What are you using other than the MSFS weather as far as weather information resources? I am finding wide inconstancies in in MSFS weather, EFB2, Navigraph Charts and this website (https://runway.airportdb.io/) when planning my approaches to airports. Thanks ahead of time. Blue Skies!

Hello, MSFS has always run very smoothly on my >10 years old PC on medium to high settings but this is no longer the case. I believe the last sim update has absolutely cut my fps in half and it is more of a slideshow now; has anyone experienced the same? I have downloaded the latest updates and nVidia drivers. After a week of "Low Bandwidth" messages and still not able to use the sim, I now receive this message: "Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. This may be due to graphics card overclocking, overheating or due to a driver fault." I had just started up the computer, so it hasn't had time to overheat and I have no idea how to overclock it. More BS messages from Microsoft. I'm at the point of giving up on this simulator. I've spent more time fixing things than I have flying. Roy

Hi all, Currently running a 9700k, 3070 with DDR4 ram. I've found a very good deal locally selling a well reviewed motherboard with the 5800x3d CPU. In MSFS with heavy payware, I am often pegged and CPU limited with stutters when I look around. Would this upgrade be a significant improvement in this sim?

Having a slight issue with ground textures in the sim. At first I thought I was seeing "things" and forced myself to ignore what was a slight irritation but then today I decided to tackled my issue and failed miserably. Basically, my ground textures now often look like some type of "digital camouflage" , particularly noticeable on the edges of forests, or different types of rock formations and such. I was planning to include a screenshot, but not much luck. So I decided to try Pilot2ATC, Im on the fence on wether I keep using it. One of the biggest reasons is I cant figure out how to setup the Buttckicker with my BT Headset. Maybe you guys can help. I was using a 3.5mm Y connecter with my speakers and buttkicker setup, but I cant use the speakers with the bluetooth headset so, no Buttkicker with ATC. Are you using a head set or external mic and speakers for ATC? Thanks!

Hello, I am having problems selecting the appropriate arrival runway I would like to land at using ILS or RNAV after I select the ILS box on my flight planner screen (I am using Xbox). When I select the arrival runway box, I just get a list of recent airports I have landed at and places the game recommends I travel to. Right now, I can only do VFR landings. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you!

I'm having several issues at the moment, with a 4090 + 12900k cpu + win 11, i didnt think they were there before but attempting to use the newly somewhat supported motion smoothing makes them obvious. If i go into VR and back to 2d, the frame rate will drop in 2d and then in VR as well. If i use anything but default aircraft i seem to have a good bit of stuttering (in Motion smoothing/vertical sync mode though). Reference area is eglc with orbx landmarks + default baron, scat clouds, yields 50-51fps in VR (without motion smoothing/prediction) - 37ppd and dlss qual, no openxr toolkit, dx12, motion smoothing on, vertical sync at 30; ** this same test initially …

For those who may suffer from this issue here's something to try...rename UserCfg.opt, relaunch the sim and let it create a new. If it starts okay you know you had a corrupted file. In my case I had quit the sim the previous night and it seemed an orderly shutdown. Next day I launch the sim and after the initial screen when it expands the window to full-frame black I got instant crash. Ends up it was a corrupted UserCfg.Opt - but how...of course that's one of the great mysteries of MSFS I found a single setting that had changed (once again, HOW?). I had the FPS graphs turned on through the developer options. It is now gone or has been changed with the latest release??? Any idea on how to enable this?

So I watched a video on youtube talking about ModManFX. The instructions say at the first launch. it will ask for the game root folder. Before I got that far, I was trying to install it, and when it just opened up without installing, I closed it again. Now it doesn't ask for the root folder again, and no matter how many times I have tried to clean any reference to it, it never asks me to point to it. Can someone tell me, is it possible to bring that screen up again, or can you tell me how to get that done so I can install to my Community Folder. Mark at SimHanger has a great vid on this awesome MSFS feature that I totally space out on. It will take you dirrectly to the descent, approach or final phase to a designated airport. Very useful if you are pactising or want to speed up a flight. sp

Hi All, Just getting into MSFS after many years with P3D. I've seen Axes and Ohs around for a while but never really bothered with it as I had FSUIPC setup for most of my button/axes control on my Warthog HOTAS and Throttle. Now that I'm starting fresh I thought I'd check out whats its about and what if offers that maybe FSUIPC doesn't from a controller/button assignment point of view. My biggest question is, with more complex aircraft (say the AS CRJ at the moment) can I assign internal LVARs (or multiple LVARs) like I used to be able to do with LINDA using Axes and Ohs? I was cruising at 11500 ft in the SWS Kodiak 100 and suddenly the engine just stopped. There were fuel in the tanks. I tried to restart the engine and NG rise above 14 but then after turning on the fuel conditioner NG never rises above around 20. This has happened several times and the last time I am sure the meters were in the green area. What could this be ?

So i havent flown this bird for a while, I updated it to the current version (1.2 b152) and gave it a try. The EFB seems to be broken now, its not hiding anymore when clicking the screw to the left behind the briefcase light. The bigger issue, however, is that weight & balance is always resetting the payload every time i am bringing it up on the EFB. I change fuel and PAX on board, exit, enter W&B again and notice my plane making a bump because it loads the figures from before again. Changing in load manager and then synchronizing doesnt habe any effect at all. That way i am stuck with 146 PAX on board (73 forward and aft). Anyone else noticed that? Is t…

Hello, I did my first flight under update 12 last night. Flight plan done under LNMP, exported to MSFS PLN, flight managed via stock ATC/AP, on stock Beech King Air. LNMP database up to date until MSFS update 11. First, the flight plan loads but departure is shown in MSFS flight planning screen as "runway" where the flight plan specifies departure from parking, cannot be changed in MSFS planning screen. So I load in as is, and to my surprise plane is at the parking anyway, not on the runway. So far so good, pushback, take off, enroute etc all OK until we reach beginning of STAR. Hello, I’m having an issue today that I haven’t seen before. Enabling any AI traffic (AIG or FSLTL) causes my FPS to nosedive. I’m currently enroute in the MD-88, not really near any large cities, and with no AI traffic I have a about 35 fps (without frame generation) and with AI traffic I have 5-7fps. I’ve completed other flights in SU12 without this issue. Any ideas? Obviously AI traffic takes a bit of resources but I’ve never seen anything this drastic.

Since the other thread got locked thought I'd start another thread highlighting what's changed (can't find any other threads about the subject). I hold out hope this $30+ USD product get's up to MSFS standards outpacing visually what we get with default aircraft (Avionics, etc. goes without saying). Let's see...🧐 Pilot's you should start an MSFS thread in your forum here on Avsim exclusively for this release so nothing in confused with the P3D release. I couldn't make heads or tails what's going on over there. Nothing was listed that I could find concerning this update.

watched every UT video, run the check list to a T, but on my new Bonanza cannot get the STBY ALT light to stop blinking unless I hold the right mouse down???? any ideas would be helpful as the plane is grea, fun as you all know by now.

Hi together, I've been using MSFS here and there for a while, while my main simulator remains P3d v4. One thing that prevents me from using MSFS more, is the camera system and the absence of ChasePlane. Why? Because I can neither save, nor load custom camera views in the aircraft. Normally that should work using Ctrl + Alt + <number> to save a custom view, and using Alt + <number> should load a custom view. However, that has never ever worked on my system, even if the keyboard assignments reflect exactly that. What is working, is Ctrl + <number> to load a view inside the cockpit, and saving views doesn't work at all. Shouldn't that be the case …

Greetings, Never had this happen before. I just tried starting MSFS by clicking my desktop icon and got a message that stated App can't open.
