Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

So today I start Flight Sim and get the notice of the mandatory update. All it says is to go to the store. I go there and can not find any mention of a download. Can someone tell me where to look? Of course the sim wont start until I do the download. Thanks

When a METAR reports 10SM, the vis is 10 in the sim lol. This is a real bummer - I think XP had this issue for a while too. Hopefully they can address this along with the many bugs introduced. I'm not sure how it is outside USA, but 10SM here means unlimited visibility essentially. Pretty self explanatory question

I guess it's time to give up any shred of hope for a functional save function. When I load a saved flight, the menu is still not accessible to change fuel, contact ATC, re-enable TrackIR since that's broken now, etc. Really dumb for a game in 2021 to have a non functional save/reload function. No excuse for this

What am I supposed to do with this?! No option to select an aircraft, select destination etc, etc.? WT(F)?

Bought the TPR rudders a few days ago, were working perfectly! But now SU7.... While on the ground taking off or taxiing or when standing still when I move the rudder pedals they seem to be counteracted by some other force, so for instance when steering to the right with the pedals, in cockpit this go left in a shivering manner. When I move the rudder pedals to the extreme right or left and keep my feet and TPR still in the sim they move back to the center. I have all assistance and autorudder OFF. In the control options in the sensitivy graphs the pedals are moving just fine. Very precise on the axis, no self centering.

My PC is in for repair so I'm curious how well the slider works.

I put together a package of monitors, stress testers, and test flights to determine if there really is a problem with lost connections or streaming errors/failures - ALL now done under SU7 PC/Stream/Win 10 - Nothing running on PC except monitors and sim - NO security or firewall active - Comcast 500 Mbs fiber connection. Ran a continuous load against the internet and measured an Average/Minimum Download speed of 440Mbs/390 Mbs. The Upload speed was always within 5% of 24Mbs and the Average/Maximum Ping was 19/24ms. Received this from Parallel42 in my email today. Was reading through it and came across this little gem. Would be great to see ChasePlane make its way to MSFS and looking forward to this official announcement.

Maybe I'm 🤪. But wasn't there supposed to be a Tree Draw distance slider in the options now from SU7? Thought it was mentioned in the last Q&A around SU6 release time frame. Something like Seb said it's not needed but Jorg had mentioned putting it in there anyway.

I updated the sim and did 1 flight then exited to desktop. Now when I try to open the sim I get the message "you are missing essential packages that are essential to run MSFS2020, please update the application" and just gives me the option to quit. Why is this?

After updating everything. Goto Controls, reset mouse to default even if its allready set to that. Or world map will not move. Assist page are all set to easy= Reset to HARD Make sure your on DX11 in options, I see no new tree slider..... TrackIR for me still works perfect, but if it switchers OFF, the drop down camera now has an option at the very top to turn back ON if its turned turned off or goes off. Please add more if you find things that need doing.

Just updated. When I select a departure and arrival airport and IFR the only thing available now is direct routing. No departure and arrival procedures. Anyone else experiencing this?

Can anyone help me. I can't start the PC6 from cold and dark. I can't even do the ctrl+e I've got the fuel knob on the left to level, turned left/right I turn on the master, the line heat, boost pump, ignition, starter I wait until 20% and move condition lever up. nothing. it just stays in that spinning state, the engine never fires.

Hi, Since SU5 , ASOBO have not fixed mouse cursor issue (Disappearing and not appearing back during translation in cockpit) and this spesific bug really kills sim experience for who suffers from it. Please vote on this froum page if you haven't already and would be so appreciated if you are able to report this issue via Zendesk to pull devs attention over it. Kind regards.

A2A have been having problems brining Accusim to MSFS to the extent that a month or so ago they feared there was a possibility they wouldn't be able to bring it to MSFS at all - however a post yesterday announced they've made a breakthrough and "All major road blocks are cleared" Doesn't sound like their Comanche 250 will be arriving any time soon but at least we know it will be arriving at some point. https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=72920&start=150#p555669

I purchased the Aerosoft CRJ Package. The 500,700,800 and 900. For some reason none of the dials on the quadrant change the settings in the plane. I have to use the mouse to set ALT, VS, HDG, ALS, Course, etc. I can only make these settings "on The Screen". The Speed Brakes, Throttles, and Flaps work on the Quad, just the dials are not seeing the CRJ. On my honeycomb yoke I also noticed the Light switches don't operate the switches in the plane, I can only move them on the screen. I'm thinking this is an Aerosoft/Honeycomb problem because I just now tried switching the aircraft to the Cessna Citation and the QUAD dials work as they should. I notice when I select the CRJ t…
