xbox so important? I pre-ordered FS2020 from the Microsoft Store. Some of the SIM has installed to a drive on my machine. This is my first digital download from Microsoft. I was maybe a bit rash and the drive I installed to is a little on the small size capacity wise. How do I move the install directory to another drive without breaking the digital download? I noticed that one of the directories is not readable, So when I tried to copy it sideways, it failed. This is a new drive that I will eventually have FS on. So I will re-name the drive letter to be the same as the original one so that any registry links are not broken. Or is that a better way to do this? Thanks …

Before this update I could have sworn I was able to uncheck the Asobo Atlanta in the content manager so I could use the Imaginesim Atlanta and not get duplicate scenery. As it stands now the Asobo Atlanta appears to be all in the World Update II: USA. Is there any way to solve the duplicate scenery?

When I tried to install the msfs on my Xbox S, I got a notification saying it's incompatible. I tough Microsoft said it was compatible for Xbox S and X...

Now you can enable nvidia freestyle by alt+f3, use sharpening+ to make your graphics more clear. I am pretty postive about the update and it is finally possible to control aircraft with xbox controller only without using mouse.

When you are in the middle of a flight and decide to change something in Options...e.g. turn Multiplayer off, I hit the Esc key, make the change then click Apply and Save, but how do you return to your flight? I used to use the Esc key again but that no longer works. I'm baffled...any clues? Thanks.

When panning around in the VC I see sometimes this white dot or cicle. How to get rid of that?

Is there an option to change the brightness of the displays like in WT G1000? The Menu doesn't appear to show this option. They're a little dark. Also is there a way to change the MFD map from heading up to heading north up? Another small thing...shouldn't there be a GS next to the TAS in the PFD? The WT G3000 has both TAS and GS. Otherwise it seems to work great. I'm looking forward to all the updates/

I have not tried the update yet, but sounds like Asobo need to add a menu option for 'Field of Render'. For instance your Field of View through the monitor may be 75 degrees. You could then set the Field of Render to say 100 degrees. That's going to give you 25 extra degrees to the left and right that won't popin scenery when you turn quickly. If 100 is not enough you bump it up more. Greazer.

I haven't messed with any of my settings, but even in non-dense urban areas, the fps is 30fps and under. I have rechecked my settings and I have v-sync enabled and capped at 60fps. Before my settings would be 45-60fps.

I was looking for a list but couldn't find one for scenery. LatinVFR - Updated FSDreamTeam - Louisville and Key West (loaded from the market place) Flightbeam - KDEN (only one mentioned as ready in the FB forums) Still looking for Imaginesim, DD and Orbx scenery verifications.

After the update, I went to Content Manager to download the additional content, and there was some number of content downloads to update. Not sure how many, but was 20 or 30 something (all free content). Content Manager ran for a few minutes before freezing and giving me an error that there was no Internet connection (my 1.2Gbps connection was up and running without issue). I shutdown my system and came back a few hours later and was able to get to Content Manager, but all that was available for update was the Premium, Deluxe, and previous five world updates. I have no idea if the other content actually downloaded and finished, or not. Is there a way to con…

When I start MSFS2020 a box appears displaying xbox Lets ge you started sign-in. I dont know why if my msfs 2020 in on my Desktop PC computer. Do I have to sign-in to Xbox?? Can someone help me please??
