I'm not new to Flightsim, I've used the "old" ones for 30+ years. But I have to admit, with FS 2020 and 2024 the big irons are beyond my little brain. All I want to do to start off is set a direct course and go, but when I try the display shows nothing for distance or destination. I've even tried just to see what would happen and the planes take off on the runway heading and just keep going. I fly the little guys tons, and the Longitude too (the only aircraft I have been able to figure out.) Can someone tell me what I need to do? Or point me to a location where I can learn? I have tried YouTube tutorials, but none of them seem to cover setting a course.

I can't seem to figure this out. I'm always getting a pitch trim disagree no matter what trim I set it to. Weather it's the up value on the perf page, or the cg value on the init b page. I don't have this issue with the Fenix Airbus. Is there something I'm missing?

Is it already a solid addon? If it can only have one final update, what fix/improvement does it need before the release of MSFS2024?

Hi, How does Asobo expect anyone to align multiple monitors if the exterior view is blurry when one opens their menu program and goes to Advanced Options to add/align these monitors? Right now one has to spend God knows how long dropping in and out of 2024 menu to check any setting changes just to remove the blurry screen. At least on 2020 you had the hanger to look at to check alignment, now it's just a blurry mess!

Hi fellow simmers! When I started out with Microsoft Flight Simulator around 1988 at 12 years of age, I believe then it was called Flight Simulator 3 if memory serves me and what a joy it was to start a flight from then Meigs Field to Chicago O'hare or Midway. One had to really imagine and pretend much of what we take for granted today: GSX with passengers, other moving aircraft in your area and ATC. Much of these features of course still not perfect even today as we all know. I believe it was in 2002 with the introduction of MSFS 2002 that AI traffic was first introduced. What a joy seeing other moving traffic around you taking off, land and fly routes. Being a…

After a week or two flying GA, I have just returned to the Fenix A319 and spawned it on a ramp at LIML. When it loaded up, both FD indicators together with the speed and heading indicators were flashing on and off. I thought this might be a random failure, but have been unable to find such a failure. Checked the breakers, and the settings to no avail. Then downloaded the Fenix again, and spawned it at the same location - still get the flashing indicators. This happens whether I am on ground power or the APU. Never had this before - has anyone else experienced it - and does anyone have any suggestions how to fix it? Happy flying days.

Hi all, Working on a bit of a larger airport now. Came across some news that the Napa Airport is in the process of a major renovation with two new FBO facilities, so I thought it might be another northern California field needing an update. Early days yet, as there will be a lot of stuff to add. I haven't been there in years and was surprised at how much change there has been. The Atlantic terminal/FBO will open later this year, so hopefully there will be better photo sources at that time for a further update.

Source 'Hello everyone. Hope you all had a great week. Thank you to all of those that supported us through the launch of the HJet for MSFS 2024. While working on a bunch of other project and continued house cleaning Marwan was able to get in some time for a hotfix of sorts. This patch will be available Monday around 12PM PT across all storefronts. Upcoming patch for the HJet Ver 3.0.11 - Fixed an issue causing uncorrected gyro drift on the G3000. - Increased windshield de-ice effectiveness to prevent anti-ice from being overpowered in certain conditions. - Fixed a texture issue that caused the IDLE decal on the throttle to appear too dark. …

As most of will know, certainly with every sim I have used, from FSX through P3D to MSFS, whenever I have popped out an instrument panel, the frames have 'tanked.' Usually about 30% for the first panel popped out, and then reduced frames for every other panel that is popped out. Can anyone tell me if this 'bug' is still present in 2024?

After using MSFS2020 MSFS2024 for six years I got my very first error message. 001-401. Says cannot connect to servers. Now I just installed a new GeForce 5080 GPU and wanted to give her a try. Could this somehow effect my connection? Is anyone else having this issue or is it more of a one-on-one issue?

Flew the TBM 850 from Mt Airy, North Carolina to Saranac Lake in upstate NY this afternoon. Wx forecasts and satellite imagery agreed that I should've seen clear skies over the entire flight until I was close to my destination. What actually happened was clear skies on departure rapidly giving way to a completely solid layer beneath me (I was at FL230) by the time I got into W Virginia, persisting into southern Pennsylvania. Towards central Penn, it gradually became broken and finally scattered. Somewhere near the Philipsburg (PSB) VOR, the scattered clouds below me abruptly vanished and I finally had the clear skies satellite imagery indicated I should see. After th…

Here's the scenario: MSFS 2024 Using Riva Tuner for FPS cap Not using Frame Generation 60 Hz monitor refresh rate With fps capped at 60, I can pan the camera around and everything is smooth. No bumps, no stutters. When I lower the fps to 55 in Riva Tuner (in an attempt to get a little more headroom for high-demand scenarios), there are regular (rhythmic) bumps when panning around. In fact, setting the fps to anything below 60 fps brings on the bumps. They are totally absent (smooth panning) at 60 fps, but even at a cap of 59, they are there. The bumps get worse as the fps cap goes down from 59 to 55. Interestingly, the bumps ar…

Hello, I'm writing to the "Professionals" of airliners like the A320 or 737-800. When I approach EGLL via STAR ALES1H through BIG to land either East or West, I adhere to the speed and altitude restrictions (see chart). So, from ETVAX (FL180), I need to arrive at BIG at FL070 and a speed of 220 KIAS. However, I always arrive too fast and too high at BIG unless I manage the rate of descent with a severe V/S and "stay on the speedbrakes." Do you have any advice, or better yet, a solution? Thank you in advance.

Found this post on another forum - liked the content - and the author said he was happy for me to share further. FR24 to SimBrief — Quick OFP Generator Wanted to share a free tool I’ve been working on: fr24tosimbrief.com The idea is simple — grab a flight from FlightRadar24, paste the link, and it pulls all the flight data (origin, destination, aircraft, airline, route) and sends it straight to SimBrief to generate your OFP. No more manually typing in airport codes. The aircraft ICAO type gets pre-filled automatically, but you’ll still select your specific airframe (Fenix, PMDG, etc.) on SimBrief’s dispatch page once it opens. What it does: ∙ Paste any FR24 link …

Came across this stuttering fix on a youtube shorts, and after half an hour of flying the Cessna Skywagon (nice plane) South West from Washington DC, at 2000ft the micro stutters everyone complains about in fs2024 - they seem to have gone now. You have to do this: How to Disable HPET (Windows): [High Precision Event Timer] Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Run: "bcdedit /set useplatformclock false". (without quotation marks) Run: "bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock" (optional, to restore the function back to default). Restart your computer. "High Precision Event Timer (HPET) is a hardware timer used in modern PCs to synchronize multimedia, gr…

I noticed the VSR field is showing a blank on the main map page, while however showing the correct value in the VNAV page. I swear this used to work before, but now I’m not sure. Is this working for anyone else?

Just bought the ini A340 while it's discounted. Overall quite satisfied with my purchase so far – but the framerate of the CRT displays (EIS 1) seems to be quite low. I haven't found a setting to increase it anywhere. Is this possible, or maybe am I missing another setting? Thanks!

Hi I almost love the FSS 727 Passenger. But getting it to capture the localiser and glide slope is driving me to distraction. It is not the general procedure that is the problem - because if I start a flight at the runway with engines running it works every time. But if I start from cold and dark, there is something I am clearly not switching on or some other tip or trick I'm missing. Scenario 1 1 I have started the flight at the runway, all systems ready to go 2 I follow the route using 'GPS' setting of the NAV/GPS toggle switch 3 When approaching the airport, at the correct intercept height and the aircraft at the correct speed & con…

Flew into KORD from the east, a couple of times this weekend, using the WINDY and WATSN STAR's. Noticed on both, there are no speed / altitude constraints and (if you are using the southern runways), you have to leave the STAR well before the final waypoint or else you will be out of position for lining up on those runways. Looking at traffic flows from Flight Aware confirms this. So from a simming perspective, I assume I just need to wing it and fly whatever vectors / altitudes / speeds I feel are acceptable to get me to the ILS approach fix? Not as easy as it sounds, my first time I descended way too soon and spent the last 40 miles of the flight leveled off a…
