Tomorrow (in sim weather permitting) I plan to start an around the world flight in the G36 (with the improvement mod installed which makes the performance more realistic). I'm going to follow the route of the 1924 Douglas World Cruiser flight, so the first leg will be KRNT to CYPR. I expect weather might be a bit of a challenge starting this in the winter, we will see. If I fly one leg per weekend it will probably take most of a year to get around the world anyway. I'll be flying in 'all players' MP mode, on the US West server, so if anyone wants to join for a bit and fly alongside it might be fun. Will post an update closer to takeoff. I might toss…

I am pretty sure there is not one, but I figured I would see if I was missing one. I fly these so I would be inclined to use MSFS more right now for VFR if a piper of this sort was available. I do have some time in the Cessna 172 and the Diamond Eclipse, but the Eclipse in MSFS is unusable for me and I flew the very old 172N, so the newer models don’t necessarily appeal to me. Cheers, Pete

I was so frustrated that I couldn't make individual custom axis profiles for each aircraft in MSFS, but I should have known that a smart developer would alleviate me of this frustration before too long. I just bought a program called Axis and Ohs by Lorbi (which is available to try for free), which makes setting custom controller axis and button profiles and templates a breeze. It's so easy to use! Has anyone tried this program yet? I'm surprised that I haven't heard a lot of excitement over this utility. It's genius and it works so well and solves a really big problem with MSFS (it also works with FSXSE and P3D!). You can change controller settings on the fly…

It's an A320 NEO but to all intents and purposes Airmen should handle it It like an Ultralight. 90 tons of heavy metal doesn't flit around as you take off in to a cross-wind like that. Mass-resultant inertia needs a serious look at by Asobo. But that's the way to fly it. . .for now. And if you treat it that way - it flies good. Once you get it in the air it's all yours - the FBW Logic is up and down. Good fun. Mostly stable. Mostly like the real thing. Just fly the thing. And it flies rather nicely.Remember; Don't Trim unless you've switched OFF the ELACs on the O/H - which is not recommended - and indeed, not needed to fly well. Don't hurl it at the AP; you'll …

Took the a320 from KSBA to KSMF last night with the CCR2 arrival and RNAV 17R Y approach. I used the sim's flight planner to set it up and it showed the path looping around the west side of the airport and lining up to the runway on almost the same path as the ILS 17R. The RNAV Z was a very short approach so I didn't want to use it. The ATC cleared me to an innitial fix that was not only not on any of the real charts, but also not part of the approach as per the map planning screen. I.e. this fix was on the East side of the airport like one you might use on a 17L approach instead. I ended up ignoring approach control after that and just continued the programmed appr…

It seems if you want a realistic (or even working) experience you need a heavily modified plane, add-on airports, add-on scenery, add-on weather generator, add-on ATC, 3rd party flight planning, and 3rd party log book. I guess I’m glad that MS/Asobo have built a frame work to enable this, but from what I’ve read, even that’s not great Does Microsoft or Asobo do anything really well? Admittedly I’m feeling a bit negative at the moment, but it could be because of all the mods and add-ons I need to pile on this Sim to get any sense of realism and even with all that there’s still glaring issues. The whole thing just feels like a kludge.

This morning I got a handful of CTDs surrounding the use of, I think, Rex weather. I’ve been lucky enough to have a very stable system but this morning I got 3 in a row. I loaded FS2020, vPilot, Rex Weather, activated live weather, then imported a flight plan while parked. This resulted in crash every time. Once I loaded flight plan, then activated live weather, no issue. Just FYI for others that may see this.

I've always had fairly good performance in Flight Simulator, between 30 and 60 fps depending on area and flight conditions. Earlier this week I flew from LFBT (France) to LERS (Spain). Performance was good, everything was smooth. Then 4 days later I picked up the flight from LERS and flew to LEVC. The performance was abyssimal. I'm talking around 5-15 fps on the airport. I changed weather conditions to check if that was the cause, it wasn't. The problem only happened when I was panning the camera looking out of the windows. If I was looking down inside the cockpit only, no issues. The performance also got better when I was at altitude, but got worse when I decende…

Hi all. All of a sudden, the "PRESS ANY KEY" intro screen continues to loop. I have updated Windows, down to every single update currently available, even the optional items. I rebooted the computer numerous times. I've tried pressing keys on the keyboard, as well as pressing the mouse buttons. Nothing is working. Anyone out there also experiencing the same?...or (hopefully) have a fix. I've been enjoying the game since it was released, an this is now happening all of a sudden. I have not installed any new apps on the computer. Many thanks for taking the tie to read and respond.

Just wanted to inform that users of FStarter from rksoftware can move the airplane that is located in a parking position and ready to taxi to any of the airport runways. This is helpful if you start at a gate or any other parking positions, prepare for the flight and start your airplane, and want to skip the long taxing to the runway. Just open Airport , select the runway and click start flight. This is just an example of another way of using the Airport Traffic Pattern function in FStarter.

Hi, A little lost. I have sim flown A36 a hundred times and all of a sudden all I do is crash. AP goes on and at around 4000 it looses all speed, the trim is all wrong and it just keeps veering right and I mean veering. Do not know if its the new patch or FSEconomy. Anyone else having something similar happen or suggestions Ron

I know Aerosoft are very happy with the communication with MS/Asobo, and PMDG has also said something along those lines. However, they are the only companies I know have spoken out about how positive their relationship with MS/Asobo is. The other 3PD I have heard from say the oposite, that they have tried getting in contact with Asobo but have the use normal channels, and they are just in the dark about stuff as we, the normal customers, are. Example of this is Navigraph, and also the NX mod team for A320. Which other 3pd do you know have direct access to Asobo and Microsoft?
