Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just upgraded my OS to W11 (I know I'm late 🙃) and found by accident something called, 'Game Mode'. At first I only saw a slight improvement when I turned it on because I was in the sim at the time, had Edge opened, and a few tabs open on top of that. Then I stumbled across the reality that when using 'Game Mode' I couldn't start FS with IE or other apps running (found this out after closing FS). I guess it made since but seeing we've all been around and know full well some of the OS features brought out are not fully thought out/realized and leave allot to be desired. When I start MSFS, I cannot get the world to move, and I can't zoom in on it in the start menu. I used to be able to use this feature to rotate the world and zoom in on a particular country and select an airport to startup at. Does not work anymore. Any suggesstions? Thanks

Recently after posting about Wifi v ethernet connection I decided to route new ethernet cable to my PC which was a small hassle. Bandwidth went from about 300mbps to 500mbps, but now I'm getting the bloody messages up to 2 or 3x per 1-2 hour flight. While on Wifi, it was once every many flights. So checking in here to see if there has been an increase in these alerts for you or not. I checked connections at the router and at the PC and they seem fine, so I'm really puzzled. I have used FSHud for a while now and now with the latest build I get message that all coms are off? Com1 --- Off Com2 --- Off? My comms are not off? Any ideas?

Hi All, I realise that this has been raised before and is something that the developers are aware of, I seem to have fallen into the unfortunate potentially small group of people who are affected by the no sound in the cockpit or actually in the walkaround. I have reinstalled the aircraft, and checked that the service is running in my tray. I also have changed the soundcard to the correct setting in the A2A service tab and restarted the flight. Still not got any sound. I am using Windows 10 and did run the installer as admin. I do get a few windows warnings about blocking the software, this may be the cause of the problem ,although I have gone in and allo…

Hello ! I purchased the P-38 Lightning from the MSFS2020 Steam Marketplace and would like to not have to use the brakes to taxi the aircraft (turn left or right). I already sent an email to Flyingiron requesting this change, however, until today they haven't answered me... Does anyone know how I can "free" the front wheel steering of the P-38? So it appears the A2A Comanche is a massive hit with how it performs both on the ground and in the air, perhaps showcasing a real deficiency in the MSFS core flight engine. I know Asobo hired a well respected military flight sim developer to work on MSFS so wondering if we will see similar kinds of fidelity built into the core sim for all aircraft to leverage? I don't think it would look to good if a new version of the sim can't replicate some of the feel of this add on.

I would like to have GA AI traffic at EFHF which is currently not in the sim by default and thus not recognised by FSLTL etc. What should I do? I saw mention of AIFP somewhere, but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere.

Out of nowhere today I suffered a mid-dlight CTD, followed by failures to start MSFS, usually about 80% into the start process when it reaches start of my TDS GTN addin. I tried numerous workarounds over three hours without success. I am now 60% into a complete MSFS reinstall, my first reinstall in about two years. In the meantime I have continued to research, and came up with this. Odd, I recently updated to the latest nVidia game ready driver, 536.40, after MSFS kept exhorting me that my 531.29 was no longer adequate for MSFS. I am running an RTX 3080. I have the A2A Commanche in P3D5.4. I wonder is it worth the price to also get it in MSFS ? You who have both versions in what way is your experience different in MSFS compared to P3D5 with this plane ? Another question will it be compatible with MSFS 2024 ?

Hello, I would like to have my sim complete and up to date even incl. planes I currently don't fly. May I ask, please: I have AAU1 & AAU2 installed. I understood the first one includes the updated Garmins by Working Title, When I check the planes, I can recognize the updated versions. But the Marketplace still keeps offering me the separate versions of Working Title: Garmin GNS 430/530, Garmin G1000 NXI. Shall I download those to have the latest equipment? What would it add? And wouldn't it interfere with the AAU1? I have the DeLuxe version of MSFS.Thank you.

The last msfs update changed all my settings. I corrected everything but there is still a small problem. No matter if I fly the Fenix or the PMDG 73x there is a problem in the approach. When I'm on the ILS Path and disable the AP, the machine flies like a paper airplane. Yesterday with 10 knots of wind approaching EDDM on the 26L, the machine behaved like a paper airplane. When using the Cathering option from the GSX Pro menu, the two right doors are opening automatically to all airports I have tried except for KLAS .At this airport, cathering trucks are static and waiting for me to open the doors in the PMDG menu. On the other airports I tried like KBOS and KIAD, doors will open and close automatically when trucks arrive and depart. My airplane: PMDG 737-900ER I deleted the KLAS profile that was in the AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS KBOS is the third party scenary from FLYTAMPA I am really wondering what I am doing wrong! Help will be appreciated

It seems 1.6 is solidifying as something that actually exists. Steve has released several showcase about what can be expected, I pasted the playlist below. I know a lot of the community is burned by Steve with 1.6, and these videos don’t outline a sure thing but it is a bit exciting to see that it may actually be a thing.
