Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

All the mountain airports that have been reporting low ceilings and minimums for the approaches appear clear and cloudy in MSFS lately? Is anyone else noticing this also? The METARs are not at all matching the MSFS airport weather? Thought this had been fixed?

I'm looking for a program that easily connects my AHDRS data from MSFS to Foreflight, similar to the native functionalities available with P3D and XP11. Please comment on what you're using to connect to Foreflight and its advantages and disadvantages. Currently, two programs offer this functionality. The first is "FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON MSFS." If anyone is using this application, please let me know if it must be executed every time you start MSFS or its integrated? Does it impact framerates? I bought UK2000 Glasgow today. Most of the airport buildings etc are displaying fine but the whole main terminal building is.... missing! I definitely have no other Glasgow scenery installed and I definitely have the UK2000 library installed.... although I notice that Gary has a download of the library on his website. (Mine is installed via Marketplace). I was nervous about overwriting my version with that from his website (in case it messes up my other UK2000 airports), but maybe I should give that a go. I've sent him an email via his site but thought I'd ask here too in case anyone else has seen this.

Having a bit of an odd one, first time bringing out the ATR in a few months and this is a headscratcher. So far I've replicated this with 4 flights, so it wasn't a one-off. Program the box, weights initialized, cruise altitude, etc., the aircraft doesn't seem to compute a descent path but I think the dashed lines on altitudes are normal unless you have a restriction until TOD. When I reach TOD, I see the V/DEV indicator on the PFD start coming down, and engage VNAV right before intercept (don't use it on the climb, just 170 IAS hold per a RW operator's guidance). I'm looking at buying APL v2, but just wanted some feedback on if it'll do what I want. Basically, I like the idea of it being a more pilot (rather than company) based addon, but I only want to fly the Fenix A320, and only on shorter routes - nothing much more than an hour or hour and a half flight time. I tend to get bored in the cruise phase if its any longer! Would A Pilots Life allow me to pick an airline that would suit those parameters?

Hi all I am currently doing my ATPLs at Bristol Ground School and am on the subject of autoland, something I have never tried in the sim. I always take over at about 1,000 Rad Alt. The study has piqued my interest however, and although I could go on Youtube or Google, I'd rather discuss here with afficionados of the craft. Hi guys, Something strange is now happening with my hardware...basically it is not communicating with the sim. I have no idea what has caused this. In all the hardware UI EG Spad.next they are all recognised and move through the axis but do nothing in the Sim....open up FSUIPC it shows as no events available...I can assign but again nothing in sim. It is only my physical joystick axis (or buttons etc) as my 750/650 hardware and G5 are all fine and communicate as they should...It's just the pushes/pulls and presses that are not being recognised. Any ideas as MSFS 2020 is a no go for me at present..

Does anyone else here have Simtek Publishing LGPA Paros and LGNX Naxos installed in MSFS? I purchased this several weeks ago, and I immediately noticed that one half of the runway is bent! I can clearly see the bend at the mid point of the runway. The lighting is fine, so the offset of the runway markings at the 16 end when compared to this is very obvious. I emailed Simtek Publishing about this on February 10 (and again on February 24), but so far I have not received a response. Are they still in business? I have sent another email today, as this issue really needs to be corrected.

The worst update I have ever seen. I just did three test, at Luton airport. FSHUD: - Many fewer planes than those injected by FSLTL, and on routes not even similar to those shown on flightradar24. - The planes, as can be seen, land on the opposite runway. It is surprising, because you can see that on littlenavmap the wind is blowing in favor of runway 07. Also on flightradar. I have a minor visual impairment caused by diabetes. I bought the JF F28 and as wonderful as I can clearly see it is, it just doesn't work for my needs; the cockpit geometry is very realistic but in terms of my use, the gauges on the MIP are almost unreadable, whereas my nose is almost touching the glareshield 😄 Although I got it on sale, I was a bit frustrated at spending £40 on the F28, when I knew that after one loading of the plane (I didn't even take off), I'd never be using it again. 😌 So I emailed JF support and simply explained the above to them. Do I have any chance of getting a refund from Steam from an MS Marketplace purchase? I have just purchased LIEO Olbia Costa Smeralda thinking that it was version 2 of this airport, but unfortunately it is version 1. A stupid mistake on my part, but now I am £10.49 out of pocket with the wrong version of the airport. I see that I can get version 2 via ORBx Central, but I need that ten quid back first!! I have already submitted the refund request.

LSAs.... there are so many of them available for MSFS.... and none have reached a quality level above 'average (just)', with the exception of FS Reborn's Sting S4. A new Eurofox has been released to the Marketplace today. The Eurofox is one of my favourite LSAs and I have around 30 hours in the real plane. This preview video is very poor - no demo of the sounds, very little sight of the interior, etc. The nice news about this LSA is that it doesn't use the default Garmin G3X! I've just bought it but not flown it yet. I'll come back and give my thoughts when I've tested it (as it's 00:30 here and I'm whacked!). 🥱

Hi guys ,i recently experienced some issues with my MFS2020 , most of cases with Kuro 787 and Horizonsim 787 , after 2h and 17 mins my sim feezes , the sound continue but all sim is freezed there is no way to restore the sim so for the moment , i thought it was the last graphic card update the problem but after reinstall the old version of the drivers works good one flight but today i tried to make another flight and just freeze again after 2h and 17 min does anyone have the same issue or know about this? thanks guys my pc components: AMD ryzen 7 5800x Gigabyte Geforce 3060 (12 vram) 16 ram 2666 mhz Samsung 870 evo 1TB

I really thought my pc was going to provide a stutter free FS experience, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. For the record, I have 1 Gbps internet (fiber optic) that is solid. I have tried the auto fps tool, gone through a ton of tips, but i am still getting stutters when i pan, micro stutters every 10-15 seconds, and occasional freezes. I have tried turning off virus protection, AMD’s hyperthreading (smt) and countless other tips. I have a gsync monitor. Any ideas? Thanks.

I purchased a new computer and sold my old one. I removed MSFS 2020 before I sold the machine. Now when I install MSFS on my new computer it also installs it on my old machine. How do I tell the owner of the old machine to remove it? I imagine it has to do with the registry on the old machine? Thanks in advance.

Since some time, I am experiencing severe stutters, freezing the sim for about 5 seconds or more, all times at the same places when approaching some airports. I tried several combinations of graphics settings, with no results. Besides that, I have no other problems related.

I see a lot of people simply not flying after the recent update. I don't blame them. Imagine if you could defer an update or roll-back? I wonder if there's a way to roll back to a previous version or set yourself up for this in the future? I suppose we could plan for it, by cloning relevant folders before every new release (or creating a system restore point?), and then you could roll back after a bad update by restoring those backup folders and presumably... disconnecting from the internet during the startup of the sim would prevent it from updating? Let's face it, we're going to have to prepare for this. The releases are getting worse nearly every time…

I have a minor issue with loading MSFS that has only appeared this morning, and I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. I clicked on the MSFS icon to start the loading process this morning, and it seemed to stall on the "Checking for Updates" screen. In the end I had to sign out, sign back in, and start the loading process again. This forced the software to load the "MSFS did not start properly" screen. I selected "Start in Normal mode", and everything worked fine after that. I assumed that this was an isolated glitch, but it has now happened three times in succession when loading MSFS from the desktop. The loading process has worked fine …
