I plan a MSFS2020 Premium Deluxe purchase (since the system is complete with the RTX3080 arrival) from the Microsoft XBox store for $95.99 plus XBox Game Pass obtainment. Do you have to continue the Game Pass to own/use MSFS2020 or can you cancel. The other way to purchase (at a reasonable price) is thru Newegg at $105.99. Thanks, Darryl

...which, I am certain, will be a significant push towards more accurate glass in MSFS 2020. Planning to use it with the DA62. While waiting you can read the close to 500 page manual available on the Garmin website (not sure whether I'm allowed to link to the pdf directly, but easily found via a Google search.)

I much prefer watching people "stick the landing" in MSFS than in some gymnastics events.

So here we are rapidly approaching the first birthday of MSFS. After finally getting my saved flight to load yesterday evening following the server issues, I discovered that the age old classic bug is still there. The autopilot was off, with all the flightplan data gone from the FMC along with all the altitude etc. data entered on the upper panel. Come on, you can do better - this bug should have been tracked down and fixed right at the beginning. It makes doing a flight over several sessions or a long haul journey impossible if not pointless. Sorry for rant, but there is so much potential in the game, just for it to be let down by an easily replicated bug …

This is the stand alone 750 that appears in the FS upper menu. Is it still available? Their web site seams to be down.

I have always wonder if I use a plane that I purchased, such as the Piper Arrow from JF and flew it online with people. Will they be able to see my plane as the correct model, livery, etc?

With the XBox release of MSFS almost upon us, I would like to renew my appeal -- and the appeal of many others -- for Microsoft/Asobo to begin selling merchandise with the Microsoft Flight Simulator name and logo. Perhaps these products could be sold through the in-sim Marketplace. Perhaps they could instead be sold from a Microsoft/Asobo external website. But I personally think a lot of flight simmers would eagerly buy such MSFS products. I know I definitely would. Even if Microsoft/Asobo didn't want to devote a moment of their time to such a merchandizing endeavor, they could entirely farm the effort out to the typical companies who produce logo-bearing shirts, caps, mu…

Hi, I have been following AVSIM MSFS Forum as a reference for most of the time and I'am quite appreciated about what AVSIM provides us for long years. On the other hand I feel MSFS forum looks a bit messy. Lots of various topics in the same list and it takes time to choose which ones are on your radar or not. Wouldn't it be nice to have some major categories such as "Aircraft - Scenery - Utility and General Discussion" ? It's just a personal idea but I wan't to hear if anybody else thinks the same ? I thought we can have more structurally orginised discussion and information platform. Kind rgards.

Is there a place to request higher definition ground textures/details for a specific city from Asobo/Microsoft themselves? The reason I ask is because Duluth, MN, U.S.A. (population= 85,900) is one of my favorite destinations (both KDYT and KDLH). It's a beautiful location, nestled on bluffs and right on Lake Superior with a great harbor, etc. But the quality is very poor in MSFS. On the flipside, I live in southern Wisconsin, U.S.A. and Janesville, WI (64,200 people just north of KJVL) is done in great quality. I would LOVE to see Duluth done with the quality of Janesville and others!

Here is Valence airport created by Claude Roure. In the 1980s, Valence-Chabeuil aerodrome was the thirtieth French airport in terms of passenger traffic. The scenery shows the south-west civil part, with the flying club, the "pelicandrome," 3 companies (business aviation, flight and transport by helicopter, training of private or professional pilots) and the ALAT military helicopter experimentation base (GAMSTAT, pictured on stage). In the north-east: ULM and gliding. A 2260 m asphalt runway with PAPI and 2 grass runways. https://www.simvol.org/en/downloads/airports/valence

I'm kinda undecided on whether or not I should get the Carenado 182 or just stick with the default c172 G1000. Which one is better overall in terms of features, graphics, and realism between these two?

Hey guys just wondering if the CRJ has most of the issues worked out or not by now? I don't need a study level a/c per say but I would like something that pretty closely resembles the real thing, flies well, and is easy on the frames. And most importantly, actually works. It looks pretty good and isn't too expensive, but just wanted to ask if this is recommended by the majority of RL'ers or not? Thanks guys.

I wonder if this is the cause of grief for folk on here occasionally experiencing slow downs? Sorry if it has been mentioned before but I have only just seen it. "Windows nasty bug which messes with gamers is still hanging around, according to reports, even though the latest cumulative update for July (released just over a week ago) was supposed to cure it. This particular bug causes stuttering frame rates and generally ‘lower than expected performance in games’. As reported in techradar.com

This post is a head-scratcher that should leave you all with a laugh. I had just fired up MSFS, with the 747-8i on Runway 28R at KSFO. I was configuring the autopilot and getting ready to take off, when I saw a motoryacht cross the runway, left to right, just ahead of me. It then stopped on a taxiway. I went into Slew mode and moved my plane near to the boat to grab a screen shot. I've never seen an autogen boat cross an airport runway before, either on FSX or MSFS. Here's the screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T7oC1ALZQLSHUGk0th-Kp-HhOuW_nuQx/view?usp=sharing

Has anyone purchased this product and could let me know how they like it? https://orbxdirect.com/product/seafront-anguilla I would like to know how much if any fps hit it is. This product also mentions having "living" coastlines. I wonder if it has any conflicts with the TNCM addon scenery from the msfs marketplace.

Hi all So I went ahead and purchased Orbx London City as I felt the default MS city was too dark & grey - and it was on sale. Overall I am pleased with it and the contrast in colours is good - but I have a strange issue. When I have the scenery on - and with photogrammetry on, I get an area just north of docklands and canary wharf that is totally flat. The photos show images of warehouses and small houses but its totally flat, bar some tidy looking gas storage frames If I turn the Orbx scenery off, the same area now has 3d buildings are warehouses. Please can someone confirm that they are getting the same result? Just so I am sure it is indeed…

Just spotted this on MSFS Addons: https://msfsaddons.com/2021/06/29/just-flight-announces-fokker-f28-fellowship-for-flight-simulator/ I guess we should keep our hopes high for this one, Just Flight isn't playing around with the quality of their stuff in fs2020. However the textures look rather bland, as if this is a straight conversion from FSX... for sure just the early steps of development.

As a lot of us are waiting for the big update next Tuesday, and with all of the excitement (and trepidation) that brings , I thought I might try to distract myself (and maybe some others) by things that aren't necessarily on the Asobo improvement list, but might be shuffled on at the bottom of the list as all the features are added and bugs gradually squashed. So, light hearted discussion... One of the things I noticed from the start are the propellers. The propeller blade animations seem to freeze of move erratically at some power settings. I have seen it raised in the JF Arrow forum, and JF apparently said they followed the Asobo SDK on such things. (Actually, …
