Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi. I'm looking for some advice. I have an Xbox account and a windows account. I purchased MSFS2020 using the wrong one. I can play the standard game on the account I want to play it on, but it won't let me play the deluxe version on that account. (Even though it's downloaded). Is there a way for me to remedy this that you know of, or do I have to refund my purchase and then re-purchase with the right account? Thanks!

Currently hitting the keyboard 'End' button cycles the view between inside the cockpit from Pilot P.O.V & Outside, sitting in behind the aircraft. The Outside view is one I use a lot but the current MSFS view is behind & above the aircraft, a bit too high above for my liking. Is there any way to move this Outside P.O.V down? I prefer to be in line or slightly below the aircraft. Preferably without getting into the Drones settings. I just wish to fix the 'End' button outcomes. Thanks T45

After switching to live weather, now my weather tab is gray out for some reason and I can't switch back. Have anyone else experienced that?

Hi guys, I am running a pretty good PC and definitely was able to run the Alpha just fine when that was still a thing, but now I am not able to install. It is getting stuck at the "Welcome, Set your Experience" screen and have attached a pic below as well as my comp specs. Any advice? I ordered the DVD version from Amazon a couple of weeks back, and it changed from delivery today to no clue when it will be available? Cancelled Order and now downloading 95Gig! Did anyone actually receive a DVD version?

100 works well for 4k screens and anything less than 4k you should start going to 100-150 to make the Sim look crisp. @ 1440p ultrawide resolution I have mine set to about 130 and the Sim looks quite good without much of a fps hit.

Hi there. My speed is really good so I don't have any problems whatsoever with the streaming functionality. However I wanted to save select pieces of the world that I am gonna be flying over a lot on my hard drive. I don't see a way to do that? It's not like there is a list like in xplane for example.

This might be a premature question to ask, but does anyone know if it is possible to back up/archive the massive data files downloaded during the installation so that any subsequent re-installs can forego the heavy lift? (I don't have any intention of deliberately testing it right now, but I guess it can't hurt to try copying it out to a different drive to try out if ever a re-install becomes necessary) -Greg

Hi all, Currently flying with an Xbox controller via Bluetooth and after 10 mins or so crashes to desktop. Anyone else experiencing similar problems? I had to disable Bluetooth entirely for installation to work. very frustrating.

I preordered from the MS Store and I cannot see any option to install. The only option is to hit launch. After this I get a notice that says 'cannot sync data to the cloud' and my option is try again or play offline. If I hit play offline it takes me to screen to set your experience and then clicking next takes me to a screen saying checking for updates and nothing happens. It definitely hasn't installed the large download. Can someone provide how to install properly? I turned off firewall and every other security feature I can think of. Thanks, Dave

I'm at Sedona and for me it seems that the SmartCam it bound to the left mouse and when I try to freelook it enables the smartcam and it just pans up. Nothing I seem to do can stop this, any help.

All, Regular flight simmer for the last 35+ years. I'm having a hard time getting 2020 up and running. First off, I miss the top nav bar allowing us to do the following with ease: 1. Change date/time - In 2020, you have to click on the time minute by minute to change the time. I just wants to fly during the day time! 2, Maximize View (W) - In 2020, unavailable 3. CH Throttle Yoke - manual setup; really? 4. Map View gone - In 2020, no map view which allows us to move the airplane forward. This is tough. The good news, I 'think' my performance is good on my PC. I'll let you know once I get an actual flight in. Tim

I have struggled for hours to get the mapping, keys an inputs to work with my "old" classic CH yoke... But I cant even get the aileron/elevators to work... Or the hatswitch or flaps etc... Has someone made a step by step "how to" manual/video how exactley to assign a device that MSFS not detects and are preprogrammed Please help me, I give up soon... Despite the drama with the premium/deluxe edition in Steam and the download time, I'm pretty curious about the liveries. How would you repaint them? When will they start coming?

Okay, so I have older CH Products rudder pedals (waiting for Honeycomb to give more details on their Charlie pedals before I retire them). In the sim they are not preset so it's all manual. Does anyone know the correct way to set these up? I believe they are set to Joystick L Axis X+ (left) and Y+ (right), but they don't seem to work very well. When looking at them in the cockpit they barely move and they don't feel like they're doing very much to stop me on the ground. My last landing, in a 172, I rolled right off the end of the runway at KACY where I had tons of runway. What am I doing wrong?

Ordered on Amazon which announce next day delivery. But now it says August 26th, so I cancelled the order and went to Steam. But steam will only allow me to install either to Drve D (HDD) or to my SSD but only in Program Files\Steam|steamapps. It will not let me create a download library such as C:\MSFS. I have to use the existing program files directory. Are there the same issues about installing to this folder as there were with FSX and P3d?

anyone know if/how MSFS2020 works with foreflight on an iPad like X-Plane does? It's a fantastic feature that i use daily. thanks!
