A broad question... I included ILS as it's the only one I know. Instrument Landing System. Keep the purple vertical and horizontal diamonds in the middle on final approach 🙂 But what's the rest of this? What's this for? I guess I know NDB (No directional beacon) but don't really understand that either. Is someone willing to explain it all or is there a simple Sim version?

Just discovered that there are a few liveries for the Classic 6 Pack C172. They are available from the individual livery downloads page.

Anyone else feel that the interior lighting needs some serious work? I have not flown at night so I won't comment but in daylight it is sometimes very difficult to see. This is with bloom on or off. Using the panel lighting during the day has little or no effect at all. I know there's a "flashlight" mode but haven't a clue how to use it. Some undocumented ( for me) key command. The overall lighting looks very good. Vic

Hi 🙂 Does anyone else use the latest Flybywire mod for the A320 and have the same issue with it banking left on short final/just before touchdown..? For me it happens on every landing where the airbus does a left bank just before touching the ground.... Anyone know of a fix?

So I climbed into the cockpit of the 350 for the first time today for some study time and came away confused. What is the avionics set? Does not appear to be a G3000 or a G1000 set. I see that it is a touch screen. Learned my way around, somewhat. One aspect I grew frustrated with is that COM on both the PFD and MFD is COM1. I can find the way to tune COM2 via the flight plan menu, and Can turn on COM2 with it's button. However I am unable to find how to make COM2 the COM that appears on the either PFD or MFD. And I can find no way to listen only to COM2. The COM1 cannot be extinguished. Am I missing something? Also noted the keyboard on the console is m…

After more than a month after purchasing through the Microsoft store, MSFS2020 suddenly asks for a disc when starting up ..... The Microsoft store clearly states that I own the product and this is the first time MSFS2020 has asked for it. I have logged out of my microsoft account and logged in again but no result. Anyone any idea how to fix this?

Hello, Maybe it's the patch or maybe it's me.... Airbus 320N loaded flightplan as usual Tried 2 airports today. EHAM ILS 18C LFPG ILS 08R On finals all seems good. But the Glideslope and de LOC is not captured. It seems it's capturing both the Glideslope and LOC but it's not holding it at all. Did these flights many times. No idea what is going on or what I am doing wrong since today. Anyone seeing his behaviour ? Also sometimes when decending with the autopilot from (example) 18000 feet to 10000 it's starts decending as you would expect but it just stops around 14000 by itself while 10000 is still active in the autopilot.

So I purchased and received my HC yoke, but ran into the ever so familiar 10 degree setting bug. Also felt that I was getting CTDs because of the switch bindings. The problem I'm having is that I'm somewhat confused as to the answer, or if there is even an an answer. I know some threads have mentioned using FSUPIC as a solution, and then adding a LUA script for buttons above 32 I think. So I downloaded FPUPIC but am really unsure as to how it works, or how I should go about reassigning these switches on the honeycomb. Today approach on EBBR and EHAM. Both where capturing the ILS perfectly !!!! But both where not able to hold the LOC at all.... Any Idea ? Also when the autopilot altitude is set for example on 6000 and I am flying 10.000 and after I have engaged selected altitude mode it's starts decending. But may times it's stops decending halfway. I have to engage selected altidtude again to continue desending. Any idea what I do wrong ?

Straight and level flight with ap on, everything is great. Then out of nowhere, the plane banks heavily to the left with AP on. The AP announciator is on on the pfd. This is the 2nd time it happened to me today with just a couple of hours inbetween. Last time I had to pause the game while doing something and when I came back and unpaused it, the plane immidately went into a steep left bank and dive. update: Recycling the avionics seems to have helped. If I just turn the ap back on after recovering the plane, it just doesn't follow the FD. If I turn the avionic master switches off and on the ap behaves again.

I am doing a trans Europe/Asia flight in the TBM with a friend which we have been doing for about a week now. A great experience in this sim without any doubt. But yesterday, we crossed into Afghanistan. A strange thing happened with the LOD radius. Immediately around our aircraft and up to the distance where the LOD should be high resolution elevation data and texture detail, everything defaulted to base, low resolution textures and elevation data. In effect, it was FSX default scenery. However, beyond the LOD radius border, everything was high detail and resolution. I notice in the content manager that changes are starting to stack up waiting for 1.9.4, Changes so far are to :- Bush Trips, EGLL, Flight Training, Japan scenery and Japan procedural buildings, KJFK and KSFO. All are marked as update available but dependencies list them waiting for V 1.9.4 however, does this mean that things are also changing in the sim in the background? Today I noticed that the first items were appearing for 1.9.4 and also today i started seeing an issue with ATC I hadn't seen before today.... so starting to wonder what is getting updated and when and whether anything is changing in the background or whether i am just imagining things. …

I’m starting to wander around given msfs has quite the scenery to offer. I’m looking to fly to telluride (just cause I’ve never have before) looking for suggestions to take off from if any. I’ll be using the tbm and looking for something around 100 miles or so? Any suggestions as I’m not from that area and unfamiliar with it? thx

Hey, after a WIN 10 crash, i was forced to recover my PC. Seems all is working as before. But MSFS didn't start. So i deinstalled FS via the WIN 10, after that checked all the places where data could persist, cleared all registiry entries and rebooted the PC. After that i checked my MS Store account and my Microsoft account, all are saying that i have the Premium Deluxe Version. So i did a clean reinstall, but after that i have only two planes in my hangar: the C 152 and the TBM. I could not believe my eyes, so i deinstalled again, whiped off everything i could find, did the procedure again, and again only these two planes in my hangar! Checking my MS Stor…

Right after purchase I noted suggestions to back off the sensitivity sliders to get smoother ops. I had mine backed off as much as 85%, but it never really solved anything for me. My AC continued to jerk and twitch rather violently, taking much of the pleasure out of flying. I don't think that exponential curve really helps. Today I reverted all sliders back to ZERO and found that response was much more pleasant and realistic. The down-side? You must be very gentle and precise on the controls. Avoid big and sudden moves. Smoothness is key. For average maneuvers you probably don't need to move your controls more than a few degrees away from center. This may not work as we…

What a saga. I installed some software for a monitor calibrator that I borrowed from a friend. It caused a blue screen loop that I couldn't fix (no Windows access other than safe mode). So eventually I had to reinstall Windows and that meant reinstalling all my apps again. I reinstalled MFS from Game Pass and interestingly it remembered things like my controller settings and past flights. But the scenery is now looking like low even though it's using the ultra settings. The main issue is that there are hardly any trees. Also loads of things weren't downloaded (most of the game by the looks of it) and had to be manually downloaded in the content manager. It had all been pl…

Freeware community available MSFS aircraft Mods have obviously become a thing unto themselves. We so far have the A320 and CJ4. A Garmin mod as well if I'm not mistaken because I don't fly GA aircraft. At any rate, trying to find all of the threads related to all currently available aircraft mods is no longer easy. Sorry, but the search function is not as satisfying in that regard anymore, at least not for me. Might the "modding" folk and those who use them benefit by a specific sub-forum for community mods to collect their threads in one location? Just an idea. United001

Hi guys, my sim is crashing 100% of the time at trying to load onto an airfield. Does this happen for some of you too? Do you have an idea to fix this? My machine should be very capable of handling all of this: i7 7700K gtx 1070 16 gig ram drivers have been updated prior to starting game runs on medium graphic settings

I'm currently very undecided about which version to purchase. I'd like to make the right choice up front as their pricing strategy stings you for upgrading later. How do people feel about the additional planes and airports? It seems that the jets are not so good? Are there some GA planes in there that are good? Even if the planes aren't that great, ten additional large airports at ~ $6 per airport seems like a pretty good deal, assuming they are decent quality. Thanks for any comments you can provide.
