Does anyone know if you can later upgrade from Standard to Deluxe or Premium? Not sure yet if I find the latter two worth the money - depends on the quality of the default planes. I might rather put the $60 towards a high quality payware plane later on. Only found the following on Microsoft's FAQ section: Q: Will I be able to upgrade editions? A: Yes it is possible, but the most cost-efficient way to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator is to buy the edition you are interested in.

One thing that has been appealing about a cloud based game and the DLC model is the easing reinstalls. At least in steam, you just click the game and the DLC to install and you’re done. I haven’t used Microsoft market place before, but expect similar. It would be amazing to not have to click dozens of exe files and manually edit files. So...is it going to matter if we buy software through the market place vs at the 3rd party site. For example, I see that FlightBeam has released KDEN with options to by from them or through the marketplace. Is it going to be a one click reinstall through the marketplace vs a separate file/install if through FlightBeam? …

Just for future reference, how is one supposed to report issues to Asobo in the future? The devs have mentioned in the interviews that they will fix issues with the scenery when reported with sufficient real life photographs. I have already seen some places that need their vegetation adjusted and would like to know where and how we should report these to them in the future.

Tomorrow will be the first release of this amazing piece of software. Afterwards I foresee this forum and other places around the web being crowded with people whining, complaining, bashing and eloquently explaining why some feature is so badly implemented and how it could be done so much better and so on. Keep in mind: It will be as it is everywhere else in life. A small group of people making quite a lot of noise always seems to be much more prominent than it actually is. That sort of feedback will not be representative for the majority of happy flightsimmers that are able to enjoy the beginning of a new era of our beloved hobby despite seeing the room for improvements …

For those that didn't notice yet, the guys at FE Elite had published an excellent review of the upcoming MFS that I think covers every aspect people would like to know - and wouldn't like to know too- about the new sim: https://fselite.net/reviews/microsoft-flight-simulator-the-fselite-review/ Enjoy. Cheers, Ed

Hi guys, What would you recommend for a person who's never done a flight simulator before? I'm planning on doing a lot of island hoping around the Caribbean, but figure the first few planes should be fairly user friendly. Fancy airports aren't much use for me if I can't land on them.. 😊 I've watched a lot of you-tube video's, read forums etc, but very little of it seems to talk about which planes, suit the level of the user. At this stage I've also picked up the Thrustmaster TCA sidestick, is there anything else that I should consider getting in the near future. Many thanks Brendon

Why is it 59,99 USD in USA and 69,99 EUR in Europe? 1€ = 1.18$ In Europe there's Germany and Greece, not the same paychecks at all, 70€ in Germany is not the same amount as 70€ in Lithuania. The regional pricing is very very unfair. Also I tried (as an experiment) to buy on the Brazilian or Egyptian market but there are obstacles, I'm not sure that buying store credit on the Brazilian marketplace will let me buy the game...

According to this video: This is what he states: Regarding the frame rate issues in the video: The developers recommend an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, NVIDIA GTX 970 and 16GB of memory. The PC we ran this game on featured a GTX 1080Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 1700, 16GB of Memory, M.2 SSD with internet speed of 200 Mbps. I frequently ran into performance issues at Ultra settings at 1080p resolution. Sometimes the game may fall down to below 20 fps and then it will have long stretches of 30 to 40 frames per second. I lowered some of the settings but that didn’t make any difference. Performance was absolutely horrific in specific scenarios like snow, storm, night time or wh…

Well the giant trees that YSSY is well-known for appear to have been trimmed. There's still some there, just not the proliferation that I recall. Trees throughout the city look good, imo. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is now a bridge, just not the iconic shape we all know.
