Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Here is a new one .. took the JF warrior up for a quick spin, all looks normal until on final, then from nowhere the left seat has some stupid pilot flying the approach which will not go away until you have landed... any body seen this????

I have the latest Bonanza Turbo installed. Post update, the center of gravity is so far back, that any throttle has the tail hitting the ground. Is this because of the Bonanza Turbo (community) in place? Anybody else had this? No other changes, other than just loading in the Bonanza and with the reported back oriented center of gravity (balance). Is the Bonanza Turbo v3 not compatible with the current update? That is what I have installed.

Is there a way to make the external views of aircraft look non distorted like a fish eye lens view that is now used? It doesn't look realistic to me and detracts from my flight sim experience. Thanks

It appears the offset localizers are fixed. Tried a number of US airports with them and all worked properly.

Guys, how hard is it to add native sim object to a scenery ? All i want to do basically is add few street lights to a certain area.

My understanding is: bush flights discovery flights landing challenges detailed airports (large airports) elevation data Is there anything else? Is there always new elevation data? Is the satellite imagery improved? I usually fly GA so the large airports don't interest me and the various flights aren't that important to me. What am I getting in exchange for the storage space it takes up?

Since updating to SU6 I am unable to select Live Weather in the startup or within the sim. Is this a known problem?

Empty community folder user.cfg is read/write enabled 500 Mb/sec connection Downloaded and decompressed 4.84GB (98% of 4.96 GB) very quickly. At that point I see a message [196/214] - Please Wait and the the installer goes back to 3.77GB and quickly reloads up to 4.84 GB - over and over I stopped the download and then restarted FlightSim - I then see a message ADDITIONAL DISK SPACE / AVAILABLE SPACE -/198.93 GIB and pressing CONTINUE or BROWSE does nothing The SSD dedicated to FlightSim has 198GB free space on it. MSFS2020 represents a new generation in PC based flight simulation. It presents the world in which we fly - the earth, sky and weather – more accurately to the real world than anything previous. Yet aircraft addon developers seem to think they can just continue to sell their products without any significant upgrade in quality and accuracy. To my mind the only aircraft developers whose products are of suitable high quality for MSFS2020 are PMDG and A2A. I have been using MSFS 2020 since I bought it on steam 3 months ago - and took a break flying for a month. When I returned yesterday to launch a flight I got the launching screen and progress bar reaches about 70% then...nothing. I have to Ctrl-alt-del to quit flight simulator. I have repeated this at least 15 times - and last night reinstalled 100+GB of core game only to find this morning that the same problem persists. Previously had no problems and getting smooth performance all round at mid to upper quality. Haven't had much time to check, but does anyone know if they have finally fixed this issue yet?

Just a heads up that if anyone ever uses the Best Mixture command that it's currently very broken in SU6 - it's setting mixture to 9% irrespective of the actual best mixture and then is you press it a second time it then breaks the mixture control entirely so that you can't alter it with an axis, key command or by dragging the lever in the cockpit. Guess that teaches people for being lazy and not leaning manually.

I am finding all my Data Connection options greyed out.. I signed out/in into the XBox app and started MSFS from there.. still in offline mode.. Anyone have any advice?

Is there a forum for Airport Design Editor for MSFS? I am trying to set up a project and cannot find information on what to enter in the box "Output Folder" in the Project section of F20 Project Properties?

Team is aware of it since SU6 and already has a flight_model.cfg available on their discord channels for both 135 and 145... Just a heads up and if you have any sort of epilepsy I am not being funny do not load and fly either prior to the fix. The twitching is not noticeable at first but when it starts I had to shut down the sim as it was literally hurting my eyes.

Just flew the CRJ into EGLC and came in too high, had to go around. my pilot suddenly reported to ATC that I am "going missed". ATC then assigned new altitude. Cannot remember this ever happend before. anybody else experienced this before or is this new?

I tried to launch MSFS today, didn't run it for some time. Steam made a quick update and the sim started without doing any update, and it started. The only difference I saw is a nice image of London appearing at the beginning of the loading process. The problem is that it always tells me I am offline, maybe this is why the update is not really done and it doesn't go through the step "Checking for updates". I tried to log out and log in again but it didn't change anything, whatever I do I am offline. And I can tell you my Internet connection is not broken. Am I the only one having this problem?

I thought this would be changed in SU6 to let us go to 400? Only Terrain LOD is able to be set at 400.

Steam updated the base app just fine. Trying to download the main content at the loading screen and after a few seconds I keep getting "connection lost". Servers just overloaded? Never seen this before though I've heard of other having issues over the last year. Even more frustrating is it's definitely not my PC. House has been wired for networking since the last update and my PC has full access to my 1.2Gig connection right now and it's definitely up.

What are these other folders for in the Packages directory? Can they be deleted safely? I'm assuming they're extra configs for mods that'll get re-built if deleted but wanted to check. The sims starts out with just Community and Official. Thanks
