Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello, Question to anyone who already owns MSFS and can browse its marketplace: is it possible to purchase individual airports and "default" planes separately (from those included in Deluxe/Premium editions) and if so, what's the price of individual pieces? Since I'm only interested in select airports and just a few default aircraft, I wonder if purchasing Standard edition + bits that I actually want makes more sense than paying for Premium. TIA

In terms of simulation itself such as aircraft behaviour, movement, delay, response, physics, etc...., is MSFS2020 even better simulation software than those that are used by airlines in their training facilities? Or to be more precise, when we see those simulators that airlines use for training of pilots (I do not know how they are called), what software are they running? Do they run FSX, P3D, or are they going to run MSFS2020? Thanks.

The FPS lock says 60 and is greyed out; does anyone know why?

Hi installed fs20 and after restart syncing data screen comes up but it is stuck on 0% for half a hour does it usually take this long

Unsure about it a bit; is there a way to save a flight mid flight or at the start? Also, biggie for me, the only in-game menu options I have is the xbox line with a few options like atc, views etc; is there any button of key or way that gives you access to the full options like key assignments, graphic options etc while in game with a 'loaded flight' Am I missing a hot key or something? Hello! I have bought Premium Deluxe version on Steam some time go. Today I downloaded and installed MSFS, but it seems only the Standard version is installed! Why? What should I do? I have seen options to upgrade in the Marketplace, but I paid for that already! Anyone had the same problem?

hi guys, trying v sync option have it enabled to cap at 60fps however i do see it slightly over like 68fps sometimes which peggs the GPU to 100%. is it broken or am i doing something wrong?. many thanks and happy flights.

hi all, I have a question regarding downloading msfs2020 from the Microsoft store. I plan to buy a 1TB m.2 for the sim, can I download directly to this new drive or will it download to C drive and have to be moved after? My C drive is almost full so downloading first to C and then moving is not an option. Thanks in advance.

Morning guys, finally woken up to a completed install, showed 91GB completed, i purchased the premium deluxe version but in the sim menu it says purchase delete version. did i miss a step or so? many thanks.

I have an SSD and the most I can strip away from windows 10 leaves only 190 gigs (The SSD has only 222 gigs total space). My question is, that given I need the published 150 gigs to install the super deluxe edition (I can probably use a different HDD for addons etc) am I going to get SSD performance loss or complications with not much left on the drive? My second question: Is there a huge difference in loading scenery/textures/aircraft between an SSD and HDD? I didn't notice that much difference between P3d on a conventional drive and an SSD except that the initial start up was a bit slower on the HDD.

Ran across a 'bug' perhaps in the Installer/Downloader from MS? Since my internet connection is only running @ 12mbs I have plenty of time to just what download go by. Since the installer doesn't show current download speed I had the task manager open to watch the Ethernet speed go by. AS you may know it also shows things like CPU % utilization and GPU % utilization. Well, the installer was using 22% of my GPU so I figured, maybe if I minimize that it might cut back on its % of utilization. On minimize the Installer was now using 82% of my GPU! Ouchie. So much for keeping the GPU cool for the 10 hour install time. 🙂 That wasn't all I noticed when minimized CPU usage …

for showing fps still in place?

Hello everyone, so far this Beauty runs quite well but one thing that annoys me is that when in cockpit mode the camera or view is moving all the time so that i have to reset it always to look straight ahead. Tried the internal camera settings, but no luck. Any advice on how to get this done ? Thanks, Carsten

Hey all, Has anyone else notice how data is being written to two different drives at the same time while playing 2020? I installed the sim on my SSD D drive, and the installation wouldn't allow me to continue unless the cache was left in the C drive. But here's the fun and weird part, whenever I am using the sim, about 8gb are being written to my C drive, and when I exit the sim, those 8 gb are restored...but when trying to change the rolling cache folder, the system detects the space of my D drive, so I am very confused as to how to make everything be in a single drive to avoid all that read and write from my C drive which is my OS NVME. Can anyone clarify if there…

Hello if someone please advise ? In GeForce experience I did a scan and found one game supported. Obviously is MSFS2020 while that’s the only one I have. Do I need to ADD it on the lower scan location or just let it as it is? Thank you

Hey all, I don't know if the topic has been discussed yet or if someone got information about this. As I wasn't part of the beta I flew above my hometown and surrounding area today. Needless to say I was disappointed, because the buildings are just random autogen, ships are underwater, churches are flat, landmarks are missing. I don't want to make any accusations, that it should look better, I just want to know if there is/will be a possibility for us to "fix"/improve the areas ourselves and share it with others. If a lot of people are willing to optimize their home area I think it would greatly benefit the flightsim overall.

Last night I got to 30% downloaded and it was hanging on the decompress base01. So I closed and restarted Microsoft store and tried to restart the download. But when I click launch it is now just waiting with a black screen and blue bar for the last hour.. if I want to delete the files and start a fresh download, where abouts do I need to delete from? Where was the default installation path?

After Press any Key to start the game is loading something and just crash to dekstop. In event viewer i have this error (ucrtbase.dll)

Just kidding really. Noticed a few issues right off the bat that are minor: After finally installing I plugged my Alpha yoke in while the game was loading (I'd really like an option to by-pass the opening credits) and the game crashed entirely out to the desktop. I then noticed while setting up the devices that, oddly, the switches for the Alpha yoke were backwards in color (on the left for the two RED Master and two WHITE Avionics switches). Minor, but something that should be fixed at some point (well, the crash wasn't so minor).
