Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just purchased Rex Weather force, but I don't understand how to enable historical weather. It is greyed out in the program. I can only use live weather or DWP (dynamic). How can I enable historical weather?

One of the things I miss most from previous sims (P3d v4, v3 and even FSX) was taxi'ing through and airport and seeing a huge variety of different airlines, and different aircraft parked at their gates and going about their flights. Even though it wasn't 'live', many of the 3rd party add ons followed real schedules which meant you would find the right airlines and airframes at the right airports. Does anyone know of any payware developers who are working on something similar for MSFS? Thanks.

Flying the FBW A320(exp), I have, for the last 3 days lost accurate winds aloft. I am currently enroute at FL380. Ground speed(448k) is basically matching my TAS. Confirmed VATSIM is showing me at 448k GS. All was working well until a couple of days ago. Live weather is ON. What could be the issue.Thanks for your replies in advance.

Hi, I can't seem to use my TCA Throttles for this airplane. Idle is approx 20% and Flex as well as CLB detents don't line up. I am flying the FlybyWire A320neo (Experimental) w/o problems and have the throttles set up perfect. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks for help

Bought the 140B last night and I can't find any switch in the cocpit for the taxi light. Apparently the 140B is equipped with taxi light beacause I can turn I't on with my taxi light button on the Honecomb Alpha. There´s two knobs/sliders that are inop in the cockpit. Are one of those supposed to be for the taxi light?

Upon looking at the description, it appears that the traffic only works at the airports listed. I am not sure if I am understanding correctly though. Cheers, Pete

Just started a flight and no ATC, no dialogue window, nothing. On the quick toolbar top of screen the button isn't there. If I go into options on the quick menu bar it's greyed out. I've checked to make sure ATC is switched on in the main menu, all OK there. I've tried a PC restart, no joy. The only thing that's changed is an update for my BN-2 Islander. Any help appreciated.

First off I will say I use REX skyforce for P3d and HIGHLY recommend it. I have always been amazed with there weather products. However Asobo has stated only limited weather options are opened up for developers, so I'm wondering if REX can work enough of there magic to make it worth this product at this time. Really the only complaint I have about the weather now is the popcorn cloud effect we see sometimes. Thoughts?

Is it possible to key bind the nav switch in the JustFlight Arrows? The one by the ignition switch I'd like to either use a Bravo black toggle switch to switch between Nav1 and Nav2 or at the very least map a key press to toggle between the two

Hey folks, I’ve been a pc simmer since fs 95 came out, I currently have a PlayStation 4 of which is on the fritz and was gonna purchase a ps5 but then thought maybe I’ll get an Xbox instead to casually use msfs for a quick fix. In doing some research I’m confused between a series s and a series X? Other than the not having a disk drive, would there be any reason to not go with an “S”? I don’t plan on leaving simming on the pc as that is in my opinion the preferred method for simming for my uses (with all my equipment I have invested) , but figured If I’m investing in a new console might as well go that route for the option. My understanding is that MFS2020 has a realistic night sky representation with correct positioning of the stars. If that is correct are there any payware/freeware mods that would place labels on the constellations ? I find the night sky compelling at night, particularly in VR and it would be great to have my own planetarium to while away the long night flights.

I've been using "WeLoveVFR region 1" for months now, and I downloaded region 2 the other day after Asobo mentioned it during their community update. Well, this was found in my YT suggestions today, so I figured I'd take a quick look. I almost spit hot tea over my monitor..... And, "I really can't get higher settings, my video card is melting".

This started yesterday, and I restarted pc and thought it was fixed. I tried two aircraft, and same issue. In The cockpit view, the view slowly pans to the left. This happens with Track IR on or off. To center the view again, I hit the F key, and it goes back to centers and then starts drifting again. I am wondering if something has screwed up in MSFS requiring a reinstall. If I use the hat switch and switch to left or right window, the view is steady and doesn't move. As soon as I go back to center view, it starts drifting again.

I have been a big user of this mod and it is wonderful. I have also lurked on their Discord and the discussions there are quite deep and can be intimidating. However, my question is very simple and I was hoping for kind of a simple answer or your thoughts. Why do suppose the elected to disable the default terrain map and wx radar? I suspect they want to further develop the wx radar (a long process at best) but the default terrain mapping is great (don't know what would need to be done). So why not leave the default in until whatever changes they have are ready to be implemented?

So now that the simconnect deal is fixed, I have like many enjoyed vatsim a lot! I have a question regarding vfr planning when flying on vatsim though, because many times you will get reporting points like "clear to exit the control zone via Nannestad, 3000 feet or below" (Norway), or "due to incoming traffic, hold over Bibi" (Sweden). Where do I find those reporting points? Do I have to go to each respective country's icao page and find them there? Tried looking in skyvector, little nav map and navigraph, but they don't have the vfr charts with the reporting points. If I need to do a bit of detective work everytime I feel a vfr flight plan, that sounds like a bit …

I have just returned to Flight Sim after .... 25 years. I am thinking of purchasing an X Box X series with Flight Simulator 2020 Premium Deluxe Edition. I am slightly confused by Microsoft as I don't wan't to get involved in a monthly plan, I simply want to purchase X Box X series Flight Simulator 2020 Premium Deluxe Edition on a disk and we don't want any other games but obviously we want the updates for Flight simulator is that possible? Or do we have to take out a monthly plan. We don't want to plan on line. Also we want the Premium deluxe version for X Box not the standard or the deluxe version. Although there is nothing MSFS related in the changelog, this driver allows to customize the size of the shader cache. Moreover the annoying bug related to square pixels appearing when panning the view at resolution scale higher than 100 seems gone. Hello all, Hope you can help me with my Track IR problem. When i start FS 2020 everything works fine. I can look around and when i press the Center button the view resets itself towards the center. But somehow along the way the centerpoint shifts. When i press the center button the default centerview suddenly looks at the ceiling or far to the right or left. And i cant get the centerview back to the default position. I have to go back to the main menu, restart the flight and then TIR has its default centerview again. Does someone know how this happens and what i can do to re - "calibrate" TIR when this happens? Thanks in advance, greetings Boby
