Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi All In P3D we were able to have multiple Graphics 'set ups'. So in addition to the default set up one could set up different settings according to what/where one was going to fly and select the appropriate one for each flight. For example I had one scenario which applied the ORBX recommended settings. Is this possible in the new sim ?

I seem to only be able to add waytpoints. Is there a way to add airways?

At least twice now, my steam gauges have frozen in flight--airspeed, altitude, HSI, VSI etc. But still moving on the GPS. Anybody else seen this, and know how to fix it? I am not using the dynamic pause. Think I'm tired of this C172 steamer... gonna try the G1000. It can't be any more troublesome than this thing. It's the word not allowed autopilot. Done with this plane for now.

You can place the exe wherever, and drag-and-drop layout.json files onto it to update them. It will iterate through every file in the same folder and subfolders of the layout.json, and write the necessary data to the file. Hopefully this will be useful to livery artists who are currently adding each file entry by hand.

I see this comment, or similar comments all around this forum, on how this product was put out to soon, was rushed, etc, etc, etc. Um.....I don't think so. It's my understanding that alpha and beta testers were invited in, but, once the game was released, they still had to purchase it like the rest of us. Therefore, they got to play with the early versions of the sim for free before putting out the cash. They dealt with all of the bugs and problems while the rest of us drooled at the youtube video's wishing we could get in on the action. Similar to the community project on the A320, over at github. FMC now has a Decent Forecast. MFD Door page, Gear page, Status page and Elec Synoptic page are now working, no longer INOP. My understanding from all info in the last days is that MSFS2020 does not support multi-screens in the first planned release next year. What does this mean for the users: 1. Not possible to view both internal(cockpit view) and external(spot/chase view) at the same time. 2. Not possible to undock any displays or panels to make a "home cockpit" using other monitors. Am I right or wrong in my assumptions or have I misunderstood the information?

Hello, New FS 2020 user, I have just ordered a joystick and I'm discovering this software. How do you record videos from your flights ? do you use an external program that records what the screen displays, or is there a Fs2020 buld in option ? Hi, so, I have this issue when rotating autopilot knobs using the mouse wheel. This started happening in the middle of a flight and doesn't go away even with restarting the entire PC. This only applies to certain knobs, but usually at least heading selection in most planes, sometimes altitude too. The rate of change is now 10x of what it used to be, ie. heading changes 10 degrees with each step of the mouse wheel, altitude changes 1000ft. By clicking the knobs I can increment it at smaller steps, but that's a little inconvenient sometimes. If anyone is able to give any suggestions as to why this is happening, I'll be forever grateful. I don't see an option in the controls for just a single throttle axis. It wants throttle 1,2,3 and 4 so I set my throttle up for 1 and 2 axis. When I go into game and start to move my throttles is sticks in reverse thrust and doesn't start to move out of reverse until about my throttle moved 25% up. Then it starts bouncing back and forth and doesn't smooth out until I have pushed my throttles about 75%. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Man loving all this New stuff to buy for MSFS. Even a lot of this freeware is amazing. No stopping this train of Flight Sim , rip X-plan,pd3. Bet with-in a year , after xbox hits. MSFS 2020 will the be the top FS of all time.

I am sure its simply but I have not been able to figure out how to display the framerate. Is there a better way, overlay with Nvidia Experience so you can also see GPU load?

I saw this as I was pulling into general parking at KCMO with real weather turned on. Rainbows Freaking rainbows. And not some cheezy attempt to paste a rainbow. This looks authentic, it looks organic. Amazing. When this sim is firing on all cylinders it boggles the mind.

Hi guys, Now with the add ons airfields and airports growing up in quantity, it would be nice to have them identified with a star in the global map (menu). There is any way to do this, so we can track them easily? Thank you

Hello, As the title says... If my observation is right, the TBM does not have a beacon in a traditional way. When i use the Autochecklist to power everything up there are Red lights flashing on the wingtips which are replaced by the strobes when they get switched on. Do these red "beacons" have an own switch? Are they operated automatically? I just landed at night and after i turned off the strobes i had no beacon flashing. Only Navlights and Taxi lights. How to i operate those beacon? I haven't found a switch for them. I learned to taxi with the beacons on and only use strobes while crossing/lining up a runway. But i am also tought i need a working beacon …

I've not figured it out yet but it sure would be nice to have a keypress programmed for this pretty desirable routine. Thanks in advance

85% of the time the Live WX doesn't load any WX. Doesn't seem to matter what time of day or where I am flying. I have tried different servers and nothing seems to help. Any ideas? Regards
