Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I reinstalled Windows again before purchasing MFS. Now LittleNavMap won't connect. Everything worked in the beta version. Where to look for a solution? Something is missing.

I'm having this pixaleted areas on bright and dark objects, settings are at ultra, rtx2080 i7 9700k I'm not sure if this is intentional but in diplay settings HDR10 is on and grayed so I can't change it. but my monitor is not HDR. maybe this is causing the problem? I've tried different settings but it didn't help. Zoom in and check the left side of the cocpit

Hi all Spent some time now flying and whilst the scenery around the plane is stunning into the near distance and sides the scenery is not rendering until I get right next to it, looks terrible, at 1080p with below settings on default with ultra settings, played around with some settings but still looks terrible away from the plane, I have not noticed this forward rendering issue on any videos I7 8700 GTX 1080 ti 64 gigs ram

I started my download (xbox for PC) at 00:05 local time (East AU) and watched progress for about 30 min. All looked good, 10Gb - so I went to bed. 06:00 local time I got up expecting it to be finished (6 hours later) and I’m sitting on 50Gb of 91Gb and after watching for a while the download speed must be down in the Kb/sec. It will be some time before I will see it finish. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi, I'm experiencing lots of CTDs. Some already in menu, some after a few seconds/minutes of flying.First it seems it got a little less when disconecting my Thrustmaster Flight-X stick but not really. As I see hardly others with such a behavior - is it really only me? (I'm having a rather new machine, fulfilling all system requirements and using latest graphics driver) thx

Hi everyone, Bought Deluxe on MS Store. During install, I did by mistake understood that the path was for temp package so now FS is installed on a HD (D:\) and not my SSD (E:\). Can I use the "move" function in the application menu to move FS from D to E ? Did someone try already ? Is it risky ? Cheers !

I am waiting on various details from users before buying FS 2020 and would appreciate the opinion of people who have now use the release version on the scenery realism. All the videos I have seen look subtlely cartoon like and over saturated almost a HDR look, I'm not sure how much of this is due to youtube compression and rendering but suspect the videos are fairly representative. What is the general view on the scenery realism compared to ORBX or photo scenery from previous versions of MSFS? Thanks in advance

My install from the Microsoft Store was surprisingly fast and smooth probably because I did the following two things before installing: 1) Went to Add or Remove Programs and removed FS2020 that was installed when I purchased it some time ago. 2) Turned OFF my antivirus' Auto-Protect and Firewall which doubled my download speed After that, I went to the Microsoft Store selected Install and two hours later I was happily flying over my house.

Hey everyone, I boiught the new sim today and stated installing it, after about 70 gbs installed my internet cut out and the game crashed, when I relaunch the sim It acts as if the sim was fully installed but some parts are missing cause it wasn't fully installed. If I go to content manager I can see that essential packages aren't installed and I get the massage: relaunch game to update. what do I do?

How do I turn off annoying prompts? They obscure all the devices and toggle switches.

I can't take it anymore. Looking at these YouTube videos of people flying around previewing FS2020 just hurts looking at it. Had one guy flying around Miami with flaps deployed through the whole city (previewing scenery is one thing not understanding the aircraft is another), another person keeps previewing airliners with no ATC wondering why he can't get his approach right (actually it's rare to find anyone previewing airliners using ATC), and others that flat out don't know how an aircraft operates having issues with correct stall/spin procedures. Many also don't know how to use the autopilot and no understanding of basic autobrake operation. My point is this…

The first thing I used to do on any FSX/P3D install was tweak the camera. It was fixed with no momentum, so the hat switch on my stick moved it and it didn't follow the aircraft. Likewise panning around the cockpit wasn't moving to fixed positions like it does by default in FS2020, I could move it around freely. Is there any way at all to replicate this in FS2020? So far is the only moderately annoying thing in an awesome simulator.

Using an Xbox controller, the LT and RT analog triggers are handled as digital inputs. This means even the slightest pressure on the trigger gives full rudder. There is a "rudder axis" entry in the control config which is an analog input, but I can only assign one of the triggers to this. And regardless if it is the left or right trigger, it will only push the rudder left. Is there something I'm missing on how to assign left trigger to analog rudder left and right trigger to analog rudder right? Is there maybe a control config file I could do this in if I can't do it through the remapper?

This will sound strange, but I found whenever I disconnected my USB keyboard the download process would either hang randomly and need to be killed or just plain CTD. Ever since I stopped doing the disconnects, it's been fine for some hours and many GB. The reason I disconnect at all is I have a USB keyboard switcher to share my keyboard between the flightsim PC and a laptop. That disconnects the PC when switching to the laptop.

Since it is impossible to undock windows like Pfd / Nd / Eicas I will stay with Prepar3d for now. A serious sim should have this kind of support!!!!!

I use several input devices, amongst other I have 2 Joysticks. On one joystick I just want to use the slider, all other buttons and axes should be switched off. But as soon as I change a control, I have to select a control. I can do a "Clear current input" but then I have to select another one, press a button or move an axis. On that specific joystick the sim made some default assignments. I want to get rid of them. Thx, Karl

These kinds of UI things should show up under Controls, but apparently don't unless I just missed them.

Does anyone know how to load a saved flight once you re-enter the sim?
