Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have V1 and there seems no information if this is a free upgrade or paid upgrade. Interestingly Orbx have deleted V1 so maybe V2 is free!

Do users of GSX have this issue with pushback ? When pushback you see the aircraft lifts an inch (or whatever) After pushback you see a little drop is there something I can do do about this? Also when coming to a stop it's an all of a sudden stop compared with the default pushback from Adobo it's slowly coming to a stop.

Hi All Just had my first CTD flying back to rome to egll on the Fenix A320... Something about a graphic issue... anyway while i try and figure that out i miss the P3D days of FSUIPC autosave backing up a flight... is ther a way to do this which remembers positon/FMC status etc? Thanks Matt

I've just noticed that since the last "update," this appears to be no longer possible. I am just setting up a flight to go from Nantucket to Ronald Regan in DC. In the past I would've selected the ILS approach, but it won't let me select that anymore. Is it just me?

I've been trying to connect to Steam most of the day, and continually get a problem with Steam Cloud. It won't synchronize MSFS, telling me that there's a Steam cloud error. Anyone else having issues with Steam at the moment ? EDIT: Disregard, it sorted itself out after three or four hours.

I wanted to share the following video of the new PC I've built for my Dad, replacing his much older PC so he can play the latest Flight Sims... specifically Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Reading this forum and the advice whether to get the Steam or MS Store version of MSFS was very helpful, thank you!

Having recently disabled SMT in the BIOS I was wondering if I would see any difference in the performance in MSFS but so far I have noticed absolutely no difference. Has anyone got any views on this or done any testing who could shed any light on what their findings were and whether anyone has done any benchmarking? Since this CPU has 8 cores I was expecting to see a bit more smoothness or perhaps even a slight increase in FPS, though as it stands, I'm minded to turn it back on again unless anyone can persuade me otherwise. Why are the menu so slow sometime? Is there a fix?

Just had AIGM update everything and after that I remarked that on both my pc’s the aig-aitraffic-effects folder is gone… There is an Effects folder in the main aig-aitraffic-OCI-beta \ Effects folder… Is this correct ? If not : how can I get it back ? Thanks in advance …

I’m using the FBW a320 and I’m unable to move as I can see the toe brake in the sim is being pushed down despite no input. This means the aircraft won’t move no matter how much thrust I apply. I’ve checked the control settings for the pedals and everything seems to be normal. I have no idea what’s causing this to happen.

2 quick questions.... Currently I am using the unpaid version of FSUIPC. What would I gain if I went with the paid version as it relates to MSFS? I currently fly with the Fenix primarily. What is the latest version and how can I tell what version i am running?

Traffic is still borked after SU12. AI Traffic without injector (Live Real World Traffic = OFF): - i almost don't get traffic at all. - Airports are filled with static aircraft (according to the slider) but nothing moves. Over an half hour at EBBR i saw 2 sets of nav lights flying low in the distance. Thought these might be on finals but no.... they vanished. - Not a single take-off, not a single taxi. AI Traffic with injector (FSLTL): EBBR comes to life but.... - Aircraft still spinning on the taxiway. - Aircraft still running through one another. - Aircraft landing to far on the runway. - Aircraft on take-off roll sometimes stay way to long on…

You have to turn it on in MSFS settings.

Has anyone seen a white dialog box saying "syncing data" flash up quickly? This popped up, and then got to 1st screen, but crashes after a minute. Never makes it to the main splash screen with loading blue bar at bottom. windows updated. latest nvidia driver. community folder from last few days unlinked... Thanks!

With the voices of the smaller GA aircraft fliers managing to win the day and pressure Asobo/MS to cut down on the amount of turbulence experienced in the cockpit, I find that airliners turbulence effects and realism have been neutered. I was getting much better more realistic turbulence before in my A320/737 than now. It is frustrating to be taken a step back in realistic realism development. It is so unreal looking/feeling when in turbulent weather and the plane hardly - drifts, weathercocks, wiggles, bobs, dips, balloons, rocks, rolls and doesn't get windshear... anymore. Back to boring approaches that make it harder to maintain interest..... …

After ending a flight, is it necessary to go back to the main menu, and pick departure and arrival airports again, if I want to continue a flight, but only want to change the aircraft?

Hi All, I normally plan my flights using Simbrief on a networked PC and use the Simbrief downloader to export the flight plans & wind data for the PMDG to my flight sim PC. This morning I decided to take a flight in the PMDG for the first time since last weeks update and was not able to export the flight plan & wind data as normal. Anyone using Tobii with FaceTrack Noir? If so are you able to pause and set curves like Trackir? Not being able to pause to turn and push buttons is difficult. But i like not having to wear headphones or a cap.

When I start a new flight at a dock and the wind is blowing, my floatplane either gets blown away from the dock or onto the dock. Is there an 'anchor' like there is in Xplane which will prevent a floatplane from being blown away from its 'mooring'?
