Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Now that I have the rudders back does any one know how to get the trim wheel to not move up and down with no incremental motions? Using the Honeycomb Alpha. Even the mouse cant get smooth trim wheel movement. Never happened before the up date any ideas?

Never saw Juneau AK look so good. Took a quick hop to the nearby glacier to the North in the Icon. WOW! Also the water effects are sweet. Totally impressed with this update. Great job to the MSFS teams. Cheers bs

... is exactly the same as before which makes me happy as performance has always been stellar. 4K @ 80%, mostly ultra settings, 70% VRAM, 25% Main Memory (32 GIG), ~60 FPS, no stutters, AMD 5900X ~20% (or less), LOD 200. I suppose that the published enhancements may come into play if I visit say NYC. Also, I have not noticed ANY IQ degradation at all in this update. Do I have complaints concerning this update? Sure but what's the point in another rant. MSFS is what it is and on the plus side I'm positive that it will continue to improve. Cheers bs

My tool bar no longer auto-hides, and the widgets do not respond to mouseclicks.. not sure how to adjust weather now.. Has anyone run into this??

Did everybody see this little snip from PMDG’s latest update? We anticipate we will probably have another cleanup update here shortly to deal with any other platform-change related loose ends that may appear. Then, I hope to begin showing you the PMDG 737 for MSFS that is preparing to enter the testing environment itself. Currently in lockdown in Sydney so could use this in my life! Plus lockdown extended another 4 weeks today 😞 This will be the complete game changer for MSFS

I'm seriously struggling with the latest update. I primarily fly the TBM and it's unflyable (all other planes I've tried are as well). Nothing in my community folder and I can't steer any plane (I don't have any rudder pedals and have always just used ailerons for steering, not the best but it worked). I've mapped rudder to help but until I can get some rudder pedals, that's a bit of an issue. Also just seems like my throttle configs in general no longer work. The latest WT G3000 doesn't seem to want to work - just comes up with partial screens which are frozen. The 172s won't start due to the fuel shutoff not working apparently (CTRL-E of course will work). Finall…

Hey folks, I have updated my PMDG DC-6 to the latest version that is compatible with SU5. However, I have noticed kinda of big hit in the FPF (e.g 25) whereby FBW latest dev I would get 40 under the same conditions. Has anyone noticed this? Thanks

OK, so I have turned off the AI traffic, but I'm still getting constant CTD. Sometimes I get to the home screen, other times not. Other than deleting the entire package and starting over, does anyone have any tips? I've had no problems with CTDs prior to the SU5 update, so I'm going to guess something really bad has happened along the way. BTW, how does one fully delete MSFS? I have flown FSX, P3D (thru v4), and XP (9,10,11) and this has never happened before.

Has anyone other than me noticed that there is no major difference in performance between GA and Jet? I get exact same performance with JF Warrior and Cessna Longitude, before SU5 the difference was at least 10 fps, I have not tried the A-320 yet.

Hi, I don't believe my MSFS has updated with the most recent update released on the 27th. From what I have seen the home screen menu layout should have changed and it has not. Is there a way to force it to do so. The program checks for updates in the beginning but doesn't apply any. Any help is appreciated Thanks, Brett

Hello, For some reason Marketplace is greyed out for me all of a sudden, it was working earlier...also when I click on the profile icon on the top right it says Status Offline and I can't change servers as I was able to do so before the update. Anybody experiencing a similar problem??

For those who missed my announcement yesterday, there is a new update V6 for seasons to work with SU5. The old version does not work with SU5 I have submitted the new patch to Marketplace to update seasons but that might take them couple of weeks to update them. Updated to SU5 and updated all files in the Marketplace, but I don't see any change in the tree draw distance. I have the level of detail slider at 200. Considering MS said in a recent video the problem of the tree draw distance has been solved, I'm confused why the trees I see stop so close to the aircraft.

Hello I have this unique disfunction a day before the update and after the update. Aircrafts are unflyable. It does not matter which aircraft is loaded, A320, or general aviation, Cockpit at Gate slowly and unstoppable scrolls upward to Overhead. Pressing Q, S or Control + Space bar brings it back to default position but it starts scrolling up again. Mouse is completely ineffective. I have no clue what started this. Bill

I guess that I missed how to toggle the new cursor mode so I can use my trackball to click instrument buttons. Do I need to hold the ? key to toggle? Edit: Found it on the Assistance menu. Thanks bs
