Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have been playing mfs2020 for months. Last week I noticed that the real weather wasn't working. So I try to change it to real weather mode but I can't select it.

Okay, back into the hobby after my seemingly endless life distractions and this time around I'm quickly loading up an apps that need to be launched before the sim. Is there a nice tool that can manage these and take care of launching them and then the sim and then unload them when done? What about something like the FSLTL injector that seems to need to be run by clicking on it from within the Fly By Wire installer (there must be a direct way to do it, but I haven't seen it yet.

The RAF are using that version now G meter to be added (used by RAF for display co-ordination) The description includes a link so you can download an MSFS Replay recording of Sqn Ldr Mark "Disco" Discombe's display manouevre and emergency landing. Then you can play it from your choice of camera angle in MSFS

So I had a conflict with KSEA airport doing double buildings. I was advised to remove the Asorbo KSEA. That worked perfectly. I have these oter addons KLAX Feelthere KORD FSDT KDEN Flightbeam KATL Imagiee sim KLAX was a no brainer to delete as it came up as Asobo KLAX, but KORD and KDEN come up as PREMIUM UPGRADE. Do I delete the PREMIUM UPGRADE file. KORD is listed as DELUXE upgrade and KATL is listed as WORLD UPDATE. Something tells me not to delete these. Please advise.

...blows every other airplane addon out of the water, IMHO. + incredible attention to detail + all-around beautiful textures + handflies very nicely + very acceptable performance (30 fps+) on "balanced" with the sim running at "high" settings + nicely modeled cabin with nice lighting effects ++++++ the EFB is outstanding and intuitive to use, with flawless Navigraph integration The only minor negative is the lack of detailed documentation, maybe even a tutorial flight, like in the good days. At least I couldn't find much by way of documentation. All in all, three thumbs up from me.

Just was given an MCP-PRO and EFIS hardware. At the moment using the FSX.exe solution to have the other hardware connect to MSFS2020 Which one would be easier to learn or use. Are there config files setup already to use these hardwares? Only jet airliner using at the moment is the FBW A320 Any tips will helps

I fly primarily from GA airports with few or no scheduled flights. Occasionally I fly out of regional airports. I fly almost exclusively single engine GA prop or turbo prop planes. I never fly any kind of paying passenger plane. Will GSX add anything to my experience/immersion at places like KSEE KSMF KTIW KYKM?

Hi I have decided to give P2ATC a go using the free trail. All set up but cannot get past the activation? Does my registration or key need to be activated by them before i can get into the program. As i just get a Activation failed due to the key being incorrect. Thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd post this amazing tool for those like me that couldn't figure out why our C:\ was growing when FS was installed on a secondary drive. TreeSize Free | JAM Software (jam-software.com) Using this tool I found Dell had a backup feature that was running and creating logs/snapshots that kept data growing on my drive. I have a problem with key assignments. If I assign lets say "L" for "Toggle Landing Lights" it does not work correctly. I emphasize, there is no other action assigned to the "L" key in my set-up. If I set LL ON (using the mouse in the cockpit view), I can toggle LL with "L" Off and On as much as I want (it moves the switch and actually I can see LL on and off in the outside view). BUT, If I have set LL Off (using mouse in cockpit), the key "L" does move the cockpit switch to the LL ON position, but actually it does not turn on the LL in the outside view (it only moves the switch forward and backwards). Just started flying for KLM in A Pilot’s Life v2 and really enjoying Europe. As many of you may know, there’s an Orbx sale going on and looking to pick up an airport or five. I think I’ve heard many great things about Fly Tampa EKCH so that’s the one on the list already. Obviously it would be great if EHAM was out. What else? Hi. I'm facing very low fps on MSFS 2020 (latest build). Went through many posts on different forums on the web but can't really find a solution. My specs: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x EVGA RTX 3090 Ti 32 GB 3600Mhz 4K monitor GPU utilisation stays around 40%. I saw many videos on YouTube where with same specs people are pulling 60+ fps on their rigs and gpu utilisation is maxed out to 99%. Many forums posts suggest that it's due to CPU bottleneck. But technically I don't understand how a bottleneck can occur with such high specs. The only possibility would be sim limitations (how sim utilises different cpu cores for efficiency and opt…

Whether I have the Stand By Alternator switch On or Off, I am getting "STBY ALT" in red, flashing on my annunciator panel. Can't seem to clear it, to shut it off. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks Walt

I notice there is a topic that asks this question and it dawned on me that most people are not aware that you can find ILS frequencies in game on the map. You just need to zoom into the airport...if it has ILS you will see a little icon posted at the end of the runway. Just click on it and the ILS frequency will pop up in the NAV window. Hi guys, I just purchased the fenix a320, fantastic addon. However after 2,5 hours of flight I notice my engine oil was always at maximum level. Is it consumption during flight simulated ? What’s going on when I exit the sim and I load fenix again? Are fluid quantities reset to 100% ? The addon is fantastic but I am quite disappointed of that behaviour for an aircraft of this level.

For several weeks now, spawning in any aircraft puts me 50-odd cm to the left. Not a big deal, I move the PoV slightly to the center. Obviously I did something wrong somewhere but I don't remember what, for the life of me. Any idea, gentlemen ?

It's happened a few times now and I'm getting CTD just as the Baron starts to sniff the ILS, at least this is what I'm assuming. I get to within 15-20 miles of the runway and CTD ! (bloody annoying). I have the TDS GTN 750 included in my configuration. The NAV1 is already tuned. Peculiarly it does not happen on a RNAV approach. Anyone got any ideas ?

Hello Gang! I purchased the MK Studios LPPR scenery addon and noticed that the VGDS screens are there, but they only show time. Any of you that owns this addon can confirm whether VGDS is active in this scenery or not active? I've tried asking the MK Studios crew via their FB page but no answer. anyone using KEWR with a descend processor? I just received the 7950x3d, but have no time to install as I am overseas. I see Kewr has a nice discount, but I hear performance is pretty bad.

.. and want to visit Victoria BC and southern Vancouver Island, make sure you install SamScene Vancouver. Not only downtown Vancouver is much improved, but so is downtown Victoria and the Inner Harbour. The Canada World update destroyed downtown Victoria, but uninstalling PG Cities in WU11 and installing SamScene Vancouver transforms the experience.. 🙂

Hello, I noticed that when I click away from the sim, as in another application on another monitor for instance, FPS in the sim will drop. GPU usage might also change etc. Is there a way to prevent it from doing that? Thank you

I cannot not even load into "live data" MSFS. When starting MSFS and it comes to the final opening screen I get immediately the warning message "Your connection had an issue while streaming data, you have been switched to offline mode". I have no other connection issues (at 450 MBit/s) Anyone else with this problem (here in Central Europe)?
