Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I recently swapped my CH Eclipse yoke to a new-to-me Honeycomb Alpha and I just can't get the hat switch to pan in the cockpit without it automatically centering itself when I release it. My CH didn't do this...until I reconnected it today and it was also centering automatically. I watched a youtube video that specifically addressed this situation to no avail. I know I've probably made some little change but darned if I can figure out what it is. Thanks in advance for saving my sanity. 🙂

Hello all, Some friends and I have been using APL from Simbitworld for the past few months. An issue which has come up for some of us (the ones who are like cool let's fly somewhere other than ORD or ATL) is that some countries don't have any Navigraph data, or won't be recognized in Simbrief, etc. Any tips? My first thought is all of the airports in China that don't have international service, but there are some in Africa as well.

I’m so amazed what you can do by following a Youtube tutorial (thank you Fying Theston : Creating Animated Scenery - Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 SDK Tutorials - YouTube). Ok, you need also to look at MSFS Scenery Editor and Blender 🙂 And all this for free. So much to learn. Should be soon available in the next update of my free little Californian scenery Gillespie (KSEE). A big thank you to all who share their knowledge to beginner like me!

Whilst I normally install most of my addons in the community folder, I have installed some of them into the localcache/packages/official/onestore folder. Whilst I can see no difference in the results whichever location is used, does it actually make any difference other than the community folder is a neater solution.

Hi anyone else experiencing this ? The VDGS recognises the gate number at EBBR when spawned in but no flight details are ever displayed. Flightplan with simbrief is downloaded. Both FBW A320 and default A320 both show all VDGS details. Weird. Got tgo be something to do with simbrief but no idea what ?? Thanks.

Was flying the Carenado 182 with no problems. Actually one of the best aircraft that had no problems. Everything worked as it should. MSFS 2020 had an update for this aircraft, and now they screwed it up. Autopilot comes on automatically on the ground as soon as I set VS. Auto pilot not following the flight plan, Throttle seems to not be able to slow down like it should. This update just messed this plane up terribly. Is it possible to get the old one back. They should have left it alone, as this is probably the only Carenado aircraft that was working properly. Thanks Guy's Walt

Way longer than I have time to watch, but for the juiciest part at 2 hours and 19 minutes where Robert discusses the 757 where he says "We have a 757 cockpit that's basically ready to go. We have a 767 cockpit ready to go." Can't wait to see it. If any of you are retired and have time, feel free to link some other juicy tidbits you find! Looks like a great interview.

Go to DAAG airport in Algeria on the world map and see if you see vanishing satelite imagery of the surrounding area as you zoom in and out. As though it's switching between two image sets. Then park at the airport and see if you see the same thing where the textures are swtiching about between the taxiways and runways. Wherever there is grass/satellite imagery. It's not the same problem as the vanishing airport ground textures with DX12 as it is not the airport textures that are vanishing and it is happening in DX11. It's a different issue and only happening around DAAG airport/Algiers. Well, it's the only place I have found that does it. Wondering if it's just…

Hi Folks. I am needing some assistance from you after having spent quite a bit of time trying to get my CH Yoke axes to operate both the Condition/Mixture and the Propeller lever in the Kodiak. I can get them moving only as far as the detent positions. I have tried various mapping choices but I cannot get full travel through the detents in each lever. I mean of course in the virtual cockpit quadrant. My yoke has no detent positions. Has anyone managed to get full travel with the CH yoke? There are lots of options in the Controls Options Power Management section but all of the ones I have tried do not give me full travel of the cockpit levers. I always stick at t…

From when i got the game i couldn't start live weather as the video shows. I don't know what could cause this problem. I tried a lot of fixes from other live weather problems but nothing will work. I have just downloaded a GSX Pro profile for London Luton (EGGW) from flightsim.to. In the description the author states 'I have accurately mapped out passenger pathways from Gate to Aircraft' - which I thought was great as it is an airport I use regularly. I followed this instruction 'This is a simple drag and drop file. Jus drag and drop the gsx file into your C:/User/AppData/Roaming/Virtuali/MSFS folder' So with the file in the folder - I start MSFS2020, place the PMDG 737-800 at a Gate in front of the main terminal and start GSX. Since it appeared, I couldnt use the default Airbus 310, as everytime selected it caused a CTD, even with MSFS running in safe mode.- I didnt see any thread related, so it seems I am the only one affected.- Any ideas ?

I have the honeycomb throttle and bravo quadrant. I thought about using spad.next (or axes and ohs) to keep configurations outside of the sim. I basically want to create profiles for about 5 different configs like in this video: From the sounds of it, at least with spad, it seems like there needs to be a new profile for EVERY aircraft in the sim? For what i'm doing this feels like wayyy too much work, as there are tons of buttons and assignments that have to be manually inputted.. I was hoping it would have some sort of prefilled defaults already there like msfs does (tons of buttons etc for the bravo at least). Whats the best app…

Worked fine when I first got it, and I haven't used it much since the first couple of weeks but I thought I'd see what the updates did. But when I tried to update, it downloaded and got to the point where it was decompressing files, and then just hung there for hours. I tried uninstalling it completely and reinstalling, but it got stuck at the same point. Is this a known thing, or is something messed up on my end?

So I just overflew KSLC area at FL370. Real-time weather and time as well. It was around 0200z. Maybe I simply don’t recall but the whole city running north and south was really lit up with night lights that was wholly unrealistic. I’m talking the ground, everything was bathed in a bright orange glow. Even the mountain side facing the city was lit up. Most my setting on Ultra. Can someone confirm if this is expected sim behavior or is it just me?

Good day, I need a little help from my friends: I decided to move my MSFS from a SSD-Drive to a faster (1TB) Nvme Drive and Win10 don't let me copy the One Store or Community folder. Can someone give me a safe step by step how do move the whole SIM without downloading over 100 Gigs? I'm on the latest Beta now and I don#t wanna lose any of my settings I made. Thanks in Advance! Especially the sound. I do this RNP approach into NZQN quite often in the Fenix and its hard to find the difference if that make sense .
