  1. I did not see any blue taxiway lights at night in the video. Can anyone that has this confirm that they are or are not there please?
  2. I have had this exact same issue with this exact same site. I too found that changing my location via a VPN solved it for me. Dave
  3. I am on 10.3.0 now. I'll see if it continues to happen. David
  4. Mine does unfortunately. I will be flying and notice that the traffic has stopped. I switch over to PSXT and it has a red banner at the bottom telling me to install the new version. When it does this no traffic is being inserted. So I have to close the program, reinstall and start again. Doesn't take too long but is an immersion killer. Maybe it is just me that this is happening to. Thanks, David
  5. Nico, As always thanks for the amazing things you do with this program! Is there a setting to delay installing new version so that it does not stop working during a current flying session? Mine basically stops working until I install the new version which of course kills the realism. Thanks, Dave
  6. Does it have any static aircraft and if so can they be toggled off?
  7. Can these be used with the Turbine as is? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi Bert, Would you mind sending me your fixes as well? Thank you soo much! David dtubbs69 (at) yahoo.com
  9. Try changing your day/dawn/dusk textures. I solved crashes at that same point by doing this. Mine, however, always involved a crash report. Never know though. Dave
  10. I had this exact same thing happen to me. After lot and lots of experimenting I found that mine were being cause by REX OD textures. Specifically the dawn/day/dusk textures. I suspect it was the dusk texture but I am not completely sure about that. Had this happen like 6 months ago. Fixed it (isntalled AS2012 sky textures), forgot how I fixed it, installed REX sky textures again, then had the problem return. After I remembered how I fixed it the last time I reinstalled the AS2012 sky textures and my visualfx.dll crashes disappeared once again. I use REX textures for everything else. As a side note REX 4 Direct sky textures seem to cause the same problem for me. Or at least the ones I have tried do. Hope this helps someone someday., Dave
  11. *******,I've been playing around with FS for 17 years now. I have been following you and Nick religiously for quite a while as well. I considered myself better than most at tweaking. Because of this I honestly didn't think your tuning tool would help me. But I tried it anyway. I was humbled. Easily a 25% increase and no change in my smoothness (I was already perfectly smooth). I simply could not believe it and still don't know how or why. Thank you so much for all that you do. I am sure I speak for most of us when I say you, your talents and your dedication are truly unmatched and underappreciated. You are simply the best. Thank you so so much again and have a wonderful Christmas.David
  12. I got mine from CompUSA. I don't know about others... I am just telling you that I tried everything for a year and a half and my problems are completely gone. The hardware is completely the same. The ONLY thing I changed this time to make it work was converting to XP64.
  13. After over a year and a half of trying to get rid of the disappearing textures and black screens I have finally found the solution. NickN was right as usual. Switching from Vista 64 to XP 64 is the magic bullet. And I am here to tell you I tried everything. I mean everything. I can't count how many times I completely reinstalled FSX. I even completely reinstalled my OS a couple of times. From different sound cards to video cards to different drivers, settings, everything... I tried everything that was ever suggested in this and many other forums. After installing XP64 sp2 (from disk) and flying for days and days without even closing FSX I no longer have these issues. I have run through the menus, switched to and from full screen, Started and closed task manager... nothing breaks FSX any longer. I honestly do not think FSX is truly "compatible" with Vista. It definitely wasn't in my case. If you are having these issues save yourself a lot of time and heartache and convert to XP64. Hope this helps and thank you so much for everything you have helped us with NickN.
