Doing the King Air tour of Japan. Where should I be running the the Torq and Props for cruise, climb and decent? I know the target cruise airspeed is around 235 IAS.

Hello, I have a problem with FS2020; keyboard shortcuts do not work.I used another keyboard, same story. Works perfectly on the old MSFS and on X-Plane 11. Anyone with a hint please?

I think this latest Japan update 1.9.3.0 has broken the excellent TBM Cabin Lighting Mod that activated the overhead control knob to add light in the daytime to the glareshield and especially to the Flight Control Unit. I can no longer clearly see the knobs and thumb wheel adjustments for VS. I read about the general update for the lighting mods that covered a lot of the default aircraft, but, the test did not specifically mention the cabin/panel lights for the TBM had been updated. It may have gotten overlooked in the update. Please provide a link for the latest working lighting mods. Thanks a million for these great mods. Regards, Ray

I am unable to make a nomal flightplan with MSFS2020 to EHAM. Example departure from Frankfurt to Schiphol and straight in ILS 27. Whatever I choose as a arrival procedure the flightplan is not normal. Here are some examples: Unable to make a flightplan straight in to ILS27 via Pampus. Also sometime there is a waypoint which is 600NM somewhere else in Europe when making a flightplan from FRA - SPL? Also not able to remove such a waypoint form the flightplan in the FMC Maybe it's me ?

This was always one of my favourite airports in X-plane, and the surrounding scenery was decent too (..although it may have been 3rd-party; I can't quite remember). However, in FS2020 the whole of the Faroe Islands are forgettable. The sim barely knows they're there! Here's hoping someone with the know-how adds to the area at some point down the line.

Hello, In the last edition of "Info Pilote", the magazine of the French Federation of Aviation (FFA), we may read that the founder and chief manager of Asobo, Sebastian Wloch, is now learning to get his PPL (Private Pilot Licence) in a "aeroclub" (main aviation schools in France are "aeroclubs") of the Bordeaux region (LFCS). So, I guess we may expect much improvements in the sim, to make it closest as possible from reality... 😉

Been trying to fly with my brother in Multiplayer. As soon as we hit "Fly Now" and we connect, I crash to my Desktop. Tried different planes, different airports and the same thing. Crashing to desk top after hitting Fly Now ! Getting me ticked off since we can't fly together. And help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Walt

So I am flying today with the TBM930 and at climb she starts to wobble like crazy. Didn\t do this before the patch... It stabilizes after I disconnect the autopilot. Very annoying because it was flying perfecty before this patch !!!

Today I flew a test flight with the TBM930 from Tehran OIII to Larnaca LCPH in Cyprus with a flight time of little over 3 hours. FS2020 just logged ONE HOUR !!! This is it, I am done with this sim until next patch. Still had the dolphin dance at 31,000 feet and had to descent to 19,000 feet to get rid of it. This patch has literally broken everything for me and while I was doing a round the world flight it would have been nice to be able to log the WHOLE flight not 1/3 of it... I did not have any crash mid flight but continued the entire flight from startup to shutdown, then FS2020 just decided it didn't want to log my flight any more. I wa…

Within the same country, Croatia, different airports have different time zones. LDZA (Zagreb, Pleso) has +1 GMT (+1 DST) so it has +2 from GMT which is correct at present time. LDSP (Split, Kaštela) has +1 GMT but no DST so it runs1 hour behind the official time. Any chance of changing this in some config file? Have reported it to Zendesk.

I just spent four hours in the sim this morning flying around South Africa (beautiful country - never been there before). It's amazing how much you can still learn after 50 hours in the sim!.. 1. If you disable the VFR Map from the icon settings menu at top of screen, it prevents you from CTD's if you accidentally hit the 'V' key in flight, as have done a few times when resetting the altimeter on the 'B' key. 🙄 2. The free third party VFR Map is a really good substitute. Alt-tab works fine to go in and out. He had to use Openmap, as apparently there was a cost to using google maps. But easily good enough! 👍 3. Instant Teleport anywhere - amaz…

MSFS has its own landing challenge scenarios of course, but there are clearly so many airports and airfields in the sim that there will be others we can try before Asobo adds them. Who knows, maybe this thread will deserve a 🌲 if it's popular enough!😁 Add as much or as little info as you like, just as long as you include the ICAO code and some location details. Better still, link to a video if you can find one. To kick us off, my choice is Gower Airfield 6WA2 in Olympia, Washington, USA. A narrow, upfield 'ski-jump' style grass strip, with tall trees either side. Approaching over a river, the challenge is to balance your power to be slow enough on landing, at …

Hello, About a week ago I finished building my new PC and downloaded the premium version of MSFS2020. I have a rather powerful system, I have an I9-10850K , 32Gb of DDR4-4000 RAM, one NVME SSD and two SSDs, and until I get my hands on an RTX 3090, I am using my GTX 1080Ti with 11GB, For the week I have been doing some flights to sightseeing around the world, and I find the graphics really impressive and true to life. I am a pilot and a few years ago I crossed the US diagonally from Florida to Oregon at low altitude. I have recreated some parts of the flight, and i can tell you that, what they got here is really impressive. I was very happy un…

I made another post about the new water effects and seeing the white caps and noticeable movement around Kerama Airport in Okinawa, Japan and assumed that they finally improved the water effects globally. But to my attention, it isn't the case. I decided to go back to one of my usual favorite flying spots and that's Hawaii. Did some VFR flying around Oahu, The Big Island, Maui, etc. I did some close examining of the surrounding ocean and shorelines and to my surprise that the water looked nothing like the ones I saw when flying around Kerama airport. The water in Hawaii looked very calm although there were winds that showed up in the G1000. No white caps or any shoreline …

Just completed a trip from Dublin to Kerry airports (IEDW to IEKY) via Ahch-To (sorry, Skellig Michael!) to see if I could spot Luke Skywalker and Rey. Thought I saw them, but was disappointed to realise they were just 2 huts (not Hutts!) representing the stone buildings. Should've taken an X-Wing to catch them before they left! Anyhoo, on the way back to Kerry, I was confronted by 30 knot sidewinds, resulting in me attempting my first sideways landing in a sim. Wow, that was a hairy experience and gave me even more respect for real world pilots who have to do that. I touched down the TBM at around 45 degrees to the runway centre line, and did a very good job, though…

I've tried flights ex KIX (RBJJ) HKG (VHHH) now WLG (NZWN) using flight plans from SimBrief and other free services. All give a flight plan with a SID which isn't in MSFS? Am I doing something wrong? Looking at flying NZWN > NZCH via Sim Brief. The various flight plans ex NZWN using RNWY34 offer SID's KALE2P, POLA2P or POLA2R. Using the A32NX FlyByWire model I'm getting DAMB09, ISNI4P, ISNI4T, KALE3P, NZWN2B, POLA5P,POLA4R, RUGDI5, WITB1A, WITB2B I've tried on the default A320 as well, it's no different. What's in the names, my SimBrief plan says using KALE2P and MSFS offers KALE3P... could I just use this instead? Sorry new to this and …

Greetings All, After being in the extensive A320 mod thread, I thought I would share how I go about comparing products to realism. Maybe some of you could use these tips when addressing developers of products. I lean more on the flight dynamics, but I do jump in to the general stuff which at times require some reading and research. First, let's talk about the general which includes everything other than flight dynamics. General: From my Air Force days, I learned that everything is about documentation and CYA. If you ever learned anything by god you better know where it was written. If if you can quote the verbiage, you better know where it's written. Once I beca…

Hi , I would love to see persistent aircraft. ie. Id like to start my flights with my airplane where I left it and in the condition I left it; switches fuel etc. as I left it. Previous versions of FSUIPC at least allowed for the position of the airplane to be saved. I hoped MSFS would have brought the persistence capability to the level that A2A attained. Perhaps A2A have 'spoilt' me. I started a wish list with this topic over at the MSFS wish list forums. I invite other like mined simmers to take a look and up vote the topic at the following link. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/persistent-aircraft-and-flight/282120

On a couple of flights, I have used the ATC window to try and request a different runway/approach for landing, after I have received inbound clearance and landing runway. Each time, I have been met with total silence from ATC. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a work around? Thanks.

just wanted to share that the guide with recommened settings at https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/how-to-graphics-settings-and-performance-guide-8-18-2020/132407 helped me to achieve great performance - for both visuals and performance - on my rig, key may have been to actually DEactivate v-sync (which I set to 20-30 before) but now the sim with real world weather is amazingly smooth at mostly high setttings with no stutters at all (except first few seconds when new flight loads) my config i5-2500k overclocked to 4,0 MSI 1660 Super Gaming X Asus P8Z77-M 8GB Ram

Is the upper and lower range (+60000ft/-60000ft) shown on the G1000 Radar suppose to change according to what range you've scrolled too? There is no way that it's showing -60000 to +60000 ft along those lines in this image and it never changes no matter where you range the Radar too.

been working perfect since launch, but this weekend suddenly the scenery is slow to load. Taxiing around an airport, it's all blurry, then pops in eventually. No settings have changed. Maybe their servers are overloaded?

Hi, I just selected a flight from KTPA to KMIA (approx.230Nm) with a A320NEO and looked at the vertical profile in the navlog. It shows up to 10,000' - 250Knt and over 10,000' the speed increases to 459Knt in the climb phase and 437Knt in the cruise phase. The 437Knt speed is held in the descend until 10,000' and then reduced to 234Knt. Obviously you can't fly this aircraft at 400 plus Knt speed. So what is this speed display and is it downloaded with the flightplan into the FMC? That would be a way high cruise speed. Thanks for clarification
