Will this update really require that all addons be removed from the community folder? What else do I need to do to cause the least amount of headaches?

How do you use MSFS? Did you buy it to fly low and slow over the realistic scenery, or to fly longer IFR flights? VFR or IFR?

The Premium de Luxe airports have bumpy runways ( not flattened ) and no taxiway and no gate markings/labels. I would like to see improved versions of the PdeL : Amsterdam , Heathrow, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt.., There are some nice freeware versions like Gatwick… Even if I have to pay for them I also like to see : Rome Fumicino (LIRF), Athens (LGAV), Istanbul (LTFM - freeware version is great to see but has CTD issues for many ), Marseille (LFML), Corfu (LGKR) … Waiting for Jo Erlunds Brussels too. Add / Remove animated CoPilot using Payload option. If the co-pilot weighs less than 170 pounds (77 kilograms) it is not displayed. If the weight is over 170 pounds, an animated co-pilot appears. Link to the simple visibility code.

I have a wireless xbox controller and for some odd reason when I go to change the settings for the right and left triggers, they won't save but always stay at default. The triggers are by default mapped to the rudders, however when I try pressing them, I can see the bar move either 0% or 100%. This is strange. The triggers shouldn't respond like on or off. But should progressively increase depending on how hard I press the triggers. Any ideas what could be happening?

Those who have already purchased the YBBN airport recently released by ORBX have not exactly been flattering in their evaluations of this package. For those of us who owned earlier releases and got a 50% discount, it was reasonable for the price (new runway, taxiways, additional apron space, etc.), without being exciting (compared with Impulse's YPAD for example), fully functional (jetways, etc.), or up to date (Qantas signage which is years out of date). I'm having a great time with my MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe with a couple of payware airports installed. But I do find myself in a bit of a dilemma. I'm not sure if I'm ready to uninstall my FSX with all of my GB's of payware and freeware taking up space on my game drive. I haven't fired up FSX since the beginning of the pandemic but I do find myself flying my TBM 930 nearly every day in MSFS 2020. Even with that in mind I just can't seem to part with FSX yet. It almost feels like parting ways with a old friend. I'd like everyone's opinions on this topic - Has FSX seen it's days? Using the FPS tools from the devkit I get a remark saying "limited by mainthread". What does that mean?

For some reason if I fly south from KRNT Renton past KSEA a few miles and turn back north I get nothing but very long pauses and stutters that make what has always been one of my favorite places to fly unusable. I have photogrammetry on, Drzweicki Seattle installed as well as the nice freeware Renton airport but even with all of those uninstalled and photogrammetry off etc I have the issue. I don’t see these issues elsewhere - could someone please recreate this flight of KRNT south five miles and return and advise how your performance is? My specs are a 10900K RX 6800 and 32GB RAM. No trolling or anything. Just wanted to know if i am doing something wrong or it was last minute change in this effect. Going to minute 0:57 in the intro video we see each time we run the sim, we can see a very nice starching rain on the windshield. No matter what settings of windshield effects i use i simply cant get anything like it. All i get is some drops the disappear after a second. Anyone seeing something similar to the video ? Again, go to 0:57.

Versions of FS in the past had handy autosave which I always used when flying. I saved every 3 minutes or so. It could be configured to store all saved flights or just the last so many of them, such as save the last 20. It did cause a stutter for 2 seconds or so when saving.

Can you run MSFS2020 at faster than normal speed (time acceleration) as you could with P3D? I can't seem to find a setting for sim speed, and maybe that is not implemented because it would require faster downloading of scenery, etc. Al

My computer is an i5 3.2ghz Nvidia 1060 6gb card and is 10 years old, it runs fs2020 but only on medium settings and lots of stutters so its time to get rid, ive had enough of the stuttering... sooooooo what shall I do....better off getting an X Box x (if I can find any in stock anywere) is it for 500quid or do I spend 1500 quid on a new pc?? I may have asked this before, but I am getting annoying flashing in the cockpit view of the stock and moded DA-62. Maybe every 30 seconds or so. I tried deleting the airplane and reloading it and I tried other liveries and I deleted all mods from my community folder. I updated the Nvidia driver and none of those solutions worked. I have a newish rig with a 3080 Nvidia card. I can't figure it out why only this plane has this problem. Has anyone come across this problem or know a fix? Thanks

Would anyone have idea why I cannot get any of the working title mods to work. The installation is easy and everything looks correct in the community folder but it will not show up in game. I download and copy into community fold just as the instructions say to do. What am I missing? What could be interfering with the install? My cockpit still looks default in the G3000, G1000, and the CJ4. This has me completely stump. If anyine has ideas as to why this would be happening would love some input. Thanks

Sorry to have to do this again but it's very hard to come to reliable conclusions on this. I have a new 3080Ti unopened, won't open it til the pending performance update. But now, if you're running Ultra settings on either of these or other 12Gb cards please let me know what you're finding in the worst areas of the sim. I'm also running vsync at 30Hz so limited to 30fps which helps GPU load immensely but has no impact on reported VRAM use. Please also report your Render Scaling setting and also T-LOD and O-LOD settings which have big impacts on VRAM. Please also only respond if you are using a 3440x1440 display. Dear fellow simmers! I love flying. Soaring through the skies, piloting my FBW A320NX through virtual clouds, from Airport to Airport, ideally controlled by VATSIM. But in the recent weeks, my excitement took a hit by undesired behavior of the sim. For reasons I do not know, the ground textures look afwul. Ths certainly was not the case before. It seems like MSFS does no longer use photogrammetry/satellite images to display cities, fields, rivers and forests, but rather dissapoints me by displaying offline/default landscapes. I got MSFS in August It took me 10 weeks to get it to start!This included 5 weeks at my computer suppliers,who also failed to start it.When the infamous'Press any key' screen was removed,I was able to start it.I have now developed the locked up on 'Checking for updates' screen,and once again I can not start the sim.There are many others on the forums with the same fault.Surely the authors must be able to cure this.There is no point in improving graphics and FPS etc if the thing will not start.
