Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Does such a thing exist?. I have butchered my X52 Joystick to represent a full length central stick as in aircraft like a cub, but in the process have lost all the switches on it including the hat. Does anyone do a usb hat switch?, or alternatively would getting one of those game console type controllers and plugging that in as well give me a hat switch function in FS 2020? FS2020 doesnt give me the option to map the view movement to anything else at all.

Will FS2020 support Chaseplane?

Not sure why but that's what they look like, Most bridges are like that but not all. I would like to know if my desktop specs are good enough for MSFS 2020 please. My CPU is Inter [email protected] and my video card is the NVIDIA GeForce GT 730. I have 16GB RAM When I load the simulator I get a notice saying that "Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements as a result you may experience errors during the game" The simulator crashes to desktop during loading. So with that clickbait title, I hope you could help me figure out if I should cancel my order for a new processor or not. I am currently on a i7-6770k @4.4 with ht on (watercooled). It has served me well over the years, but Im wondering if maybe my 4 cores are lagging behind. I have a rtx 2080ti rog strix from Asus, and 32 gig of ddr4. I have a i9-10900k that can boost up to 5.3ghz in order, but it wont arrive at the store untill 6th of september. Hi all, after hours of flying with little birds in VFR to enjoy the nice scenery, today was my first try with the A320 and an IFR flight (short trip of 20 mins). I was flying from EDRZ (Zweibrücken, Germany) to LFSB (Basel, France/Switzerland), alt was 25.000 ft. Start fine, Cruise fine. After a while, the ATC was giving me new altitude orders. I was descending from 25.000 to 11.000, everything ok. My course was still the planned one, which was leading from the west to Basel Airport to runway 08 (very short GA runway), normally the airliners come from north to runway 15 ( i just took what the flight planner proposed to try it out). Hi, maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Only started using it today. I took off from KAPA in Denver, wanting to go direct to KFLY outside Colorado Springs. -Hit the Direct To button -Use the knobs to input KFLY -Hit Enter to accept Now it says "Activate?" and I believe you're supposed to hit Enter again to do that. But nothing happens. I have nav set to GPS. What am I doing wrong??

Noticed tonight flying from Madrid to Heathrow that some updates must be getting done as we speak. I flew from Madrid to Heathrow with a A320N, and the route took me over the Bay of Biscay at 39k, and i noticed the wind was increasing at first a 20-30 kt head wind, then increasing to 45 -57 kts with a fair bit of turbulance.Until now that would have just sat at around 3kts where ever you were, so good to see MS and Asobo must really be putting the work in at the moment.

The copilot in MSFS needs to take flying lessons....The last two times the copilot landed the plane (Citation Jet), it missed the runway and crashed....

Particularly, my Graphics settings. I'd like to be able to quickly restore settings if I alter them for a screen shot or experimentation. Preferable while in a flight. Saves writing them out (and invariably missing one when manually restoring). Is there an option to do this?

I have been away from flight simming for a couple of years, but with the release and the great bargain on xbox live, I dove back in. I also upgraded for comparison sake to P3DV5 and Xplane 11.5 with Vulkan/Metal API. My rig is a pretty good one with lots of memory and an i7/ RTX2070 roughly 2 years old. The videos posted of MSFS were astonishing and I can confirm in some places, VFR flight was truly that, you could follow roads, water towers etc, just like I was taught in the pre-GPS days. Flight models are mediocre and I find the controllers difficult to configure, and views, annoying to set up. Weather is worse than non-existent, making IFR approaches impossible even…

I've got the full set of CH Pro controls (pedals, fighterstick and throttle) and these are "recognised" but greyed out in the the Controls section with MSFS. I guess they're not supported? I know they're not in the Peripherals Compatability list on the MFS site but the site seems to imply that other unlisted controllers should be usable, just need a bit more setting up. But I can't see any way of assigning anything to these controllers. Anybody else got these and got them working? At this point I've no idea how good the sim is - can't fly the **** thing!

I am having issues with the TBM 930 Auto Pilot randomly disengaging. I never had issues with any AP function in FSX A/C? Perhaps not as realistic as the TBM 930? Am I missing something? Also I think the developers have over used the mouse wheel. I need to change the zoom to some other key. When your using the VS wheel to adjust Vertical Speed for example and you move it slightly to the left or right you sometimes go into zoom / reduce panel mode. Thanks!

MS have pulled really a fine product with MSFS 2020, no doubt. But seeing so many users trying avidly to import competitors data into their high-tech scenery solution must feel bad. Do you see MS reacting proactively and trying to catch up with photogrammetry data with Google saving the face from "competitor infiltration" or just sitting idly watching the flightsim product being enhanced no matter what the source is. How is this going to play out? Would upgrading their data have anything to do FS (pun: face saving)?

Been having no issues with my controllers until now! The sensitivity of the joystick when taking it to the right is now not showing its axis movement. Overall all aircraft have lost stability! Any ideas please? This is strange, as they have worked from plug in and play with no attention required. Thanks Martin

Hello all, Re-installed for the 3rd time, this time through the ms store, not used my disks. Updated everything. But when I set up a flight and press " Fly " nothing happens. No loading screen , no activity etc.So when I leftclick on" fly" the button changes color shortly but that's it.. Strange thing is that I can fly the Courchevel challenge and that works fine. Anybody an idea what might be the problem ? Btw, I installed on my F drive. Which has MSFS2020 folder ( I created ), Program Files, WindowsApps and WpSystem. In msfs2020 folder there is Community and Official. Is Community folder supposed to be empty ? Hope someone can …

Hi. When I fly the Cessna 172, G1000 version, I don't really notice a visual alert on the G1000 screen when the plane crosses one of the outer/middle/inner beacons. Is there a visual alert somewhere on the G1000 screen? Is there a visual alert somewhere else in the cockpit? (is there even an audio alert when you cross the outer/middle/inner beacon for the Cessna 172, G1000 version?)

I'm confident there will be an outstanding one eventually, but if anyone can point me toward a decent one now for use is MSFS 2020, I would be in your debt. The reason is I am using an old copy of the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X For Pilots" book by Jeff van West et. al. which, as Paladin2005 points out, is still the best book for virtual aviation. And its early chapters use the J-3 Cub, so it would be nice to read along with that plane open. Not a huge deal, but on a lark I thought I would reach out to the community. Thanks in advance.

Is it just me or landing lights on the GA planes doing nothing ?? I cant see 3 meters fwd

just tried a couple flights with the G36 and was unable to climb above 4500 ft without stalling. gear up. flaps up. full power. 60% fuel. Am i missing something?

Hi, I've got a wrong texture in taxiways in various airports. Some parts of the taxiways are brilliant magenta. Anybody has experimented something like this? I've changed all graphic parametres, but the magenta patches are there! Help badly needed and very appreciated! John

I've noticed that my 1920x1080 2nd screen doesn't play youtube well at all when im out flying in MSFS. The video lags, the sound isnt syncing with the video etc. For it to become fluid I need to go to like 360p... I'm running a 2080TI rog strix from Asus that is overclocked. My cpu is a i7-6700k at 4.4ghz (oc with ht on). Anyone else experiencing this problem? I can also mention that both my main monitor (3440x1440 ultrawide) and my 2nd monitor uses the displayports on the gfx card. Im on a 500mbps fiber line, and the bandwith is fine.
