Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Looking for input. I fly for a virtual airline and I am currently using the MSFS 2024 B737-800 MAX. I can't find a procedure to descend without breaking the flight level restrictions. I:E 250 knots below 10,000 feet. I am not using VNAV, I have turned off the autothrottle to try to reduce my speed. If I deploy the speed brakes the airspeed increases. I imagine that is due to the fact that the autopilot senses the nose up and applies power to prevent a stall. If I use one degree flaps I get the same results. Descent rate is 1800 fpm. Any ideas how to reduce speed without this happening. Bob G.

Hello i would like to use little nav map while in VR in FS2024. I found a panel in flightsim.to but the map dont work , it is all blank Do you another mean to achieve that ? I use sky4sim which is working good in VR but i want a more complete flighmap Thanks !

I cannot install the SU3 Beta. After spending a lot of time trying to find out how to enrol in the beta, and eventually finding Asobo have changed this process, I joined SU3. When booting up the sim its stuck on "Your game needs an update" and refuses to download even a byte of data. Total update size also shows 0.0. It eventually shows an error message. Left it for ages. Restarted sim, restarted Windows. I then opened xBox Insider and left the beta. Despite not having downed anything for SU3 Beta the sim is attempting to download some update but the issue is exactly the same - downloads nothing. Hi folks. I have been setting up controller bindings for a while now and I think I've got things really messed up (my fault). What I would like to know is how I can get everything back to original new install settings and start over. I have uninstalled the sim through Steam and reinstalled it but the controller settings don't reinitialize. I guess that's a good thing but in my case I actually want all controller settings reset. Is it just a matter of deleting all of the custom profiles I have created over time? If so, can someone please remind me how to do that? Thanks all.

Was wondering if others get alot of what I call ghosting when using frame gen and more so at night when you are planning the plane in external view. I have the latest DLSS files and using K with MSFS2024. At night is more noticeable and it's like looking at 4 or 5 of my planes when planning around. Is there a solution to minimize this horrible effect?

I've been waiting for what seems forever, for Justflight to release the Fokker 70/100 in MSFS. As an interim I'm thinking of buying the RJ series Professional. The reviews and videos seem to consider it an excellent aircraft in the Sim. I have the BAE146 version but am not overly happy with it. Do those of you who have the RJ consider it to be a worthwhile purchase for MSFS 2020/2024? Opinions would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

So, since I built a new rig (AMD 9900X3D, blah, blah, blah), I decided to give MSFS 2024 another go now that SU2 has been released. Since I only fly airliners, I have no interest in migrating wildebeasts or photorealistic rocks. If MSFS 2024 is going to earn its stripes for me its going to have to find a way to support Fenix A321, at KLGA, with Samscene NYC, and do it at a flyable framerate - so let's start there. As discussed in the thread 2020 simmers fight back, the fight back is winning. Aerosoft have crumbled to community demands, and are backporting Dusseldorf to FS2020. Even Msobo have crumbled. SU16 is finally planned, And they have assigned their best Dev to it (Lionel). 2020 simmers must continue to demand FSR3 and FSR4. Plus other graphics engine optimizations. The fight can be won. Inibuilds will be the next to crumble and go back to supporting 2020 add-ons. Their plan to go with 2024 Only will backfire and cost them heaps in lost sales. Watch this space.

Hey, not sure if its something i'm doing but whenever I try and wind the clock back to daytime (i'm in Australia), it keeps reverting back to live time. Anyone else have this issue?

I suppose I can guess what the answer will be (and will probably get flamed just for asking), but just in case, does anyone know how to change settings in MSFS so ai ships and planes appear at a distance, like in 2020? Currently ai ships and planes only pop into existence when you're a few hundred feet from them. I was wondering if someone knows of a setting somewhere maybe deep in the sim files that would toggle a longer distance view. I know there's more important bugs to fix, but it's just something from 2020 that I miss in 2024. Thanks - Bob

Comcast has become hugely expensive here in the US, so I'm thinking about dropping the cable completely and try 5G Home Internet from T-Mobile. Who provides cruise ships for 2024? I have cruise ships in small canals where they should not be. I have searched for GAIST and Seafront Simulations but found nothing. So who else provides Cruise Ships ??
