Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I’ve been away for a bit and it seems the Latitude and CJ4 are nicely enhanced, but when I create a flight plan in MSFS with the approach etc then go to either aircraft I’m struggling to see the “magenta line” of the flight plan? How do I get that to load? I see tutorials for loading simbrief plans etc but liked how easy it was to load the MSFS plans into these aircraft previously. Thanks, Steve

Hi, I have the BAE146 for both MSFS2020 and X-plane.However when using the version for MSFS2020, I have experienced a issuie with flight planning Sids and Stars. I planned a flight using simbrief from EGSH TO EIDW simbrief planned the flight as shown below, i just added a couple more wpts.EGSH/09 N0412F280 DCT RIKPU DCT SORER DCT BAGPA DCT DOLAS DCT OTBED Y70 GOLES UL975 DESIG UL70 GUNTU Z196 LELDO M145 BAGSO BAGS3L EIDW/28R.In MSFS 2020 BAE146 airac cycle states Airac 23Mar23 to 19Apr23 same as simbrief. I upload the flp via the tablet and all shows correct. Both simbrief and the BAE146 FMS cycles are the same period. However I am missing the Star for BAGS3L on fms…

Wondering if others have had better luck than I have with 3 monitors in MSFS. I have 3 55" monitors, all exactly the same model. I currently use Nvidia Surround to stretch the game across the screens. Acceptable, but definitely there is a large amount of distortion on the left and right monitors. But I tolerated it. The time came to replace my graphics card. I originally switched to a high end AMD card, but AMD Eyefinity (the rough equivalent to Nvidia Surround) is being phased out (source: AMD customer support). It would not work on my monitors in any way, so I gave up and returned to Nvidia Surround on a different graphics card. However, has anyone had …

I'm totally new with Airbus and decided to take the plunge starting w/ FBW just this morning. It's impressive to say the least coming from PMDG 738 which seems simple by comparison--I mean to build. While simming along w/ a tutorial was able to get the EFB and MCDU more or less partially understood. Got the the runway and took off but for some reason despite engaging AP and AT it didn't track my plan that was input correctly and showed a viable route from KDEN to KLAS. I looked all over for familiar LNAV/VNAV controls but didn't see them so aborted this first practice run and am about to start a second try to reinforce what I learned. Have never had any problems starting MSFS. However when I was leaving I push some button that wanted me to sign up to Xbox. I do not want Xbox. It kept asking me to sign up. I could not leave MSFS so I did task manger to delete MSFS. Now when I try to start up MSFS again I stll get the XBox "sign up". How can I go back to my normal start up without the Xbox sign up? Any help appreciated.

I bought the Inibuilds KJFK airport scenery, and just want to park my aircraft and fly the drone around, and watch the AI traffic take-off and land. If I taxi my plane off the runway, ATC continues to report me as Traffic blocking the runway. Even if I use GSX app to warp me to a Gate, the aircraft continue to line up behind my old location on the runway. How do I get ATC to clear the runway, so I can watch the AI traffic take off and land?

I tried “upgrading” to Win11 and everything went great until I tried to start MSFS and got the Gaming Services not running issue. I searched and tried every fix anyone else offered up but no luck. I’ve now reverted back to Win10 and have everything back in working order but does anyone have a solution for this? My MSFS is from the Microsoft Store and it uses the Xbox app. I’d like to go to Win11 since my Flightsim pc is on Win10 and my laptop is on Win11 and I use a lot of other apps on both.

I'm already looking into a next purchase, but an important part of that includes the flight model. Some of the default aircraft seem decent. I flew the TBM a couple times now and found that it trims good on final and lands smooth. Takeoff in some of the default planes I've tried isn't so easy...too twitchy. The Longitude and TBM are pretty over-responsive on take off. Then the Cessna Caravan which floats over the runway way too much, making a normal flare impossible. I have the Fenix and PMDG, and both are very good in their flight characteristics. The Fenix seems to tolerate the wind the best, especially on the ground, but the PMDG is decent in heavier winds too.…

Afternoon everyone! I've posted on the official forums, but wanted to see if anyone else is seeing the same regressions with SU12 that I have. One bug that popped up pre-SU12 (Closer to SU9 if I recall) was the long haul performance degradation bug where your performance would steadily decrease throughout your flight and was exacerbated once you reached that golden 6 hour mark. Finally last night I completed my first long haul flight since SU12 and I assumed it would be fine. For those of you that use the Orbx Central app, have any of you had problems logging into it and accessing your purchases? I have not been able to get into Orbx Central for the past two hours, and after checking Orbx website, I do not see any mention of any technical issues posted there. So, just wanting to see if it is only on my end or anyone else experiencing it too. Issues like this are some of the disadvantages of these vendor apps. When they don't work, us customers cannot access our purchases. I wanted to reinstall an aircraft into MSFS (the //42 KitFox/FreedomFox), but I cannot while this problem is ongoing. 😞

I check back on this every 6 months or so and there doesnt seem to be any improvement each time. Has there been a simple way to map the honeycomb products to fully function with MSFS, including the PMDG 737? Preferably a method that does not require a computer science degree?

Hello, tonight I was flying this aircraft and kept having an issue where I would get a BATTERY CHARGE warning while taxiing. Eventually this would go away but then I would get BATT TIE OPEN. I dug into the manual and from what I can understand, the issue is that I'm applying too much power to the battery during taxi. The manual says "care should be taken while taxiing to avoid overcharging the battery." but doesn't explain how to take care in this area (at least that I can find). Hi guys. I understand there are different levels of quality in the scenery from area to area and city to city, but I can’t help but think I have other issues going on. I’m running MSFS 2020 on the XBox Series X and some areas are stunning but others are horrible. In some cases buildings will be split down the middle stunning one half and barely recognizable the other half. Also there are black splits in the ground mesh which I have circled in one photo below. Is there something going on here beyond the native quality of the scenery? Eg. A problem with the install? Thanks.

Hello all, I have really been enjoying KDAL but I do have an issue. Since installing KDAL, I now have a missing scenery tile just north of the airport. It’s a large square with no buildings. Cars still moving around on this blurry texture . I’m trying to figure out if it’s unique to my setup. Anyone else experiencing the same? thanks

Does anyone know if this program works with GA aircraft, was going to try it for ATC but according to their webpage it only works with like 4 airliner aircraft. I primarily fly GA and if it doesn't support them guess I don't need it. Thanks for any help guys!

Excuse my punctuation's etc. Anyone know what exactly is injected in Microsoft Flight Simulator's weather from metars? I don't even hear thunder anymore from TS. It would be some hot stuff if they could inject things like hail simulation, smoke, volcanic ash and whatever else is in the metar legend. I can't figure out how to have trackir5.exe start _before_ msfs ? I have trackir5.exe in the options->additional options section and it auto starts when I click the launch simulator arrow but it starts after the sim and I see no option to have it start before ? Thanks
