Can anyone recommend a good mod for a realistic captains seat view that allows you to be able to see the displays but also give a good depth perception, particularly on landing? I haven't found the sweet spot yet so I thought I'd see what you all think.

Is there a way to refuel the Fenix A320 without boarding passengers? If I click on the edit icon next to planned, a box appears but very quickly disappears. I'd like to be able to refuel before boarding begins as this is in most circumstances what happens on the ground. Thanks

Not happy about topic closure when the author (me) has not been given a right to reply! Regarding Microsoft's stand regarding (fake) weapons on war planes is forcing one's ideology on another, sets a dangerous precident. I thought that the so called free world was fighting other countries that was doing this sort of thing. Simulators by nature is an attempt at being 'as real as it gets'. Planes should represent the way they are or were. MSFS is a general flight simulator. We should be able to embrace all planes especially the magnificent WW2 birds as they really were. It's strange that all these planes are allowed in cockpit, gun sights and clickable gun switche…

Hi everyone. Just like the title says, cracks have started appearing in the world in my MSFS install. They look like mostly small elevation errors between "tiles." If I'm not careful, I can drop a wheel into a crack, it falls through the world and then crashes the plane. I've had that happen a couple of times on taxiways at KMSP, but I've seen them all over the US. This is a fairly new development - there have always been cracks, but I'd maybe see one random one somewhere and everything else was fine. Now they're showing up all over, including on runways. I have a few aftermarket sceneries installed, but they're localized - they're all addon airpor…

Hi there, anyone else have this rumbling sound on landing around threshold height? It is really distracting, I uninstalled FS realistic and reinstalled the Fenix. I'm not 100% sure, I think it was gone for a few landings, but now it's back. Any Ideas? -Roland

I know that Throttletek has their thrust lever, CAT3 has a tiller, and their are multiple sticks compatible with the Fenix. I was wondering, what other hardware is compatible with the Fenix, that doesn't require too much configuration? MCDU, FCU, Gear, etc. I am slowly building up my sim and didn't see that much out there. I saw Skalarki but I don't believe any of their stuff is compatible. Thanks!

If you are one of those whose FBW A320 is invisible after updating to the newest version, here is the fix: Go to the content manager and delete your FlyByWire A320 from there. That's it. Install the newest version with the the FlyByWire App.

Two questions re; setting up MSFS to work with a Honeycomb bravo quadrant. (1) Flaps: What are the MSFS settings needed to get the flaps toggle switch to move and hold on a setting? And; (2) Conflicts: Probably a stupid question, but do I need to clear out all conflicts amongst every controller device (i.e., with any/all other peripheral devices), including those that are assigned in the keyboard? Thanks folks, Brian

I’ve just purchased one of these. I’ll report back when I’ve tried it, but, judging by the reviews it looks like a brilliant bit of kit https://shakeprint.com

I posted my frustrations with my first few experiences of MSFS a few days ago and was jumped on by a lot of people on this forum for being naive and not giving the sim the time or effort it deserves. So, I took all your comments on board, I've spent time watching lots of videos, planning my flights and decided today to do a proper EGLL to LGAV flight in the Fenix A320 (with inibuilds EGLL, FlyTampa LGAV, GSX and FSLTL). A great departure from Heathrow, flight down across Europe but then I got this on arrival in Athens https://imgur.com/cp9fHM2 No airport. Exactly the same thing that happened on my arrival into Prague a week ago. This is clearly the sim objects prob…

My FS2020 drive (boot drive) needs more space for FS2020. Can I Clone C to larger F drive and remove FS2020 from C drive? Then run FS2020 from larger F drive. If so what steps do I need to do this. Other than change the FSCFG file on the F drive to point to F. Thanks to all who replay. Bill McCracken

Don't mind French Kodiak registration flying in USA - that is the only aircraft I can afford at the moment to lease. LOL But I must say working my way from bottom up gives completely different meaning to MSFS. While NF4 is not perfect it does seem more engaging than Air Hauler 2 ! Now I'm trying to make $$$$$ flying through thick rain/snow storm lashing California ! Freight dog in its best!

I've noticed that a lot of times when AI or other lights in MSFS lately have "tracers" with them. For example, what would appear to be contrails, they come in my sim as tracing lights... I'm not really sure how to explain it. Is this a DX12 thing? Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

Forgive give me if this topic has been done before. I did a 'Corsair' search but 0 result. For those into WW2 planes and do not know this, I just wanted to make you aware that buying the magnificent FG-1D Corsair from Microsoft Market place has no armament loadout and 3 liveries missing. It is being sold at full price though. I got caught on this one because having tbe P51, and Spits both with gun sights and clickable weapon switches as well as the Spits protruding gun barrels I did not realise the deception played on purchasers. Disgraceful! Alan

Hello If I start my flight in mi air rather than at an airport, i seem to start at a different height depending on my aircraft. For instance, in the PMDG 737, MSFS is putting me at 31,000ft. Is there a way to change this, as if you are planning on a landing, you have to be a long way from your destination to descend from 31,000ft? Also, can I set my direction of travel, as I always appear to be travelling north? Finally, in the 737, the autopilot is always on by default, is there a way to set this before jumping into the cockpit? Thanks

I had perfectly set up the Fenix A320 with the Thrustmaster TCA, however MSFS wiped all my sim setttings so I've had to reset them all again. I've set up the detents in the MCDU, however, when I bring the thrust levers to idle, it puts it into Idle reverse. I've reaclibrated it a number of times and I can see the position numbers moving when I calibrate, but after I've stored it, it's not right. It runs perfectly in the Windows game controller and I've assigned everything in the control options. I've created a profile for all the assignments, but once I'm in a flight, if I click on 'Basic Controls' I only see the 'Default' profile - it doesn't let me select Fenix A3…

Hi, For a few days I've had the problem that MSFS has been hanging for a very long time. Sometimes it hangs for 5-6 seconds and then it continues. Otherwise it runs relatively stable with 45 FPS (5800x3d & RTX 3080) The trailers always come very sporadically.. Usually after 6 minutes. Then again and again every 10-20 minutes. It hangs for a very long time, 5 or 7 seconds and then it continues. I've only had the problem for 2 days, I installed MSFS about 3 weeks ago and it's been working fine so far. I don't know where to start ? why these jerks are suddenly there

I recently bought MFS2020 and when I try to play it, the pilot´s camera can´t stop moving to the left. Also, I can´t move the camera with the mouse neither inside nor outside the plane. I read some possible solutions, like increasing deadline or change settings to legacy but it doesn´t work. I use joystick t16000m and also the throttle

I'm not sure how this occurred, but I purchased the Analogue panel for the C208, and I have an Audible alarm only in Cockpit view. External view is fine, but internally the alarm is loud and makes flying from cockpit view impossible. Any ideas on what I'm not setting right for this to occur? Regards Brian BJ from Oz

I've recently experienced very long load times on splash screens. When starting the sim, it does update check and then sits on the intro screen before the main menu for a really long time. Also, when ending a flight and trying to get back to the main menu, it takes a very long time to load and sometimes just hangs with the status bar at 100% and nothing else happening. I've installed a few add ons recently (Fenix A320, ini's EGLL, LGAV, FSCTL)...would this cause this?

Hi all, I know the Fenix went through a couple of updates in recent months so decided to take it for a run. There were some general flight performance issues on approach they were sorting out. I flew two full flights and was faced with unstable approaches under 1000 feet (nosing up and down all over the GS) and then both times shortly at after disconnecting AP at 400 feet the plane wildly sent me nose up and to the right for no reason. Basically a stall but could recover manually and land ugly, but this is just straight up wierdness. In more detail - approach seems stable, 500 ft disconnect AP, things seem ok, 400... 300 then bam it throttles up and sends …

I am an MSFS sightseer - take off, see something, and land. I found that most downloadable flight plans are for commercial flights, and casual VFR plans are lengthy and packed with a ton of waypoints. There are very few easy, short flight plans available for beginners, light aircraft, ultralights, etc. To help fill this gap, I have been sharing my sightseeing flights on flightsim.to (search 'Short VFR'). The most difficult, time consuming part of creating the plans is waypoints. The distance they disappear before reaching the waypoint location varies wildly. Sometimes miles in advance and sometimes they remain visible all the way to the location. Early disappearance…

Now that the initial purchases are mostly completed and all the rushed to market youtube flights are available, the need for the basic sim documentation and the "follow along" printed basic flight tutorial is sorely needed. Sure, I know, go watch the videos - those that may or may not be using the correct and available procedures. Most are not because in many cases the author does not have a clue how preflight and prepare the flight plan for the highly automated Hondajet. If they do, then I missed it because I can't understand the dialog or the author never once zooms in on the panel so we can see what he is clicking on. Ahh, the sign of the times. What I would l…
