Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

On my machine G3000 and the TBM seems broken. No map display and missing info in the other displays. And I cant operate the throttle lever with mouse or thrustmaster tcm throttle lever.

And it crashes during the very early phases of loading, before even getting to the XBOX splash screen. Finally uninstalled a previously flawless install since initial deployment, resintalled, same crash. Signed in and out of MS Store, XBOX app, XBOX Console Companion, all to no avail. I will try contacting support tomorrow and see what happens.

Managed to download everything but now when I try to load the sim I get the message "WE ARE UNABLE TO SYNC YOUR DATA TO THE CLOUD AT THE MOMENT"... My internet connection is working ok so not sure what the issue is here

Curious if there is a concensus among those who are doing well post update what the impact has been for you on max VRAM at the same settings you were accustomed to. Thanks

I thought I would ask this here as the MSFS Forums are a heaving tempest of dummy spitting & plastic buckets flying out of sand pits at the moment. General Options Data Consumption Current Data Consumption (CDC) Is there any way to set back to zero? I thought it measured for a month but mine seems to run longer than that & keeps climbing. I'd like to start again😀 T45

Anyone else noticing crazy high temps at High Altitude levels? I am near Arkansas and Kansas City at FL340 and the CRJ is reading +40c and definitely degrading performance for cruise. Happy Landings,

Hello all! After the SU5 update I am still getting some stutters. Yes, when i sit still in the VC I am getting a huge boost from SU4, however, as soon as I start to pan around the cockpit I get stutters. I'll even lose half of my FPS sometimes. This happens with the lasted Dev version of the FBW as well as default aircrafts. Anyone else noticing this? Thanks!

Hi all, Maybe not relevant for all but if you experience CTDs after loading a flight please check if you have installed the A320 FBW in the content manager. If so uninstall via the same content manager and reinstall the A320 FBW via the external FBW installer and select the development option only. https://flybywiresim.com/

Soo, I still haven't been able to test the new update as the sim just won't load any flight. Its gets to the end of the loading blue bar and sits there for eternity. Reset Rolling cache, tried different airports and planes, disabled AI as some suggested. Nothing. The longest I left it on to try was about 30min. Any ideas??

Hi, Ive gotten into an issue I cant solve. I play on Xbox. On long flights with the A320neo I have issues with the autopilot after skipping a stage of the flight. For example my autopilot works perfectly after takeoff. It works like it should all the way up to cruising altitude. But when I reach cruising altitude I like to skip that part of the flight. But the problem with the autopilot occurs after I have skipped a stage of the flight. The autopilot is just now working anymore. It keeps either sending me in circles, or it will direct me in a totally different heading than what the flightplan says. And I cant find out what’s making the autopilot to behave l…

OK, So I updated my fairly stable FS2020 installation. And have now about 20 CTD's in 12 hour. Howdy, for me pre SU5 when using my hat switch to cycle thru the instrument views I always found their movements smooth and easy on the eye with a “zoom to view” that gently brought you to the view you desired. Now after SU5 when cycling the instrument views from view to view they remain smooth and easy on the eye, excluding the first view. That first view which is usually the HSI screen, instead of smoothly sliding/zooming into place it abruptly “jumps” with an accompanying “bounce” of the screen before it settles into view. Only the first cycle. All the others remain fine. Anyone else seeing this, and if so did you come up with a workaround or fix? TIA …

Been flying around for i while, in Sweden, the scenery/buildings comes and goes, sometimes its there, sometimes its not, buildings just vanish, just to name a few things that is on the bad side as it is for now... I have played with settings etc etc, and still, cant get up to the level this sim was before SU5, the version before this update WAS better in so many more ways than it is now. (at least for me... and I suppose for many otherts too!) So, ASOBO, for us and those who wish, give us the possibility to revert back to the version before this! Buspelle

My old jalopy gains 2 fps at Miami with the DC-6 and LW (around 25 instead of 23). A 60 GB download for that ? And the cockpit panning is not smooth anymore.

Anyone else notice the external freelook pan speed sliders don't have an effect? I have my hat switch assigned to the "look" views, and tried changing the external camera settings in the main menu / the sim toolbar (sliding vs clicking, saving profiles etc.) but it seems stuck at one slow speed. Used to work in the previous build.

I've only tested the C172 G1000, still don't know if it happens on other aircrafts too. Basically one click of trim up or down on my Joystick causes the airplane to rocket climb or dive: it's uttely annoying. Never happened something like that before.

Specs are 10700k oc to 5.2 and 2070 Super. I’m trying out these discovery flights for the first time and have noticed that my cpu usage stays very low and my GPU is running at 100% and never drops below. Sounds extreme but my temp is staying manageable and it’s the smoothest flight experience I’ve had with the sim to date. With the latest update all buttons now have a description and a blue square around every button - how can I get rid of these new features? I cannot press the buttons in the FBW A320... Thanks

1. During the MSFS loading process I get a narrow vertical 'stripe' on the left and right side of my screen that is blurred and out of focus. Is this just a new visual effect for some reason, or does it indicate I might need to adjust a display setting? I don't see this once flying, at least not so far. 2. At the bottom of the World Map screen when setting up a flight I see a couple of click spots labeled INPUT.KEY_MENU_WM_ZOOM_INCR and INPUT.KEY_MENU_WM_ZOOM_DECR. Are these for XBOX, and if so is there some way to prevent them from showing up? I always have to click on MORE to get to the LOAD option.
