Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

ok so i know that this sim comes with live traffic (which was possible in fsx/p3d with an addon), but will we ever be able to have accurate ai models and liveries in this simulator? Like what we got with ultimate traffic live in fsx/p3d

We know 8.33 kHz channel spacing will be there since the IFR Episode and in the very same video we also had to witness it's faulty implementation. Any news on the issue that are publicly available, anything in the many videos which no one can possibly watch? I might have missed something but I feel nobody is really messing around with those basic features. Have never seen just one person tune in a frequency by hand in any of those videos. Not that I couldn't wait another week or so to find out myself it might still be wrong, just being curious as we're a few versions further down the road.

I purchased FS Standard . I open the MS Store and clicked for install. At "Selection of Hrd drives", I selected 😧 D:\ 1000GB. I clicked "Install "not thing is happening. Any advise. Thanks

Hey everyone, I have managed to help a few of my friends start downloading the game who have been having issues on steam. Firstly uninstall MSFS and log out of steam. Secondly Log back in, change your download region then click install. When the 500mb file has downloaded, Launch the game (the game will actually launch into a separate launcher where you can download the game) From that moment on everything should hopefully work, when the game has installed and it comes up with Choose your experience, if the screen appears blank, press the escape key and it should jog it to work. Hopefully this helps a few people out

I pre-ordered the Premier edition. Now I can't even begin an installation. There's an error code which is meaningless whenever a download is attempted. Any advice?

So right now I'm running in 4k but with scaling at 70% with ultra high settings. TAA for AA. NCP is set to 30hz refresh rate (Vsync on and 60 setting in the sim). Granted I was leaving JFK in the A320neo I noticed the cpu/gpu were not pegged, however the vram was. something like 10.5/11. I had a thought. Man when this sim eventually rolls over to DX12, people are going to need beasts. The latest rumors also suggest the 3090 will not have the 24VRAM we were hoping for. While compression will be better, I'm wondering how things are going to be in the future here.

Flew over my house today, Now about the topic: TrackIR isn’t working yet. Only the left LED turns green. Is there anything else I have to do except start the TrackIR program?

Started the download about half an hour ago, will probably be all day before I can try it. During the process, it asked for a location to store the packages, but not an actual install path. Does that mean I don't get to choose? I don't want it under Program Files.

So just flew from KRAL to KPOC in the steam 172.. it's so beautiful I can't even find words for it.. word not allowed spectacular...

I have 40-60 fps in normal conditions. one thing I noticed covered clouds INCREASE fps because they occlude the ground (that's my only hypothesis otherwise it's magic). for the first time i can have 2 overcast layers at 60 fps in a big city + airliner I have 20-35 fps, but it feels really smooth to me (1080p)

I have two questions regarding FSUIPC 7 (for use with MSFS 2020): - Where to go to find the download? and; - I have a purchased version of FSUIPC 6. Is version 7 an upgrade, or will I need to purchase it separately? Thanks, Brian

I have the obvious axis and twist rudder mapped and the left side has the throttle + flaps button. The right side has a big red EJECT button that I mapped to the parking brake but I have these nine buttons on the front free to map to anything. I'm thinking I need a trim up and down and a toggle cockpit button camera but what else should I do with the remaining 7? What do you think is necessary to have? Hi everyone. Absolutely loving the new sim, graphics are out of this world. Been using props and honestly the VFR aspect is just breath taking. I have stumbled across one issues though. After my first flight and I land at an airport I am struggling to find out how to access the world map / flight planner screen to put together my next flight. Surely you do not have to quit and go back to the main menu? Cant find any button for it in the controls either !

Hi there. I just bought the new Flight Simulator directly from Microsoft but I am not able to install it on my Drive D. When it comes to choose the drive to install to, there is only my C-Drive available but there is not enough memory on it. My C-Drive is a SSD. My D-Drive is just a normal HDD. Could this be the problem? Thanks in advance. Frank

Has anybody been able to get the DA40 started? I can't get the Electrical Master switch to move - it keeps on springing back to the off position.

Similar to XP, you can set custom views. I have mine set to num1-5 for the ones I use most often, and I have bound those to both my mouse and joystick for ease of use. However, when I go to external view and then click the custom view no 1, then it actually doesnt go to that view. It goes to some sort of standard cockpit view, and then I have to click my custom view no 1 again to make it work. Its quite annoying. If I want the standard cockpit view I will use the corresponding hotkey for it. When I click my custom view, I want it to become active.

..Is live weather! Wind aloft is missing. Any altitude wind is 3kts ! I can live with that but it kind of bummer!

So, what's the news on any config files that have been found, and what the contents look like that we can muck with? it'll be over 10 hours from now that I can start downloading and I'm dying to find out. Coming from FSX I just don't know what else are we actually supposed to DO with this sim???? 😁

Hi gents, i downloaded successfully the game, then downloaded (inside the game) the premium deluxe update, but now the intro screen (tbm) stays and nothing happens ! Tried several times to shut the app then resart.... my pc works well with others flightsims: i7 7700k, 32 gb, gt 1080 8 md, 2 x ssd..... any solution ? Thanks in advance

Just this second installed .... Selected departure airport as my local airfield EGNF ... Not there ... In fact loads of airports missing in the UK ? Anyone had this problem ?
