Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi those with those long hanging pauses that almost seems like the sim is going to crash but then it continues on totally smooth, have you figured out what could have been the cause? Getting it on my system and it seems to be on random times. Usually get it once using a flight. I had a pause that lasted close to 4 seconds. Thanks

Hi, here is my experience with FSTraffic so far. Any suggestions as to how to resolve these problems would be greatly appreciated. I purchased FSTraffic yesterday, and followed the Just Flight video instructions as to how to install the two files - which are visible in my community folder after install. I start MSFS 2020 - select an airliner, airport and parking spot. When I select 'Ready to Fly' MSFS 2020 crashes to desktop. (never ever happened before) I removed the FSTraffic folders from my community folder, opened MSFS 2020 and set the traffic options to those recommended by Just Flight in their video. Really puzzeled here why this occurs. Left view pc shows It correctly … The OneStore on the Left View client is 198 Gb and on the Front View server 193 Gb …. Comparing them and indeed several PdL airports are missing. I will copy them from client to server and hopefully I have it all back . Anyone knows what happened ?

I just installed MS 2020 (wow!!) but I messed up my throttle settings somehow. Is there something obvious that is wrong?

Hi all, I'm coming back to the Fenix after a long time away. With all the other aircraft I've flown in MSFS (including the PMDG 737), it's been possible to use autorudder to allow me to taxi using my joystick. I don't have rudder pedals, and trying to use keyboard commands (or even worse, trying to use the little rotary thingy on my Warthog throttle!) to steer anything on the ground...well, it's not graceful, let's put it that way. Has anyone tried the new update for the iniScene Los Angeles scenery and notice any improvement on performance? If so, how much of an improvement? I saw someone on YouTube recommend putting 16x Anisotropic Filtering in the Nvidia panel but turning it off in the sim. Is that correct? If so, what would the benefits be? Most settings i see say to run 16 x in the sim. Thanks!

I've just flown into Vagar EKVG and noticed, Superspud's amazing scenery was gone. Checked the Community folder if I had accidentially deleted it. The EKVG folder was still there, but renamed to airport-ekvg-vagar-superspud_qG1T6. If I open this folder, I find the one (with the json in it) that was in the community folder before as it's supposed to: airport-ekvg-vagar-superspud. Same for lightbringer-airport-edde-erfurt_vLkC8. It has got the correct folder in it without "_vLkC8". Is this some sort of protection mechanism of the sim to prevent CTDs to happen because of addons that the sim considers to be a threat to stability or something similar? …

Hello, I am using pro ATC SR and it seems to me that the AI communications are a lot less than what they should be. I use AIG traffic controller and yet most of the time the radio is silent. The weird thing is that the default ATC of msfs actually communicates a lot with the traffic aircraft (I can see it if I open the menu), but almost none of that is replicated through pro atc. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any settings I have to tweak?

I fly lots of European A320 routes and once I’ve arrived at my destination I need to be able to change my flight number before the return flight. Is this possible without exiting the current flight?

My broadband provider has offered me a switch to full fibre from 45 mbs to 150 mbs at no extra cost, which I have accepted. Can anyone tell me what typical speeds the MS servers stream at and will I notice any significant improvement in scenery loading times? Hopefully, future world and sim updates will download a lot faster assuming the speeds from the servers exceed mine (accepting that there are always likely to be slowdowns just after any update lands). What experiences have you all had following broadband upgrades?

Just curious for those using FStraffic, how is the stuttering on short final? I am using PSXT/AIG with Real Traffic and I love it. However, I get stutters on short final a lot of the time and that can really ruin a flight. Do people have this on FStraffic? Also, for those who have experienced stuttering on short final, what have you done to resolve it? Fly without traffic? I am curious because I have gotten smooth flights only to come up stuttering at about 500ft or below. Any help or advice would be awesome!

I wish they would have a pop up, if you "accidentally" hit the X to close the program like every other software program in the world has, to confirm you really want to exit.. Don't ask me how I know this is an issue....🤪

Hey guys, I've been struggling for hours to get this plane to work so now here I am hoping someone here can help. I load up the plane, get everything turned on, go to the EFB to load in my load data but I get no option for "import" in the Electronic Flight Folder. I've linked my simbiref profile ID to the load manager. I've downloaded a flight plan from simbrief and installed it in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\Maddog X Files\Routes. Instead, it only pulls up a flight plan for "AZA1585" on the EFB. No matter what weights I set in the load manager and the "Save & Sync", that also doesn't change weights in the EFB or plane itself. Recently I've noticed (regardless of traffic solution) that not all planes are using their nav/strobe lights while in flight, be it GA or the airliners. Many do, but some do not. What would cause some planes to have them appear, but not others?
