Hi: I'm trying to understand the GPS in this situation. Any insight would be helpful. Flight was CYLW-YNY-CYPC w/ RNAV B into CYPC. I loaded the flight plan in the GPS and then selected the approach. When it loaded though, the GPS is trying to have me fly YNY-CYPC-back to KODAP to start the approach. I'm trying to tell the GPS that I don't want to do that by deleting CYPC. I want to go YNY-KODAP for the rest of the approach. BUT, when I delete CYPC from YNY-CYPC, it deletes the entire flight plan. I guess my questions is, how do I tell the GPS to go from my route to a fix on the approach without first flying to the airport. Thanks!

  4. My local airport is doing a major expansion project that includes a new longer runway and terminal building. The old runway was 3586 feet, and it didn't have any IAPs. The new runway is 5201 feet, and it has two published IAPs. Will this new runway and terminal building be updated in the sim by ASOBO at some point? Or is that just left up to someone out there to hopefully do a mod for it?

  5. Finally we have an update, I guess when it gets the release it looks like it has been worth the looooong wait. So excited for this update, even more excited now for the next update 1.7. Video is quite long but the demo was worth every minute. 😍

  7. Haven't used the Cirrus much since I had FS but took it out the other day taking a break from Alaska Bush flying using the float Kodiak and charter flying from Apsen to the Canyonlands area (down to Bryce/Monument Valley) using Caranado's PC12. As always for default the Cirrus is another winner. That being said I see no trim setting gauge to tell what my trim is set at. Any ideas? Thx in advance.

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between Rex Weather Force and the default when it comes to trying to depict live weather into the sim? I've hear mixed reviews on both but don't really understand what differs with live weather. For example, people say on these boards that Active Sky can't do a 3rd party weather solution because of the SDK (not technical so I don't know what that is), but how is Rex able to make one? Thanks

Good Morning All. Yesterday I purchased the A2A Comanche and have the following Issue. Background info - Some 2 years ago I had Steam MSFS installed but eventually decided to go with The Store version. I have required Steam VR to run with my VR Headset so this has been added to the system Drive C On starting the A2A installer, it quits with the error being that Steam MSFS is not present on Drive F. There is no Drive F in the system any more - This [F: Drive] was the original destination for Steam MSFS but was uninstalled before a new copy of Windows 11 Pro was setup then MSFS Store added to Drive D. The usercfg.opt file correctly identifies the location of MSFS on th…

Hi, I have the Aerosoft East Frisian Islands installed but performance is terrible. It used to be good, but at the moment, while having reasonable framerate of about 30 fps in 2D, it is stuttering/pausing heavily. In cockpit view is still good (also in VR, can move head and the instrument view is fluent, but outside it pauses every some 1/3 second or so. Other scenery works as expected. Any clues? EDIT: WHen uninstalled the airports perform normal, but more boring of course. Thanks in advance, René

Well, interesting experience in my flight form LEBB to EIDW (Dublin)... using the Fenix A320.... The route and runways were supplied by Pilots Life 2... flying Aer Lingus which just employed me, so first flight... Usually im not to fussed about reviewing the Go Around procedure as up to this point of flying, Ive never used it or had too... but... After configuring for landing in filthy live weather...almost zero visibility in Dublin...im on the glide slope to 28R... only to find at 300 feet there IS NO 28R in the default scenery! Just what looked like earthworks and trees! So for the first time (and in order not to crash and waste 1.5 hours of my track…

Hello everyone, My system: 4090, 13900k, 32gv ddr5 ram. Using frame generation. I have posted this finding on the GSX forum, But have not really managed to get an overall conclusion to it yet so i wanted to share here to see if anybody else can share some input. If i have GSX linked and active in the community folder i get a brief pause / stutter as soon as i touchdown. I have tried this test with many different flights with different aircraft and it will only happen if GSX is installed. One of the replies i had on the forum is it can't be GSX because unless you pre-select a gate then nothing loads. I can fully understand this and that is why i am…

  17. Has anyone else noticed the visual downgrade in LOD distance for textures in the latest beta release? As soon as you get not very high, the ground textures become much reduced in quality and very blurry. This makes the ground textures look much worse than before. You can see in this video just raising the drone camera a tiny bit off the ground makes the textures go blurry (look at the ground markings). This is clearly only a few hundred feet off the ground so it is much worse than this at flying altitudes. This is PC btw, ULTRA preset.

Looks like we now have Northern Lights in 2020 thanks to a company called South Oak Co’s. The reviews look good on SimMarket. I may have to give this a try. Has anyone else tried it yet?

  19. Started by Los,

So, as MSFS didn’t come with a replay mode put of the box I got to used to this fact and carried on. I was flying mostly GA at first so liveries were not an issue. Since, FBW and the PMDG releases I have been flying more and more airliners. But, I have yet to download a livery. Without a replay mode, it doesn’t matter to me. I simply use the default liveries and update the airline name and flight number under Customization for each flight so that ATC calls me what I am pretending to be… Which brings me to another point, aware you can’t put the genie back into the bottle, but what if aircraft in a sim were only concerned with a virtual cockpit…

  20. I know in MSFS 2020 that Asobo built aircraft do not allow the trainee/guest to be added to the Harvard or the Mustang (There are probably others). The Harvard was a training aircraft so unusual not to see a body in the rear seat. Tom Cruise's Mustang has a back seat for guests.... OK, but can someone tell me how to set up a camera view so that it looks like you may be in the rear seat and looking over/ around the guy in the front seat??

I was approaching BMWORLD's KSEA earlier today. I flew past on the downwind leg in the 787 (AAU2 version) and frames were absolutely fine. However on approach at about 1000 ft, the frames dropped through the floor. Stutters everywhere and it was pretty much unflyable. Once I got on the ground frames were fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Ben
