Hi,I'm interested in buying the FS9 version of the MD-11. Normally I prefer to buy my addons in the store of the developer so that they don't have to share their well deserved money with all the publishers and dealers. As a side effect the download version is mostly cheaper than the boxed version. So it's a win-win situation for the developer and the customer...at least that's what I thought.Surprisingly the MD-11 box is $10 cheaper as the the download version. And the box has a few more advantages like no online activation, a printed tutorial and no need to back up the files. But I know that the margin is not very high for the developers. I was dumb and got the cheapest one because I wasn't sure how well my PC could handle it. It works good, and I would like bigger and more realistic plane as 736's dont even fly in europe. I'm pretty much limited to pmdg737's for performance considerations. So I won't buy any other addons anyways. Is the 738's flight model and overall feeling so different to 736 that it would be worth of 60e? Tell me what you think if you have 738 or others 🙂

Is it safe just to use what came with FSX version ?Also, if there are some other manuals a'la 2nd link - could you reply with some links ? I'd like to start with some time-efficient manuals first without having to read thru 100s of default manuals if it turns out that my FSX/SP1/SP2 can't handle this plane, seems that there are a lot of people with all kinds of performance problems.

I use GSX and for a while for reasons I don't understand the plane would be loaded correctly with the pax/cargo from SimBrief, but not happening now. Instead it's always the same number of PAX and cargo and I have no idea how to resolve that. I'm correctly setup in the tablet for SimBrief it seems. Thanks.

Hello, when I used P3D, I was able to create a custom STAR for an airport and have it display in the FMC. I want to do the same in MSFS and could use some help. I see the format has changed and is now a SQL database, and after looking around the file, I think I have a general idea of how it's set up and what I need to do to add my own procedures into the database; however, there are a few columns I am confused about what to put. For example, I plan to create my own waypoints that are not in the database using coordinates from Google Earth. I see some waypoints have a code of K1, K2, and so on, and I am not sure what code I would need to put for the waypoints. The ot…

I have been using licensed version pmdg 737 series and using nicely without any issues. After Sim Update 14, second engine does not start or spools up though APU is running and first engine starts without any issue. In order to ensure smooth experience, I uninstalled through clean uninstall using external software but to no avail. Evenafter that second engine doesn't start at all. With single engine running, PMDG behaves weirdly like rolling to left or right instead of going straight for take off. I am clueless after extensive search. Can anyone help me. [email protected]

Hi I posted this in another forum but sadly did not receive any response, I am using FSX SP1 and SP2, my graphic card is AMD Radeon HD6800 series with the most latest driver being in 2015 as it is an old Graphic card. However please see the photo, as you can see the text looks compacted, for example the ground speed, "GS" the font looks squashed along with the readout of the wind direction "090". Hello, Hoping someone can help. I have updated all my PMDG files and liveries yet when I go to the FMC PMDG SET UP and go to Aircraft equipment, the EFB just isn't listed in the 17 pages. I've tried and tried and read numerous articles which all send me back to the FMC which, as I stated, is a no go. Any help is appreciated, Scott

Captains,This might be a silly question, but how can I add this famous delta or triangle sign to a waypoint to force the MD11 to overfly a waypoint before starting the turn ?I was unable to locate this in the FMS manual.On certain STARS, the 11 is taking a shortcut and starting the turn a few NMs before the actual waypoint it is supposed to overfly, I wan to prevent that.Thanks and merry XMAS to all of youJoerg

I was recently plagued with the above crash (cause found by using Fortect) to Black Screen of Death with cooling fans running at max speed. The guidance and hints in most forums did not help. However the problem has been solved and I would like to share my experience. The problem started whilst running Prepar3Dv5.4.9 together with PMDG's B777 aircraft. So I started with that as baseline. Here are the steps I took with the results recorded for each step: 1. I ran the computer with no main apps running at all - so no P3D and no PMDG. The computer ran perfectly for 12 hours. 2. Hi folks, Have a really "noobie" question, that I will try to make it as less dumb as I can... 🙂 For the 737 family, I see that PMDG developed and sells 4 different models, -600, -700, -800, and -900. I know that of course there are differences between them in real life, the most obvious being size. So part 1: besides the size, what exactly are (just the main points of) those differences in real life? I would guess to start size, range, etc? Now part 2... I can now precisely predict a freeze and ultimate ctd. What do I do? Load a B737 PMDG in a random airport. Go to the FMC and make just 1 adjustment in the simulation chapter. This triggers the file `737_Options.ini` to be changed in over 130 lines. A fresh ini file consists of only these lines `[IRS.0] LastPosValid=0 [IRS.1] LastPosValid=0´ The file '737_Options.ini' can be found here: "C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work" Leave the flight and load another plane (to unload the previous one) into a new flight. Hello, so I have the 737mfor MSFS and am glad to finally have an EFB for the plane but unless I am missing something I don't see a page in the EFB that shows your weight and balance, and you can see your takeoff and landing weights on a graph to show you are within limits. Am I missing something or is this something that is planned to be implemented? I know the 747 for P3D has it, and I'm pretty sure the 737 had it, but don't see it in MSFS. Thanks

I am having real problems trying to re-activate my PMDG B777 200 Base package. I have gone through the tortuous PMDG website trying to find out how to re-download the B777 Base Package after a re-install of Prepar3Dv5.4. I have got to My Previous Orders, so have all the order information and licence keys. I then open my B777 Base Package order, and click on 'Download Product'. A new window opens with a window asking me to click on 'Send Verification Code', which I do. I then receive a code via e-mail. I enter the code in the box provided, and then .......... nothing. Nothing happens at all - no download, notthing. Anyone know the solution?

If this question been asked before I apologize. But what's is happening with PMDG and PD3v6 as far as compatibility?
