Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

If I have the sim open and then add something to the Community folder it then shows up in the Content Manager as not installed. I then select it. How do I install it from there? I have been having to close to the desktop, then restart, which takes a while. Is there a better way? Roy

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how do I go about selecting a NAV frequency in this aircraft? I think it's the G3X avionics? Thanks

Who uses MATRIC without any problems? I purchased the Matric app. A great tool for MSFS2020, but it doesn't run smoothly. - If I edit the layout while FS20 is loaded, the buttons no longer work. No matter what I try...... Restarting Matric on PC and Android device doesn't help either. The only thing that helps is shutting down everything, rebooting PC and restarting FS20 and Matric. This way it's almost impossible to edit.... Tell me what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have a solution for this? Well, I bought (should have used the trial...) FSRealistic, and the short is...v1.0.3 and it says it is connected, but no Option Tab shows up...only Connected (successful) Settings, and About. When I load in a plane, any plane, or set up a flight...no Options tab or anything. Is there a keyboard command you need to use to open up the Options tab? Nothing in the manual at all... Has anybody got this to load properly and you have a Options Tab? If so...how did you do it? How does the Options Menu show up? Where does it show up, if working correctly? I went to the Monroe, NC air show this past weekend and watched in amazement the guy with the Pitts doing all kinds of loops, rolls and maneuvers. Got me so pumped up, I came home and fired up the Pitts and tried my hand at it. Can't do those barrel rolls 20 feet off the ground yet, but had a lot of fun with it. Yeah, I crashed a few times, but that's the beauty of this sim. You just hit restart and try again. The only thing I need now to make it more realistic is some smoke trails. Anyone know it there is an add on or how to get some smoke. Thanks, Roy

I just downloaded the DC F-14 and find the pilot seems to be siting off the right side of the seat which causes the view angle to be appx 15 to 2 degrees off center. This makes it very difficult to line up runway when landing. Is this normal or a glitch? Is there some way to correct the angle?

All the hype on fsrealistic, figured I’d try the demo, on day 1 of 7 and was wondering if anyone was having issues with the program crashing…I start up msfs, fsrealistic says it has started, but usually when my msfs flight is loading up I get a screen that fsrealistic has stopped working, out of say about 10 times I’d say it happens about 8 times where it stops working, but msfs still loads up fine…Was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. I do use Simshaker, and read that it can cause issues if not updated, so I updated it but still getting the crash of fsrealistic.

I have installed the AIG addon and i have aircrafts on the airport. But none of them are moving. I noticed also that all airports that spawn aig aircrafts are messing up the Atc. Atc not answering because i only have the traffic option in the atc menu. Anyone know a solution?

One thing bothered me from day one is undocked 2nd window in MSFS reduced fps enormously. Like the default VFR MAP from the top bar. Also fspm-panel-vfrmap from flightsim.to. The issue: only an (low fps) undocked window can be dragged away to a 2nd monitor, a (high fps) docked window cannot. (You click the window top center icon (the square) to undock. And then to dock it again, click the window top right icon (X). ) fps will jump way up or way down when you change. undocked, movable to another monitor, fspm-panel-vfrmap docked, not movable to another monitor This is true of all the windows that the top bar can open…

Hello, I thought I had my sim looking real good, but apparently I don't. It does run great though! So, just wondering if someone can point me to the correct setting in MSFS or nVidia that can make the weird texture issue a little better please. Also, other aircraft lights and lights on the ground appear to be squares almost look like big pixels, maybe the two issues are related. I'm sure someone will ask my specs so. The Linker tool, Can we use it with Alpha India, Traffic? What about using some of the Liveries and not all? Is that possible!

I see the option to invert a flight plan is there in the NXi if I am on the MFD flight plan screen, and click the Menu key. But I cannot determine how load a previously saved flight plan back into MSFS -and- stay positioned at what was previously a destination airport from where I could fly an inverted plan. Here is an example: Yesterday completed a flight from KHXD, Hilton Head, SC, to MYNN, Nassau, Bahamas. I saved that flight plan from the MSFS Flight Planning screen before that flight. Today I want to reverse that trip and fly back to Hilton Head from Nassau. So I select Nassau as my From/Departure. But when I load the saved flight plan in MSFS, MSFS …

Up until today, I was using this mod without an issue. However, today when I try to load it, I get a message saying "You have an application using 443 port. please close them". What is that from and how do I find out what is using that port (whatever that means)?

I purchased the Steam version, I'll never buy again something from the Marketplace / MS Store The sim just didn't want to launch. Anyway. Now I'm trying to configure the controllers, the joystick and the throttle ( virtual ) react very very slow. Tested with some different flight simulators, no issues. Any advices, guys? I wish I could import all the settings from the MS Store version, but I guess is not possible Any advices are welcome, thank you

Can a camera view be setup as a "top down view" or "eye in the sky" say a thousand feet above an airport to see how the static traffic is laid out? I could do this in Aerofly FS2 and had views from 500m, 1000m and 2000m. It was very handy for getting the big picture when in the sim. Regards, Ray

The EFB on the FBW A320 has a screen with failures and they are all green. Does that mean they are on... or off? When I click on them they become red. I am not sure what the state is here... I de don't want failures for now so...

I am flying the FBW A320 for the second time. This time I wanted to have MSFS ATC to give something extra to the trip. However, when I load the Simbrief exported plan into MSFS it is also loaded in the MCDU and it seems impossible to use the FBW A320 Simbrief integration in the MCDU... The option INIT REQUEST isn't there and the option OFP REQUEST SEND and REFUEL LOAD doesn't do anything. Is there a way to keep the Simbrief integration AND have default ATC at the same time...?

I had AIG running previously in P3D v4. I have since removed v4 however, I still have all of the Models and Flightplans in my AIG directory. AIG is kind of messed up somehow and I have started over by installing AIG AI Manager and the AIG Controller into new separate directories. My question is how do I copy over my existing models and flightplans so the Manager and Controller can read them and set everyting back up again. here is the folder structure I have in the "Old" AIG setup.
