Good morning, Can someone enlighten me about the recommended Bandwidth setting? I have a 500Mbit connection and i read different opinions about limiting it to 40 or even 20Mbit in the game to get better performance. Thanks in advance!

Hi there In the constant search for better performance, I came across a video of someone improving performance by popping out the main MFD in the TBM. I have no real need to pop out the displays but because I'm a sucker for performance tricks, I thought I would try it. As soon as I moved the mouse over the display, hit "alt" and moved the display... my FPS tanked instantly "tanked" from around 55fps to 8fps and started stuttering almost to a stop. My fps osd (evga) also started showing crazy numbers like 33456 fps then 8 then 27045 then 33480 then 9 and so on. As soon as I closed the popout screen, everything went back to normal immediately. 55fps and steady....…

I'm wondering if this is just me but I find reading the taxiway signs as I canter past at say anything between 5 -15 kts ground speed incredibly difficult, they seem to give off a really bright yellow bloom effect and its difficult to see the letters unless I literally stop the aircraft and zoom in? Or I am just going blind in my old age??

Hi. Tried to get into modding. Turns out MSFS 2020 doesn't wanna be modified at all. Here's what I see: 1. Install folder is in my E drive. In this drive I can modify / create / delete anything. 2. The Microsoft.FlightSimulator folder has some wild permissions. I can't do anything here and I can't recognize this random permission account it says I'm using. All other users (Administrators, Users, SYSTEM, etc) have full access. 3. If I try to move a folder into MSFS's folder, I get this BS error: 4. If I try and make a folder or modify anything, I get this error: I dunno where to go from here. Should I just do a complete uninstall / wipe of everything…

Well the title is probably a bit of an exaggeration but it felt extremely good none the less. This was my first ever A320neo landing and I nailed it!! So the story which I thought might be of interest as I have only had MSFS from the day of release and my prior sim experience to the last couple of week was F19 Stealth Fighter from Micropose 30 years ago. I am quite technical and have watched a few of the you tube videos of folks flying the A320. So first of all I had picked up that Simbrief was an excellent way to prepare a flight plan. Can anybody explain how to bind TM warthog controls that aren't listed in the MSFS TM Throttle and Stick controls diagram. There are a fair view controls (switches/button etc.) without a given number indicator in the MSFS TM throttle and stick controls which I would like to use. I would also like to map my TrackIR controls (F11& F12 in my case) to the MSFS Warthog either throttle or stick. Has anybody tried using the TM Target software with MSFS? It would be nice to use the I/O capability of the Target software to double up the Button/Switch functions using the I/O capability in MSFS.

For some reason I can't get the planes to trim properly. Am I missing a setting? I have trim adjusted to neutral, I'll be flying then the nose keeps sinking, I have to PULLLLL back to bring it back up, adjust the trim and it stays for a few minutes, then starts to dive again. Its just not stable. Any ideas?

There’s a big problem with the Missouri River north of the city. With most looking at scenery I guess no one caught this.

I can't adjust the fuel mixture. If I barely touch the fuel mixture the engine immediately stops and I can't restart it. It must be the control mapping, I guess. I have the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant. Anybody having a similar problem?

Hi All, In our Family we have two high end PC's. The last one was build last week special for FS2020. Even on this high end PC with high FPS (60-80) it's still stuttering. I have read many articles about this and tried it all. But still the microstutter is there even when there is no full GPU or CPU load and very fast internet connection. Is there anyone who REALLY fixed the microstutters??? If so how??

So does anyone know why my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, rudder pedals, and throttles don't work in the sim at all? They used to when i first installed the sim, but when i went to get into it today, NOTHING 😞 I have uninstalled the sim and reinstalled it and still nothing. I can't get anyone from Microsoft or Steam to help me with this. Everyone says i have to come here to have someone know what to do to fix my problem. I don't really like this really. I feel if i spend $120.00 for a sim, i should be able to talk to someone over the phone to help get this working. I'm seriously thinking of going back to FSX Steam. RL piston GA pilots: Have you ever, ever, EVER had a tug driver waiting patiently in front of your C172 or comparable, just itching to pull you anywhere you want to go? Yeah, me neither. I have installed several FPS fixes and TBMG3000 Fix into the community folder. But whenever I try to move those folders out, it gives me some error saying that I am not allowed to do that. The only thing I can do is delete those folders into the trash. I wanted to move the folders to another location for backup purposes. Anyone else getting this as well and know how to fix it so that I can move stuff out of the MSFS Community folder?

I hope I can explain this. I have been running FS2020 without a hitch. I do have dual monitors with a lot of desktop items on each monitor. Dell monitor and a LG second monitor. AMD RX580 Running 1920X1080 75hz on both. Operating Ryzen 7 16gb Memory 8 graphics. On my Primary Dell screen one of my desktop items is the FS2020 icon to start the game. Great has always worked. Opens on the Primary Monitor and I play the game. Until recently....maybe an update? I dont know. I click on the icon.....everything goes crazy!!!! Hey, From what I can tell and with my addons - looks like everything is in the community folder. Orbx does it better just symlinks it. Thank God, finally all the addons are outside the darn sim root directory. I still hope addon developers for P3D will learn external installations cuz some of them are just flat out lazy to change installers (Some major scenery guys and plane makers still do not learn - those sceneries guys will not get any more $$$ from me) I am glad MSFS2020 Team has taken a solid approach to this and I guarantee you guys that making backups will be easy to manage especially when sim updates happen etc. Cheers to the new addon system. …

Up until now, I have always had a separate SSD for my P3D with the OS staying on it's own SSD. Is it still the way to go with 2020 to have the sim on a separate drive to the OS? Is this the protocol that others are following?

In FSX/P3D I've always used the taxi ribbon if I'm in an unfamiliar airport as I don't use charts, and I often set flights up for dawn or dusk, when it's nigh to impossible to find the runway apron w/o a taxi ribbon. Sometimes in P3D I could use the top-down view to see where I am at in the airport and to see which taxiways will work to get me there. I was so hoping the taxi ribbon in MSFS was going to be if anything, MORE discreet, more subtle, but instead it's a heinous, huge, bright blue color. Just curious, I downloaded Aerosoft’s free Paderborn Airport scenery. I notice that it come packaged as an automated installer. Does this installer simply create a folder in the Community Folder of MSFS or does it hook in deeper?

I ditched my other plans and started a flight from RKPC Jeju Intl, an island off the coast of Korea, not far from the storm centre. The intro screen greeted me with some promising wind info: During the takeoff run I quickly realized that the wind could not have been 40 kts. Given the present state of the SDK in MSFS, I wonder what people's estimate as to how long it will be before the first fully functional, quality addon aircraft for the sim. I'm thinking about something on the order of Realair quality--where systems functionality is paired with a first rate flight model in a single engine prop plane.
