I had an update in the content library for the Carenado Mooney tonight. Not sure what this update is or does, because I checked Carenado's product page which shows the current version as 1.3, but the last update in the version history is 1.2 from Nov. 2020. Here's the info. from Content Manager after updating.

I used to think rainbows are rare phenomena after being around for more than half a century on this planet but in FS2020 i am garanteed to see many. Makes me wonder if that is at all realistic ? What isn't is the complete lack of any interesting wheather at jet cruise altitudes. that's for sure.

After abandoning the option to update my MSFS 2020, I spent 12 hours yesterday doing a full reinstall. Following this, I started MSFS, all OK, exited, closed down and went to bed. This morning, caught up on the forums [laptop], started MSFS PC to find NO MSFS IN THE SYSTEM. How wonderful is that?? Very disappointed. Oh well, give it a rest for a day or two then install the Steam version, purchased yesterday, and see whether that will start/run etc. As I say, MOST DISAPPOINTED. BR. M.

Just a heads up for anyone like me that is still sitting on the fence about buying MS Flight Sim, there is currently a 20% price reduction lasting for 4 days. I checked the discount deal is avalable both on the MS store and on Steam. I am still undecided, its way more than I usually spend on my PC games. Any feedback for the very casual gamer welcomed :)

The B747-8 Salty mod is broken at the moment - should be fixed next days.. The 787-10 Heavy Division mod was broken but is fixed last night from the Dev`s, so downloading the newest B78XH-main.zip file should work OK. Load a Simbrief plan into the FMC ( 787-10 ) should also work with the Heavy Division mod ( didn`t worked before ). I looked around there Github pages and there i got this Informations.. cheers 😉

Real weather and traffic working, autopilot working, no approach flyback bug (this time), absolutely glorious graphics AND performance with all settings maxed out. SU6 is definitely the best update so far. I think Asobo is on the right path finally. P.S. Oh no, PAPI lights are missing 😞

What's this setting for exactly?

Hi all The last few months I have noticed I can no longer switch the AP on via the ap panel switch in the c172 classic, it just flickers roll and won't engage. the only way I can get it to function is to press ctrl A keys then it's comes on but it arms all modes initially until you deselect them. In the past I was just able to enable via the ap switch in the cockpit. Not the end of the world but would like to know what changed Thanks Wayne

Just curious what the community thinks here regarding Asobo being the game developer chosen by MS to work on the next gen MSFS? Do you guys think that there are other developers or studios that could've done a better job? I think the team at Asobo are crushing it! I love their dedication, communication, commitment and transparency with the community. I think MS did there homework well in choosing them as the developers for MSFS.

At Dulles, LAX, Atlanta etc. I see no AI aircraft at all, is there some setting to enable them ?

Since the last update, live traffic activity says "server offline." Sometimes if I wait long enough live traffic will populate, sometimes not. Did not encounter this before the update.

While my ch joystick settings remained intact after the update, my generic usb joystick lost all of its settings. I am able to set the axis, but when I try to program the buttons, the sim locks up after the sim recognized an input. From this point on, I cannot get out of the window without closing the sim. The mouse highlights the various fields, but they do not have any effect. I read about recovering the old setting from a video the other day, but I am curious to know if anyone else has this problem. It's a bug that applies to generic joysticks.

From SU6 release until 9:00 am this morning, I was awol with MS servers, not the internet. This morning, after numerous computer restarts (including Steam restarts) I was still awol concerning MS servers. So I did the dreaded "verify files" within Steam. The expected result was that MSFS 2020 was no longer installed. Quit Steam, rebooted windows 11, restarted steam and opened MSFS 2020 and hit "play". MSFS 2020 re-installed in 2 1/4 hours. All appears fine now.

There are many bugs affecting these activities and nobody's taking care of them. It seems that the bugginess and shabbiness of the entire achievements system is given for granted by everybody. First of all I and many others have totally lost the progress of the bush trips, flight training and landing challenges updating from SU4 to SU5 Currently my US bush trip is bricked at Herlong (H37): I landed there correctly but the leg is not registered. Since ATC modeled after FAA rulebook, If you are on fly following you don't need to ask transition trough Charlie airspace! All you need is to establish two ways radio communication (which is flight following itself)! 🙂

I was reluctant to use this site at first, but their EGSU Duxford Aerodrome got my attention. At first I was discouraged because I was having difficulty in understanding how to unzip the files and get them into the Community folder. Have finally figured that out. I have 14 folders now (15 GB total). But only 6 folders if I do not include the 5 for static aircraft and the 3 folders for AI ships. Is there a recommended optimal limit to the number of folders in the community folder? Thank you.
