Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hey Gang! Anybody notice that AVSIM is not publishing MSFS files in the AVSIM library? Everything is P3D or FSX but nothing on MSFS in spite of the fact there are plenty of files out there. Anyone know what's going on?

I have looked through the forum, could not find a reference. Anyway to eliminate the copilot in the aircraft that shows in the external view? It seems like adjusting the CoPilot weight to 0 does nothing. Just curious, this could be baked into the sim and not changeable. Thanks

This is the next step up from the various tweaks I'd previously released allowing pilots to control G1000 brightness with hardware knobs in their cockpits, and possibly the first in a series of improvements to the stock G1000. I figured, rather than work around the absence of software dimming in the sim, why not just add that feature to the display itself? That's what this is. Each panel is now individually dimmable from within a semi-realistic PFD configuration menu. Hi there, after many hours of practicing i switched from Cessna 152 to 172. Currently i'm facing the issue of shutting down instruments (displays / Garmin) after a couple of minutes. Is this a feature (screensaver ;-)), a known bug or a low-skill-pilots mistake? (did a quick search, found nothing matching). Cheers Michael.

I have been using the ai plane to fly by itself from airport to airport which for the most part works. The problem is that the propeller and learjets can land with no problem and taxi to the gate but airliners never do. They take off correctly but when they reach the destination they just circle until they crash. The landing gear comes down and everything looks correct but then it turns and crashes into the ground. I also open up the ATC window and the tower has given permission to land but it never does. Not sure if it's a flight model problem or I have something set wrong in the settings. Has anyone had this problem? Thank you.

Hello, Currently I am experiencing that (unfortunately) flying in/out my hometown can be a very laggy thing. When I proceed to the next bigger city which is quite large with over a million people everything is smooth. Returning back to my home base which is a city of around 500.000 it starts to lag again. Did anyone else experience something like that? Or has anyone an idea of what might cause this? Best regards

I saw a few glowing reviews of this airport, so I pulled the trigger.. What in the? I get the "It's a flight simulator, not a ground simulator" but this is an airport where most of your time is spent either on the ground or at low altitude.. I can forgive the poor ground imagery supplied to them, but I can't forgive the zero effort give to correct the numerous elevation issues. If common folk can fix 300+ miles of the Missouri river elevation issues surely a payware developer can deal with these unsightly deformities. Pretty much everything outside the main terminal is rubbish.

Hey, Starting to have some fun with the a320 after few hours of learning the basics, Still have 2 or 3 questions if I can ask Question 1 : How do I know the remaining distance and time in this plane ? Quite annoying to see only one leg at a time without knowing the Total, in the Garmin gns530 its quite very easy 😛 Question 2(and3) : After crossing a cloud I have a lot of ice on the plane is that normal ? and when should I correctly use the Wing/eng1/eng2 anti ice button ? and the Probes windows heat ? thanks a lot

Hi,Does anyone know if the HUD is operational in FS2020 aircraft equipped with it? (Citation Latitude and the B-787).I noticed that on the Latitude, the buttons are there, but when pressed, nothing happens, and I can't find any assignment for the HUD on any of the assignments pages. Thanks.

I was on a flight in the 747, ATC gave me FL440, started to climb from FL300, at FL380 it was impossible to climb or descend anymore, the plane just kept floating up and down from FL280 to FL 380, tried to disable AP and fly manually, same thing, floating up and down. I think the physics bugged themselves pretty badly, had to quit the flight. Did anybody else had this issue?

Firstly, I took off to find the beautiful turquoise water / reefs in the Bahamas, which are quite scarce I hear. I took off from Nassau, Lynden Pindling International Airport (MYNN), then you have to fly due east towards Rose Island. I saw the reefs / shallow water, and although there was a bit of a colour change, I wasn't too impressed. Then I realised I had 'scattered clouds' set and it was quite dull. When I picked 'few clouds' - Wow! The colours suddenly came to life and jumped out at me - beautiful! And even more vivid with the 'clear sky's' setting. Hey everyone, Maybe a noob question but I am learning to fly with a liner Is there a way with the a320 to expedite descent ? For example ATC asked me to descent from 16000 to 9000, I change the AP altitude and push the button to engage, the plane started to descend but very slowy even if I manually set a VS to 2000 it keep descending very slowly which result in an angry ATC asking me every time to expedite the descent Thanks for your help 🙂

Hi, whenever I look i see topics related to that mysterious (for me) Simconnect. I know this is a dll library that somehow connects MSFS with third-party addons. What I'd like to know is if this simconnect (recently fixed for stuttering issue, as I have read) needs to be downloaded & installed somehow? Or is it a part of MSFS? How to use it? Is it used automatically? On the drive I installed MSFS I can see the simconnect.dll file, so it must have been copied there by MSFS itself or something else (but I don't have any addons yet). So, what should I do in relation to that simconnect, if I want to use say fseconomy or other external addon? Thank you!

Come on developers give us something!anything to fly. The canned Microsoft planes are pretty much a joke when we are used to planes like A2A, milviz! PMDG, Leonardo MadDog HotStart and many others. PLEASE come up with something soon. Please.

Finally after 3 weeks of GA trying the A320. Coming from the Fslabs there are obviously differences but all I want at this point is advice how to set my controls as close as possible to the Fslabs. For GA I set sensitivity to the minimum. In the A320 its not working good. Anyone advice how to make the A320 flyable ?
