Tonight I unplugged the SATA 1 with Win 10 with MSFS 2020 and re-plugged the SATA 4 with Win 7 & with P3D. . , To compare and contrast between the two Flight Simulators. There is no comparison - its like comparing - the incomparable. Discuss. . .

Anyone noticed terrain shadows disappear and reappear when panning in the cockpit ?

Why are there no liveries on the planes parked at the Airport and Gates ? (in Europe for me) Do we have to wait for an add-on ?

Our Digital Dakota Works team has just seen a new variant of it, a quick and decidedly dirty MSFS2020 portover of our popular freeware C-47. As was to be expected, the thing is largely dysfunctional in MSFS, causes CTD’s, and generally looks and flies terrible. Still, the downloads go into thousands. Does anyone know if there's a way to quick save using a keyboard shortcut, or better yet an autosave? Haven't seen either discussed on here. I'm still paranoid about CTDs due to bad experiences in the past with FSX and P3D. In MSFS I save periodically but have to hit Esc, Space, Save, Save the file, exit, return to flight. Too many steps. Thankfully MSFS hasnt randomly crashed (knocks on wood hard) but I can't stand losing my flight due to an errant CTD and having to start all over again.

I cant see a speed setting for the drone camera in the options. Instead, I have to adjust the speed every time i use it in the camera options in the quick menu. It's set to absolute minimum by default. Anyone know how to fix this?

Since MSFS 2020 was released, I have been using my old PC (i7 2600, gtx 980ti). However, I just finished building a new computer with all the latest trimmings. I mirrored my old ssd to a new ssd m.3. Everything loads up perfectly. But, whenever I try to load msfs2020, I get this message:"Microsoft Flight Sim is not available in your account, error code Ox3f8001? I can not find a customer service phone or email to ask for help. Any suggestions will do--Help help.

I apologize in advance for posting so many questions. I do search for these things, but so far there isn't much out there in regards to answers, at least not anything that has been spidered by Google yet. Anyway, to my question - how do I turn off this terribly annoying "You have lost your Internet connection" warning that pops up right in the middle of my screen at the worst possible times? Nothing is more annoying than lining up for a landing, only to have my view blocked by this warning. Yes, I know Microsoft, my Internet connection is sporadic at times, but you don't need to blind me with this warning. It's not like my computer is going to burst into flames or anythin…

I managed to get FS2020 installed on my computer and now trying to finish the install and get it up and running. However my computer seems frozen on the "WELCOME, SET YOUR EXPERIENCE" screen. I get the background image but where you are supposed to have options its all gray and blurred out. Hard drive sounds like working but after letting it sit for 30 minutes nothing happens. My computer is dated but barely makes the minimum specs. I am not expecting a lightning quick experience but I thought it would run at least barely on minimum settings!

Does your Marketplace display only USD, or does it convert to your local currency equivalent? It only displays USD for me and not in my case CAD (Canadian Dollar). Not complaining just want to make sure I don't have something incorrectly setup in the store or Xbox app. Thanks J

Hello! Is it possible to set the HDG bug in single degrees? I am only able to set it in 5 degrees chunks? This in the 152 and 172 so far.

Is there any "behind the scenes" way to customize traffic tags? Perhaps some missing entry in the .cfg or .opt files... I do like seeing who I am sharing immediate airspace with, but traffic tags tend to pop up for planes over the horizon or otherwise not visible, cluttering my view. Is there a way to set a maximum range for when tags are visible? An alternative would be to bind a key to the tags, so I could quickly toggle them on and off. Unfortunately I don't see an option for this either.

Hi, I have FSX running pretty nicely now on my PC, however the planes in FS2020 are utterly uncontrollable. It's nearly impossible to keep them on the runway never mind take off without crashing. They just shoot off in random directions and flip over and crash if they get airborne at all. I also have the same problem with P3D. I would have thought lots of people run more than one flight sim on their PC, but unless I am doing something wrong with both FS2020 and P3D v5, it seems the only one where I can have controllable aircraft is FSX. That was the first flight sim on my PC. Is this normal, or could anyone point me in the right direction for a solution? I …

the so called porthole views listed in cameras.cfg of each airliner is the key... but no clue anyone has tried repositioning the viewpoint better with these parameters

As Community folder getting crowded everyday more and more, we need to organize the liveries, sceneries, etc. in folders , in order to control them. Does anyone have an idea about what to do ? How can we sort them into categories ? ( I am not sure if it works by making category folders an putting each in the related folder. I think, every addon needs to be directly under the Community folder ? ) (I am not asking to use ModMan or something similar .) Thanks for ideas.

Hi! All of the sudden the weather cloud in the menu has dissapeared... when I go to the custom toolbar the weather settings are grey. I cannot find any way of changing the weather, has anyone any idea what I have done?:)

Just saw on their forum they will be releasing a brand new version of proatc x for msfs. Does sound like it will be anytime soon though.

K2 is the tallest mountain in Pakistan and the second tallest in the world. MSFS did not do it justice like many other mountains that have sharp features. Hopefully it can be fixed as part of the main scenery update at some point.

Downloaded the latest vpilot. The changelog indicated that it is now set to look for msfs registry entries. When I connect with it, MSFS lags all over the place. Unusable. Spad.next for my logitech g pro panels (saitek) works, but does the same thing - MSFS lags all over the place. Stutters, poor fps. Unusable.

I no longer have a menu that pops up at the top of the screen when the mouse gets in range. Although I prefer this, I would like to know how I disabled it. I can't seem to find the relevant setting. Thx, Al
