I have been watching with interest the development of Beyond ATC, but whilst t it seems very good it is more geared to IFR and is quite expensive both for the initial purchase and ongoing premium use. However, after following this, I get the impression that Pilot2ATCmight be more appropriate for me as I mainly fly GA VFR. I don't have a headset or microphone yet so presumably will need to purchase these at the same time, but can anyone who uses it provide a bit of info to help me to understand how it works and it's pros, cons and limitations. E.g. how good is the voice recognition. I was considering using the basic version with out the subscription service.…

Bought this on the sale and love it so far, a few questions for a newbie to radials...saw the one at the Smithsonian museum at Dulles (VERY recommended) and wanted this since. 1) Why is the GPS screen only a portion of the normal size, can I re-size this to the proper size somehow? 2) I seem to keep getting engine fires (or at least white smoke followed by black), even if I don't keep the throttle full nor the RPM levers all the way? What's the best way to fly this beautiful bird without incident? Thanks, Steve

  5. Dear Pilots! For the last few weeks I have been experiencing regular crashes to the desktop with MSFS in the FNX A320, but interestingly these only occur in DX11. In DX12, there is no CTD. The crashes always happen after having loaded into the plane, mostly a few seconds or, at the longest, 2 or 3 minutes after having loaded into the cockpit. The sim directly crashes to the desktop, no error message on screen, only a crash dump is present (parts of this: see below). When starting the sim in the safe mode, it runs smoothly, no crashes regardless if I am using DX11 or DX12. Only when having all add-ons (see below as well) active, does the crash happen. I deactiv…

This caught me by surprise. I thought the World Hub was still undergoing alpha/beta testing. But FSElite is saying the first batch of changes from the World Hub are live already: https://fselite.net/content/first-batch-of-world-hub-airports-updated-on-msfs/

Co-ordinates are 52.14053N, 13.30582E , halfway between EDAZ ( Schonhagen Airport ) and the KLF VOR. Take off from RW 07 at EDAZ and head 130 degs for about a minute. The airfield even has a control tower buried in the trees. A fairly long runway, I put the 787 down there after i had some controllability issues after taking off from Berlin Brandenberg. From the air it looked like a good spot to land. Doesn't show up on the inflight microsoft map but you can find it on google. Took me most of today to find it again. Fairly long runway and the taxi experience is surreal through the trees.

  10. Greetings fellow simmers! There's no lack of discussion and opinions on how to improve stuff to get stellar performance in MSFS. Heck, I've been guilty of that too many times on this forum. I'd like to think that most of us to some extent are chasing that ever-elusive Holy Grail: excellent performance combined with excellent image quality. I'd also like to hope that not too many poor souls find themselves as deep down the rabbit hole as I do. Believe me, that hole goes very deep. A tell-tale sign of this chronic, deteriorating affliction is tampering with Nvidia profile inspector, registry editor, NDU and SysMain. Maybe I should have taken the blue pill? Contrar…

  12. I run the store version of MSFS. I am about to set up a second copy, via Steam (I bought a second copy way back when I was having issues with the store update process but never got to install it) on a separate PC. This second PC is the one I used as my SimPC until I upgraded my PC last year, so it has a copy of the Store MSFS version hard drive on it. The reason I want to do this is that firstly there is no real worthwhile resale value on my "old" PC, and anyway, selling a used PC involves opening several cans of worms, so I figured I'd just use it. I've bought a decent-ish 2k monitor for it, and I plan to use it with my Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo controller…

I'm making a flight right now in another window using the Citation Longitude. I hadn't set anything to fail, but immediately after takeoff I got a red warning that my autothrottle had failed. I'm not complaining, I was just surprosed and wondered if anyone else had experienced such things.

  17. Is there an easy way to disable runways for AI aircraft? ... or is it possible with some tweaking with the SDK? Getting really annoyed with 07/08 arrivals/departures at ini KLAX. I'm aware in SU14 there is the option to have your own flight to land at the runway of your choosing but the AI airplanes doe their own thing.

  24. Hi, I don't fly Airbus very often. but since V2 I have had big problems with Fenix. 1. The Thrustmaster joystick is extremely sensitive. Every small movement causes the machine to move too violently. Of course I adjusted the sensitivity and tried a few things. According to Fenix HP I should even set the sensitivity to 0... but that is extremely direct.. I tried -55 -60% and the machine still reacts very unnaturally. Yesterday I made a landing with Honeycomb Alpha and it was much, much better than with Thrustmaster Joystick... But you want to load an Airbus with a joystick 🙂 But the difference was huge... with Honeycomb I foun…
