Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

On the US East server (auto) and no clouds to be found with live weather on. When selecting my arrival, KLAS, says no Metar available. Anyone getting this? Toggling live weather on/off does nothing.

After a successful first flight yesterday, this issue has come up today and is driving me a bit crazy. Yesterday I calibrated my throttles using the A310’s built in calibration and it worked fine. I had my throttle axes configured using FSUIPC as I normally do. No problem. Today my throttle won’t go to idle when my hardware is at the idle detent, even when I recalibrate them again and the calibration tool shows them at idle. I tried disabling my FSUIPC settings for throttle and using the in-sim throttle assignments. Again, the calibration tool shows the throttle as being at idle, but now putting the hardware to idle results in the plan going into reverse thr…

Is there a complete guide somewhere that has the correct sentence to say to ATC from start to end of flight and patterns work(Vfr). Like, what I mean, a "dummies guide to vatsim" , so I can just almost read from a script to what to say from start to finish. After having been a vatsim member since 2010, today was my first time I ever dared to actually ask for that radio check. I was sweating, scared:p, but after I got the reply, it felt like a big weight got off my shoulder and I feel ready to do my first touch and goes. But I need to know the whole flow from beginning to end written down on paper. Tried googling it, but cant really find what im looking for.

Hello everyone! After years waiting for MSFS2020 and then saving up for my build... I am FINALLY back in the sim and on VATSIM with MSFS2020. After getting all my settings figured out I have come across one massive issue... I can't taxi or make accurate turns. I have tried stock aircraft, PMDG 737 series, and LatinVFR Airbus. Not a single aircraft is accurately making turns within an acceptable or realistic radius while taxiing. Every airplane nose wheel just "skids" if trying to make tight turns above literally 2kts or a "creep." With full nose wheel deflection even at 3-5kts the aircraft all "skid" and even on less drastic turns, the turning accuracy while taxiing…

Is is possible to reassign the "Active Pause" function to another device (i.e., other than a keyboard)? I would like to assign it to a single key in a separate numeric keypad, If yes, how is this done? Thanks, Brian

Have this strange issue, where sometimes buttkicker stops working in middle of flight for no apparent reason, then I have to alt tab into Windows turn off my buttkicker and back on again then go into Hapticonnect software and push test to get it going again... Its so annoying because it instantly kills immersion, the plane just suddenly feels like a Glider, always look at my instrument to check if engine still running, because it feels like the engine just stopped, but its not.. After a successful flght into Auckland (NZAA) last night I did my normal procedure - fired up the Drone Camera and zipped off over the landscape to take in the city and surrounding area (a way to introduce my self to new areas of the world). As I proceeded north of the airport everything suddenly froze and she crashed. This is the first CTD I've had in a months. Today, I loaded up a FP from NZAA to NZKT (Kaitaia) at the northern tip of New Zealand and took off. As I neared the same area as the Drone was in yesterday - CTD. They did it again. Why did they do it? And how can I prevent it? Can I save all settings? Thankfully, I have my own keyboard settings etc. But I have to disable the external HUD etc. etc.

Hi Hope this is the right place to post. I have bought a gaming PC for my son's 25th birthday (surprise!) and want to put Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe on it. I'm confused about whether i have to do the Xbox Live pass or if I can just buy it from Amazon/Game etc or from one of the cheaper sellers like CDKeys. Advice much appreciated. I'd like to download it this weekend if possible. TIA

I bought KBUF and KLAX from iniBuilds. I bought them via Paypal and Simmarket I believe. How do I get updates to the airports via the iniManager? It recognizes my login credentials, but it doesn't recognize my purchases. Thanks!

I read on Carenado's facebook page something which surprised me quite a bit. They mentioned they are addressing older msfs products and bugs and will fix them hopefully come January. Since GSX, I have MSFS freezing (minutes) upon load and sometimes crashing (does not load at all but remains frozen). Today MSFS received a small update and now the sim freezez and an error message is shown stating that an application is preventing Couatl to load and if I skip to load it, the sim works perfectly.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent British Airways 787-10 repaint? I assume it would alos use the B78XH mod?

I was fiddling around with two other sims I own that don’t have photogrammetry or orthos built in and while I closed them quickly due to other issues, I DID like how the ground is never puke green or brown or winter snow in the midst of summer (I fly in my home state of Wisconsin where the orthos are sometimes great, sometimes yuck). I tried running without any online imagery and it wasn’t THAT bad? It was consistently colored, for sure, and silky smooth...and the streets and rivers and landclass type seemed about right. Maybe I’ve lost my mind? 🙂

Surprised to see that no one has done these airports for MSFS still.

Of course the best answer is No. But is MSFS the best Flight Sim then I would say yes. Reasons for that is MSFS seems to get most thing right. Problems still exist with AI and certain rendering issues but for the most part MSFS gets it right. For these reasons I would say that MSFS IS the perfect flight sim currently. sp

So I have read post that say the error the CTD issue "your graphic device has encountered a problem ..." is a bug and has nothing to do with your graphics card and others which say adjustments to your graphics settings will cure....which is it? Thanks. Dave
