I was just thinking today about how much I'm looking forward to carrying on flying in MFS! Even though everyone knows there are imperfections and a list of items being worked by the devs, none of them really impact my use of the sim to any worthwhile extent and I'm up to about 60 hours of flying time, having slowly worked my way West across the USA through all manner of live weather and now lodged safely at KORS before embarking across the border to the Great White North. It has been a GREAT trip! In that time I have become familiar with (only) all the single-engine prop planes in the Premie Deluxe Cheeseburger package, leaving many more to be explored, and hav…

I've been trying to create a flight plan using the World Map. After entering the departure and destination airport details, I start entering a series of VOR and waypoints. Entering the first, and sometimes the second, works OK, but then the next VOR or waypoint is not sequenced correctly e.g., the third waypoint does not follow the second one I entered. Is there some way either using the World Map or the Nav Log to move flight plan waypoints so they are in the desired sequence? Thanks, Al

It seems no matter what I do, when I set the altitude the aircraft continues to climb, even when I set it to a lower altitude and engage -vs speed it continue's to climb the only way to stop it is to disengage the AP and hand fly it. As soon as the AP is engaged regardless the plane climbs. any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Controlling the MSFS airliners is beyond me, I just can't get them to do anything. Let's hope the Longitude gets fixed soon (by far my fav aircraft in this program) and other than that I'll have to (bleah) stick with the little guys.

I waded through all the updates at Dino Cattaneo's Indiafoxtecho's Facebook page and made a pdf transcript for anyone that wishes to read all the updates during the past month or so. The short version as posted by Dino is he is waiting for a promised update from Asobo to handle the flight dynamics of canard airfoils. It was expected in the 0.9.3.0 update but now is expect in the next or maybe the following update. Then the Long EZ can be modeled with the Modern flight dynamics, tested, fine tuned, submitted to Asobo, accepted and finally placed in the Marketplace for purchase. Price has not be set, but, will most likely be less than $20.00. (guess) The Rutan Long …

As of today the B78-10 no longer shows in my sim. Only two airliners, A320 & B747-8 . Is there any way to recover it? or do I have to uninstall and re-install the sim?

So, this seems to happen intermittently but when disconnecting autopilot the trim seems to go full nose up. No matter how much I try and correct it, it reverts back to nose up again. Its beginning to get very frustrating. Am I missing something obvious or is it a bug in the autopilot?

I find the Cessna 208 Caravan in MSFS has a very wide turning radius compared to other planes of its size: even using differential braking, it is impossible to do a 180-degree turn at the end of many runways. Since this is a bush plane, this seems odd. Anyone know if this is realistic, and if so, is there a particular trick to turning this plane?

So how does it work (if it works) ? Does it download synthetic scenery ? Does it download only photogrammetry scenery ? What does it caching really ? Does it always cache in 'High' quality ?

Is it me or is there something seriously wrong with the external model of the CJ4?. I was more into the Longitude but have been flying the CJ4 as out of the two this bird still works until 1.9 is fixed. I started looking at pictures of the real CJ4 and first found the real one’s ground profile is different. Next the lower fuselage on the real one is more pronounced. Then I thought maybe who designed it first thought it was a CJ3 and tried to correct it last minute without doing the whole model as this is Cessna approved but that wasn’t the case. The CJ2 and 3 don’t look like this bird. I know this is default but sloppy work is sloppy work. The cockpit/cabin is amazi…

Hi! I feel almost convinced to subscribe to OnAir for MSFS, however one thing still makes me hesitate. Is it possible to avoid hiring AI pilots completely in OnAir? I don't feel like micromanaging them and assigning jobs. What I'd like to do is to have my SOLO career, where I rent (and then buy) aircraft, fly from one place to another (with location continuity, without jumping across the globe like in FSEconomy) and do it just by myself, always with one rented/purchased plane. Is such a "role play" even possible with OnAir? And my last question is: is it possible to fly (some time in the virtual future, of course) airliners? Thank you!

This looks interesting at least to save time. 40 presets that they say "go beyond" what's possible with the in-sim creator.

Anyone successfully managed to create a flightplan within MSFS for ILS 23r? No matter what I try it doesn’t actually seem to work. just to confirm the ILS approach itself is fine just the flightplan doesn’t seem to work.

Disclaimer: I have never flown 182T in real life *although I have flown many other turbo aircraft. So my experience is based on "F" and "R" models Part 1. Interior and point of view. Carenado has exceptional level of visual representation of interior on exterior. I understand that could be difference in size of the cowling between different 182 models. To my taste seems default pilot view in Carenado a bit low as in shown in image below Of course like in real life seat height can be adjusted to some extend. I tweaked my POV to more like in real life (image below) Same view, POV angle view from real life: However, if us…

Enjoy flying long hops while afk. Is there a way to not automatically have the sim pause on locked screen?

I went into the Content Manager and I see a lot of updates, but they are dependent on 1.9.4, which has not been released yet. So I guess another patch/hotfix is coming soon. Maybe an unexpected hotfix to quell the rebellion? 🙂

I've been looking at the weather settings in MFS and the available weather presets available for free. I have some thoughts I'd like to share. First and foremost, the interface available within the simulator do not fully expose the acceptable atmospheric values. For example, the Precipitation(s) slider only allows values up to 10 or 10mm/h. If you look at the Tropical Storm preset (available as a free addon) you'll see a value of 100mm/h. Another item of possible interest is the Scattering or CloudLayerScattering value. This value seems to have a midpoint value of 0.5 with a range of 0.1 to 1.0. So, you might think that moving the slider all the way to the right…

Ok in two days I have experienced two cases where the Avionics have locked up. Once in the Cessna Caravan and once in the TBM930. In the first case I was about 70nm out from KMCO and my Garmin displays locked up. I could do things like change Altitude and Vert Speed...but it just wouldnt display in the screens. And my MFD was locked in a 15 degree bank. After about 5 min they started working again. Second time in the TBM same thing happened as with Caravan. But I was also in icing conditions and ice building up. So I went to turn on anti-ice and none of the switches would move. But I clicked anyway and anti-ice turned on (even though switches showed off p…

Sharing my observations on which background apps have caused me stutters. EVGA Precision X1 and Server Logitech Options Manager Shutting both down before firing up the sim has helped immensely. YMMV.

A bit random... but when you fly in real life, the pilot on most airlines anyway gives you a pretty exact arrival time... i.e. "we expect to have out outside the gate at 19 minutes past the hour" etc Or you hear around the industry the aircraft is due in "in 17 minutes"... Is there a way in MSFS of working this out? I'm mainly talking of the A320 aircraft...
