Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

After having continuous CTDs I've been unable to run MSFS for about a week. After running all checks and fixes nothing works so I want to run an uninstall/reinstall operation. I've researched all of the pointers on this from MS and this forum (I have the Store version). The best way seems to be to make a copy of the Official folder (or simply the OneStore folder), then simply copy the data back in when running the reinstall. However, this will not work. So I just switched to beta version for sim update 15 this morning and the first time I loaded the sim a noticed that the reverse thrust didn't work on any plane. And also not showing in my game controller app. I calibrated my TCA quadrant several times(and reinstalled the drivers)and it eventually worked. But while it works fine with every aircraft, in the a320 V2 it just doesn't work. It calibrated the throttle in the EFB but the reverse just doesn't activate. Anyone facing the same problem or know a fix to this?

I have an issue which is affecting all my piston driver aircraft, and I'm wondering if others are experiencing the same or can offer a solution. Once they get above a certain altitude, usually about 10,000 feet, the power drops off. I can see the manifold pressure is way down, even though I have the throttle levers maxed. I have no (to my knowledge) items set in the options which would cause this. It's really hard to, for example, cross the mountains when then plane can't go very high.

Today I reinstalled the ATR after about a 6 month period. I flew the plane with a Simbrief flight plan, and a load which was just under 75% of the MTOW. On climb out, after engaging CLB mode on the power knob, I was seeing only 1000 FPM at 160 knots (IAS mode) - all the way to 17,000'. 😶 I checked and was definitely in 'Notch' on the power levers. In cruise I got only 195 KIAS at 17,000' ..... with a TAS of around 242. Surely this plane is not this gutless IRL? Perhaps it does have a very slow cruise speed, but the climb cannot be right at 1,000 FPM, down on early climb out? Anyone else notice this, or is there something up with my set up …

It appears that selecting the new Ornithopter changes the default joystick and keyboard control 'profiles'. I selected the ornithopter just to 'have a look' and later found that when I changed back to the DHC2 some of my joystick buttons did not work and some keyboard commands (for control surfaces) did not work. Maybe it is normal for this to happen but if so why aren't there default keyboard/joystick profiles loaded when the DHC2 is selected?

So I was reading some flight simulator forum discussions, and someone commented that MSFS had some of the best non-aircraft add-ons out there for a flight simulator. At first, I hadn't even heard of the term "non-aircraft add-on" used before so it was a new term to me. Hi I have a second monitor, which I use for the Navigraph charts app, vpilot, and chrome. It has a touchscreen, which I used to be able to use to control Navigraph Charts, but now it controls the view in MSFS on the main monitor instead. In the Controls section of MSFS, there's now a "Touch Pointer" device, but no actions appear to be assigned to it, and I can't disable it. Does anyone know how to resolve this, please?

I immediately noticed how low the flight attendants voices were that came with the Fenix, I suspected that the audio files were not recorded with the proper volume. Today I found a site that had several voice files for different airlines. I can’t find support page from manufacturer so I’m here asking now. I have my bravo TQ mapped in FSUIPC. I’ve tried axis conditioner 1 set and axis mixture 1 set. No bindings in MSFS controls. The mixture will not leave cutoff unless I manually just click the up arrow. Can somebody help me.

The Auto Jetway Simulation seems to be misbehaving with V2B2. On several occasions, the jetway did not disconnect/pull back (do not have GSX). No problem with the Auto Door Simulation. Both options are enabled in Sim Settings. With the prior version of the aircraft, the jetway always disconnected when the loading of all the elements in MASS & BALANCE was completed. Specifically which action triggers the jetway to auto-disconnect in V2B2 ?

On the A320 FCU there is a list of speed limits for (5) flap/slat extension positions- 1, 1+F, 2, 3, FULL. The control for deploying slats/flaps has only (4) positions- 1, 2, 3, FULL (plus 0 for clean). How do you map the (5) positions to the control ? Positions 1 and 1+F seem to be the key. I would appreciate an explanation on this issue.

This has happened twice to me since the last PMDG update for it, and it never happened previously that I recall. It's not recoverable from anything I've found to do to fix it, so of course it's effectively a crash. No problem zooming/panning but can't interact with anything except the EFB. Any solutions for this that we know of? Thanks

Hey all, Installed AIG for the first time in a long time (new PC). Referred back to the guide published here on Avsim AIG Traffic guide - MSFS (2020) Tips and Tricks Forum - The AVSIM Community but realized it is outdated as there is a new much simpler one-click installer. It was easy enough to figure out myself and a lot easier than I remember it being originally. There was a "mod" to enable Offline GA traffic while running AIG for airliner traffic, allowing for both AIG airliners and GA traffic simultaneously in the sim. I used to use it and it worked. What do you guys think about parallax interiors? I personally hate them. They move in a weird way when my plane moves, and they just look fake. A complete immersion killer. I would prefer to see opaque window textures rather than parallax interiors if a fully modelled 3D interior is not an option.

I have only recently started to use my iPad as a second monitor. I came across an IOS app called TWOMON SE, which worked perfectly for a few days. Now, I am unable to 'pop out' the displays on my main monitor (using the Alt GR key) or find them on my iPad. I have tried to both repair and reset MSFS 2020 to no avail. From the research I have done on google, I am guessing that I have somehow minimised the pop out displays - hence the reason I cannot get them to pop out again on the main monitor. I have rebooted both the iPad and the windows 11 PC, and the problem still persists. How can I fix this issue? EDIT: I have just tested the Ipad as the second monitor…

This post may irritate some, as I'm not saying anything new that hasn't been said by some others recently.
