Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Let's say I purchased Just Flight's Pipers (or really any plane from anywhere) and wanted to specify them as options to be used as AI Traffic. Is this possible? I'm led to believe I can do this via the plane's aircraft.cfg file, but reading the SDK documentation notes on air traffic here: https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Content_Configuration/SimObjects/Aircraft_SimO/Additional_CFG_Information.htm#air_traffic_notes ...I'm just as confused. The past few days even before the AAU update I have been having regular instances of the server disconnection error message. It has only worsen the past week or so. Does anyone have the same issue and do you know of any fix? I wish Asobo would remove that incredibly invasive message that appears right in the center of the screen! When the game switches me to offline mode my sim crashes to desktop (CTD). I have had several flights ruined thanks to this error. I have tried signing out of Microsoft store as well as from within the sim itself.

Anyone else getting the bandwidth too low warning and not seeing weather since the latest update? I have gotten both and my bandwidth is fine through my provider. Any idea what the issue could be?

So I need to install it on a dedicated (D) drive (Microsoft Store version). I have to create a folder (MSFS) for it to install into on the D drive, but then the update goes to C/User/User........... Should I leave it be, or move the update somehow (?) to my D folder? Thanks for any insight in advance.

Hello simmers, Is the Garmin 1000Nxi supposed to support altitude restrictions when flying a SID, just like it does when descending on an arrival?

Hello all, I wanted to share my findings with you all like i did with Microsoft to see if there are others experiencing these issues and if anybody knows of a workaround. I am using a 4090 with frame generation and prior to this Aircraft & Avionics update i had the sim running incredibly smooth. I have a 60hz 4k monitor and all i needed to do was enable Vsync in the Nvidia Control Panel and turn off Vsync in the sim and this, for me was the best combination of settings for great performance. There was some noticeable latency with this but i understood this. I installed the prompted update yesterday and started the sim and loaded in as i normally would. …

I've searched a million posts, but, none seem to provide a good answer. I am sick-and-tired of this over-exaggerated Blue atmosphere that MS has built into this sim. I look out my window or when I've flown in real life and the earth (and atmosphere) is NOT this blue. This is killing my experience, big time! Can someone please recommend a good Reshader or a way to adjust these colors, before I break this $10,000 PC into ashes? (Please not Nvidia control Pannel) Can someone also recommend a good Moving Map (with charts, STARS, etc). It does not has to be anything too advanced

This is stock MSP with live wx after downloading the update. Nothings changed. Does one have to do something special to finally get rid of snow on runways?? It's been over a year now with this "feature". Edit: Cleaned the DX shader cache and that didn't work. PG is on but no rolling cache is set, hmm😔

I'm flying to Memphis in the PMDG DC-6B after updating it earlier today. I'm not seeing any improvement to the autopilot. It seems to be exactly like it was before. Anyone else tried the update? To me, it still doesn't work like it did in P3D and when first released to MSFS. Or, is it working and I'm misremembering how it worked before? Once Gyropilot is switched on and the clutch (Autopilot) engaged, I can no long influence the airspeed with the trim wheel. Switching on Altitude hold kind of works, but not like it did. The question could be can any other flight simulator compete with MSFS? My answer is NO for 3 reasons: 1) MSFS is backed by an organization dedicated to it and that would be Microsoft. Nothing to say here except funding and corporate dedication are important. 2) 3rd party support Obviously, many want to join the MSFS train so we as MSFS's users will reap the benefits of this expansive software and hardware support. Yesterday it worked fine. Today I can take off from an airport and have live weather. As I hit almost 100 miles out, the clouds and snow on the ground all completely drop off as in one giant line across the entire area. It looks like a front but when you look at where I was...it should have been clouds the entire way and landing should have been a lot of rain. Not a cloud in the sky. Happened on all 4 flights today. Restarted the sim but no luck. Wondering if the update did anything on my end? All the right settings are on

Hi , i use to like the option in P3D and Activesky to search for locations based on METAR's from real life weather. For instance precipitation:snow would list those airports. Seems like a good ideer to the inbuild worldmap? Is METAR possible to check from this route selection worldmap btw? Cant find it by default (selecting departure airport) Thanks Michael Moe
