Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I can't seem to find a link to download the SDK, does anyone know where to get it?

Wonder if possible to by pass start up Dev movies - that alone takes a minute in half - another minute in half after hit any key to start which is fine but Dev movies I can do with out - just a thought

I have purchased FS2020 Prem Deluxe and wish to set it up so that both my Daughter and I can fly using different user accounts on the Same desktop PC. The trouble is when she is logged in to her account she cannot access some of the files needed to run the app and I cannot see a way to allow her to create her own profile to run the app. surewly it does not require a second purchase install of duplicate files to run it for her and I. Do I need to link our Microsoft Accounts or is some other magic required?

Anyone else having issues around Heathrow or other detailed airports. I get micro stutters, long stutters, loss of framerate and had a CTD which sucked since the sim takes about 10 minutes to load. I have an I7 10700K, nvidia 2070 8gb, and 16gb ram. I have windows on background services and v-sync off with my graphics card locked to 45 fps. The sim runs beautifully in most areas but Heathrow seems to eat it up!

Where have you guys found fauna at? I have yet to see anything other than urban and airport "fauna" (cars, workers, etc.) i.e. none of the actual stuff. Was flying out of Alice Springs last night and it was have been cool to see kangaroos or something. Flew from Capetown to Johannesburg the other night and again saw nothing (had the drone out and going along the ground a few times while in flight). Do you need to actually be low & slow in the plane itself? I.e. maybe it didn't spawn due to being in the drone away from the plane at cruise altitude? edit: I've even turned on the Fauna markers in the UI and have yet to see one of those either.

Have you noticed the powerful lightbeam from the top of the Airbus cabin into space at night. I guess its one more on the todo list for Asobo.

Hi all In my Options menu the HDR setting is greyed out but in the UserCfg.opt I have HDR10 1. I am still using a SDR monitor and HDR is not selectable in Win 10 but in the game I sometimes have the unreal effect that when the view is mainly out the cockpit windows the instrument panel is very dark and when looking in, the world view becomes incredibly bright. Is this a HDR effect on my non HDR monitor or are Asobo trying to reflect "the real world" in which case it is pretty extreme. I have tried changing the HDR10 setting to 0 but it always resets to 1. Is there another way to ensure HDR is off or does the fact that it is greyed out in the options me…

No sure if some calibration involved but has anyone managed to see some definitive clouds shadows ? Especially with low alt CB's. I am not sure if its due to clouds themselves never got sharp edges or they simply too faint. Would love to see someone bring the Constellation to the sim. Flying low and relativity fast dodging weather and ice. That plane would really use the strong points of the sim. I have my wallet out....come on A2A.

Is it just me, or does the C172 feel a tad underpowered? When doing a normal, no flap takeoff, it feels like the aircraft struggles to maintain an airspeed above 60 knots. This is with the plane almost level to the horizon, near sea level, so lean mixture isn't really needed.

This very well could of been asked before. Is there a way to have ATC in my headset, and all other sounds coming from my speakers?

Hello, I have set my joystick "trigger" to be the main button for my brakes. However, clicking it does nothing. the only way to disble the brakes is to hit rSHIFT+. (period). Separately, is there anyway to make it so my hat switch at the top of my joystick can control the look around? I do not like using my mouse to move my field of view around. Are there any good ones to fly and navigate on Vatsim or Pilotedge without using extra moving maps or other outside apps? Including those being fixed by community? Thanks.

Is anyone else having Marketplace issues with failed downloads/upgrades? It took me 5 times to download the small KDEN update that was posted. And at least that many times to download the Orbx update. The freeware airport from Aerofly? Forget it. Package fails almost immediately (Thankfully I got that from Aerofly directly earlier and can use it in the Community folder, but the one available from Marketplace appears to error out. Is this an issue with the Marketplace being overrun? My connectivity to the internet on my end seems fine, so I don't think it's that. But if no one else is having issues in the Marketplace on with updating via content manager, then I…

Having trouble keeping the mixture valve in position in most all my normally aspirated aircraft, including the new Carenado C182. The valve keeps shutting and won't stay in place. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or is this a bug? Thanks, John

After a successful but long install (12hrs) the sim is running fine but I have ground to a crawl setting up my Saitek X-55 stick and throttles. I noticed in a folder (called inputs) where only the X-56 is catered for. I plan to offer my profile to others when I finish. I have slowly progressed to a point now that I have the joystick controlling Ailerons and Elevators, pause, parking brakes, Auto pilot on/off. The Throttles are now working for two engines, Flaps, Elevator trims, Landing Gear, Reverse thrust and Heading up/down switches so I don’t have to use the knob inside the flight deck to adjust heading. Hi All! I am trying to make a purchase through the marketplace for the first time. When I go to buy i am unable to complete the payment form as I am unable to change the billing country from US, is is greyed out and does not allow me to change it to my billing country. Any ideas? THanks!

Save/Load Issue Hi fellow virtual pilots. I love this new simulator, but I have a major issue. Everything is working fine except the save and load game option. When I save a game after having landed, sometime a save work and other time when I load a save FS crash. This is somewhat important for me because what I do since FSX is a trip around the world. I started back then at Montréal and was then in Kazakhstan. I wanted to continue my flight. Being unable to have this feature is a no go. I know I could just start each time with a fresh departure where a have previously landed the last sess…

Is there a way to turn off ALL traffic whether it is online players or AI during a flight? All of this traffic is bringing me to a halt and I can't stand seeing those bog boxes in front of me with the usernames. I thought I went into the menu and turned traffic off but I still see them Also, can you disable the default ATC?

Did the candy machine get stuck?

I am trying to program the cirrus MFD with a flight plan and am noticing that not every intersection is something that can be programmed in. So far I am about 50% with the intersection being in the database of the built in MFD and being able to use it as a leg of my plan. Is this how it is or is the database of the default planes sorely lacking with regard to reality?

Hello, You can hide the cursor of your mouse automatically : just install AutoHideMouseCursor. 5" minimum setting, 10" is ok for me. Just move your mouse : cursor will be dispayed again .. and disappear again after mouse inactivity period ! Useful for my videos ! Hope this will help someone !

When the game is released on xbox, do i own the game too, if i have bought the PC edition? Alex.

Sometimes i see strange rock formations, sometimes pillar like when at an airport or when flying closer to the ground. Does anyone know what is causing it? Its almost like the scenery did not completely load or something. Thanks
