Is there a way to remove POIs on the world map? I find them a real PITA when trying to pinpoint a departure airport. I have turned off all the POI settings in the assistance menu.

For the last hour or so, when loading a flight (in USA), i get a message saying my bandwidth is too low for photogrammetry and it turns off that as well as Bing (actually using the Google one). Anyone else experiencing this? I checked my bandwidth and I have 100mbs up and down.

Having an issue where msfs CTD's on approach... Every single time! Always on approach within about 30 miles (or closer) while in descent and about to turn to final. Simple VFR direct flights more or less 'hands on' as in maybe AP following a heading and altitude hold. Regardless of airport, flight plan, aircraft, etc etc. Thinking it has something to do with a data download?

In 08/2020 I installed MSFS via the boxed-version without problems and got all updates without major issues via the Store. About 1 week ago suddenly I could not start MSFS - only the Store popped up. Obviously this issue appears sometimes and so I tried to solve this by using the felt hundreds of tricks and advices in different forums and also given by Microsoft, but without success. Quick question but out of the large Boeing jets currently available which I guess are the CS 777, the default 787 and default 747 all with mods available which would be the best option? Well well aware there are payware renditions of these in other sims, I own them just looking for what the best thing to hold me over in MSFS is for the time being until those add-ons make there way over. After performing the WAY TOO difficult upgrade to my Aerosoft CRJ 550/700 to Aerosoft CRJ 550/700/900/1000 my aircraft does start and fly as expected. Unfortunately tho, the pilot and co-pilot MFD Range Selector no longer works and my MFD is currently stuck on 40 miles. Anyone else’s seeing similar? UPDATE: After a complete uninstall (including Aerosoft "m' files in App Local) I determined that the range ring is indeed INOP on only the CRJ 1000 which was the first plane I tried when I wrote this original post. I found some threads from last year discussing issues with Coherent GTDraw and effects on performance but they were not similar to the issue I have currently been experiencing. I have generally satisfactory frame rate but with the A320NX I experience a repeating stutter about every four seconds. Looking at the FPS Display under dev mode, the stutter is perfectly timed with a red drop of the Coherent GTDraw parameter for a split second every four seconds or so. I've tried messing with various graphical settings and while that will alter my average FPS, no setting I have messed with will get ride of this particular stutter. Is there a known problem with the autopilot and ILS approach? I have tried 3 airports, I capture the glide slop. The diamond starts to come down. Then keeps on going down to the bottom. So I believe it captures the glide slop. But just ignores it. Any help would be appreciated. Airports: KPHL KBOS and KPHX. Thank You. Bill McCracken

Hello, Currently I own a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, which I have for a while, and it did job very well. But for now I want to make an upgrade for something better for MSFS. I look for something with good fidelity and good reliability. I searched on google and looked for stocks in my country, and the best I found for the price is Thrustmaster T.1600M FCS Flight Pack (which include TFRP rudder pedals and TWCS throttle) . An other variant would be Saitek X52 Pro which have almost same price, or Saitek X56 which is a bit more expensive. I read few reviews about Saitek joysticks and many had problems with reliabilty and few recommended this Thrustmaster instead. I …

Just took off from Athens LGAV and wanted to take a look at Athens at 3500 ft. I remarked the horrible patch loading. With the darker Western Europe buildings it does not show that obvious. Using 200 for Objects / 250 Terrain 2x 43” 4K with 0.35 zoom ( like 0.70 for 1 display )

When the sim is loading and the music plays, the volume switches between lets say 50 and 100% when either a loadingscreen is changed or when switching between stuff in the menu. Anybody else having the same problem?

Since the update, I am getting a CTD when starting up at certain airports or areas. Just had a great flight in Massachusetts, but then tried to load up a flight at KSBA, only to CTD after a few seconds on the ramp. Same thing at KBUR. I have the ORBX scenery so I uninstalled it but still got the CTD. Anyone else having similar issues? I have all of the assistance features I could find turned off but when I am flying around the radios will change randomly. I assume its the remnants of whatever AI programming there is but I can't seem to get rid of it. I've reinstalled the sim, and all of my addons. It happens independent of what aircraft I'm using and it happens offline and in VATSIM. Any ideas?

Now that the AIG beta is filling up my airports I’m getting a hankering to start editing the AFCAD files for my favourite airports to better reflect reality. I feel like I had seen a beta of a tool to do this in MSFS some time ago but it can’t remember for sure. Has anyone tried messing around with this in MSFS? I did a lot of airports in FSX/P3D so if it’s a similar approach I should be able to start cranking out some improved files, hopefully for public consumption.

I've got all 1218 flight plans installed and so far the airports have finally come to life! I would like to know what the best possible way to load up at an airport, using as little system resources as possible in order to get the best performance? I won't be flying, but just using the drone camera to do some plane spotting. I wish there was an invisible plane model or something like BOB from P3D that you can use. Instead of actually selecting a real plane. Since I won't be flying.

An example of the problems facing AI parking. This is Lynchburg Regional Airport (KLYH) in Virginia, US, served by American Eagle. In reality it has about three gates at the terminal. In MSFS there are 27 GA spots at the terminal, and dozens more elsewhere. Major airports are better but still fairly bad. Regional airports are pretty hopeless for now if this is any indication.
