Hi All I have recently got a subscription to Navigraph and it has really transformed my flight planning and all round understanding of flight procedures on my flights. I feel that at the moment though I have a missing link in that I plan my flights with no detailed information as to the weather conditions I will encounter. (Even though all we get is 225 @ 3 with real world weather!) The most I'm doing is using the excellent Windy App which I know is very accurate to get a feel for the weather. But I know I should be thinking about winds, clouds, icing etc. I'm flying the Bonanza mostly at the moment. From a flight planning stand point what do the rest of yo…

Is it just me or are the autopilots worthless in these planes? I have tried all of the prop models, not one of them will follow a NAV command and the ALT is hit or miss as well. I just purchased this after 20 years of FSX and Prepar3D. This is not acceptable. Is it a known bug, something that will be addressed? I guess I'll fire up P3Dv4 for now.

Anyone found a good tutorial for the 787 especially the FMC and the autopilot? The A320 is pretty easy to use, but I had a ton of problems with the 787. Took it on a short trip across Japan. Not only did the map displays show totally different views at the same range, but it seemed to hunt all over trying to follow the plan. Then due to not understanding how to make it descend correctly I ended up at 5000 feet right over the airport (and it wasn't following the approach either that was loaded in through the flight planning). I tried putting in the approach again and after giving it the correct transition it first wanted to add a waypoint 50nm back the way I came…

1. I am not sure if I have somehow created this problem or is not operational in MSFS. I have saved a flight in C:\Users\Noel\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Saved Flight Plans : YSSY - YPAD.FLT YSSY - YPAD.FLT.FSSAVE YSSY - YPAD.SPB When I set up I selected this flight plan I used Live Weather and all is ok. Should I restart MSFS later and select this flight plan it loads ok but I lose the weather icon in the Custom Toolbar and naturally lose any control of the weather. Has anyone else experienced similar problem? 2. Can anyone suggest how to get rid of the advice and…

Does anyone know why FS2020 doesn't utilize directx 12? It seems odd that a next-gen game, developed by Microsoft, didn't even use its own current-gen development system. Microsoft is even encouraging developers to use directx 12... Seems at the very least odd, and at most oddly hypocritical

Hi, Does anyone know how to hide the yoke in FS2020? I've looked on all the keyboard assignments log posted by another user on the forum, but cannot find anything. And I thought that I had seen a YouTube video on FS2020 that said it was possible. Thanks.

Hi, I watched several videos about setting up the A320 for a IFR flight. Problem is, they allways start at the apron and I don t know what to do before. Everytime I fly the A320 there is allready an automatically generated flightplan in the FMC (because I choose IFR) How can I put in a custom flightplan - i.e. made by simbrief - from the scratch? Do I have to chosse „VFR“ or something else before loading the plane at the departure airport - to provide an empty FMC without the automatic Flightplan? How do I start an IFR Flight in the A320 with an empty FMC - so that I can insert all waypoints and airways in the old fashioned way? Than…

Just did a flight out of KBJC (who's squawking as KDTW for both ground and tower for some reason) in Denver and found that high altitude has no baring on piston engine performance (flying the Baron). In sims of the past going back to FS2000 I always had to lean the fuel a bit to get the engines to start. In FS2020 that is not needed for not only engine start but once aloft. I reported this but wondering what are other's experiences with pistons at high altitude airports.

Hi People. Im new to this . so be gentle with me I have purchased MFS 2020 and think its really great. Last night I landed at an airport and was instructed to proceed to the gate ? I looked high and low on the task bar which appears on the top of the screen to try to locate the gate i was being sent to...No success after travelling up and down to around ten minutes while taking in the scenery and looking for info on the gate i eventually parked close to another aircraft where i then asked for ground teams to do thier job then logged out... HELP

Just did a flight around Denver and then over to Flightbeam's KDEN and was amazed there was no performance hit at all. The airport is highly detailed and ran like butter in the sim. To be clear no other payware add-on modeling an airport of this size has accomplished this yet in FS2020. I know this may have been reported already but this gives me great hope in not only scenery but add-on aircraft. In time once developers learn how to optimize their work in FS2020 these add-ons will out perform anything we've ever seen added to any version of Flight Simulator in the past.

Doing a flight from Christchurch to Auckland. There is a round pointer floating in the sky, giving me direction and distance to the destination. How can I remove this? Searched through the menus! Also there was another pointer in the sky telling me how far to taxi to the active runway. Annoying !!!

I have mostly flown in photoG areas over the past 2 weeks. Now...in non photoG areas, especialy the islands (St Thomas, PR). the rooftops in the distance seem to flicker really bad...I have tried all Ultra settings (highest AA), but can't get away from this. I am running at 1080p with an Nvidia 1080 card with Ultra / High settings. Anyone else experience this? Have a solution?

Maybe it should have been a “feature” from the start, but since it wasn’t there’s now a landmark pack for Washington which even includes the President in the Oval Office!

I forget how I found this area within the sim (ICAO: SCLD) but did a quick flight this morning to try out NVIDIA's capture function. Ended up having a sort of a visceral experience, especially when you decide to land somewhere random, shut down the engine and just listen to the surroundings. Oh and the shots were not half bad either. Shots 5 and 6 are my favorite.

Hello My Joystick is 20 years old so thought it might be time for an upgrade. Please could someone recommend a Joystick for FS2020 which is fully supported by the sim including throttle control? My budget would be up to £60. Thanks for your advice.

If this is true, then people have wasted their money buying the premium versions, if the devs cant get it right. In KSEA, there are N11 & N10 gates, but they don't exist in the Navigaph charts. Which is correct?

So, I thought it was my brain playing tricks on me at 4am, but no, ATC sometimes has a VERY strong accent, similar to indian or something like that, but with strong R, it was speaking thirthytree like theeRRRty TRRee and so on. Can't explain in words but if you hear it, you'll notice it. Was flying around Puerto Rico and BVI What was that? Also at times it selected ATIS automatically and couldn't change frequency.

As much as I anticipate quality add on aircraft and airport sceneries it is important to point out that A2A, Milviz, Carenado, Alabeo will not gain my MSFS related purchases until a) there is user friendly capability to customize aircraft configuration files; b) effective partnering with add on avionics developers like RXP; and in regard to add on airports a much improved and more complete modeling of autopilots in the sim. I do a good deal of IFR flying and with the shortcomings of MSFS being what they clearly are, I am sightseeing in MSFS and doing my serious flying back in FSX SE. I just built a new MSFS focused system and immediately found I needed to get back to…
