Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Not sure whether this is supposed to be the case but when flying the A320 with the 0.3 mod in place then what appears to be the active waypoint (highlighted in green) starts to get ahead of itself after a while in flight. To begin with it is the next visible waypoint but after a while it is the next but one ahead and then two ahead. The plane still seems to keep flying to the next waypoint but I am wondering if the highlighted waypoint moving forward is some sort of an issue as sometimes the AP seems a little confused when we get to approach and am wondering if this waypoint apparent issue is the cause. The lack of any autosave option befuddles me. First, this has to be one very, very easy option to add. Second, this would alleviate enormously the frustration that comes with the CTDs or crashes due to crazy autopilot that some have been experiencing. Asobo seems to be shooting itself in the foot by not having an autosave, I just cannot understand why it's not included. P.S.: I've heard the concern that it would create a stutter at each autosave, like in the bush trips. I don't buy it: if autosave is an option, one can disable it if she or he thinks it's not worth it.

Hi I'd like to bind button 2 on my joystick to toggle between cockpit and exterior views, which on the keyboard is the END key. I've tried binding this button in the setup to "Toggle Cockpit View" and "Toggle Exterior View" with the same result; the button will switch from cockpit to exterior view, but will not switch back again. Am I perhaps missing something when setting this up? I have an old, but great, MS Precision Pro Joystick. But am not convinced it's a problem with the Joystick, since all the other buttons bind to other functions correctly. Thanks for your advice.

Just landed on 26L at Gatwick after patch 3 and there is a high rise town popped up just to the south of 26L/08R it looks awful.

Is live weather working. I can't choose live weather from the world map screen. Under weather and time, live is greyed out.

I've been trying to put together a digital control panel using an old android pad and an app called Matric. I soon realized that lot of the actions required for the startup and operation of the A320 are missing in the controls menu. Examples: engage selected flight level/airspeed/ turn of master battery 1, 2 / turn on master APU / turn on Engine 1,2 /. While there are similar actions in the controls menu, they simply don't do anything on the a320. Is there any workaround to assign a key to all clickable cockpit actions?

I'm flying to that part of the World next and thought I'd seen a fix for the elevation issues there?

Hey all, I am currently doing the tutorial of onair company (YBCS to YBTL) Got a question in mind, do we must fly with real time ? I mean I set my home airport to Cairns YBCS but I live in Belgium which I think would lead to fly almost all the time during the night if I let the real time (in sim due to jet lag) is there a way to change my home airport to start the career ? To fly the drone (to get a better look at any scenery, such as areas of your hometown) you could use a couple of hats. But, once you get back into cockpit view you can have anything at all completely different programmed onto those same hats. So, using the hats for flying (moving) the drone (i.e. changing the drone views) will not use up any buttons or hats. Because those msfs commands do nothing if you aren't in the drone view mode. On one hat: pan up, pan down, pan left, pan right. Another hat: move up, move down, move left, move right. And using your designated 'shift' key move up becomes move in and move down becomes move out. ... e.g. 'shift' key + hat…

My experience so far is that the sim has gone backwards since launch. With every patch, more things seem to break and performance degrades further. It's absolutely appalling how Asebo can get away with this garbage in 2020.

If you like to practice your landings (or test your aircraft tweaks), here's a gauge that might help a bit with that: It replaces the mechanical hour counter (which probably nobody cares about anyway), and shows altitude & sink speed during approach, and then, once landed, measures the distance until the plane comes to a full stop, and retains the vertical speed which was achieved at touchdown. Unfortunately, it only works with planes that have that hour counter gauge, but if you're handy with config files, you might be able to replace another unused gauge with it...

Latest update really pushed this "sim" over the edge. After update my sound is gone and the A320 is BEYOND flyable now. It is soooo bad, so awful it makes you wonder if they are doing this on purpose. IMPOSSIBLE to LAND that word not allowed. Once you get over the space rocket lift during takeoff and the wobbling in the sky and the malfunctioning autothrottle which wants nothing more than kill you in a severe accident, I am finally on approach. Add flaps and BOOM...helicopter! Lift off...WE HAVE A LIFT OFF! Force the yoke forward, no! We're heading for the moon ladies and gentlemen. Courtesy of Asobo and MS word not allowed this. The sim used to remember the last three points of arrival and departure, but for me this has broken since the last update. Have others experienced the same?

After take off at EHBK heading for EHEH I saw directly in the North West a hugh wall and entering the EHBD (Budel area) it was clear that it was a hugh mesh problem. Anyone else see these problem or is it just me? I disabled third party airports in Brabant temporary to exclude problems but no luck. Happy landings... hello after i complet i flyght on my mfs2020 i notice that some controls stop working like rudder or parking brake i try to restart sim and reinstall 2 time but nothing change:another issue is now all aircraft are ON at the gate/parking but i cant move because the throttle and other controls ONLY work if use mouse I also try to verify my game file from steam but after this the game start to download of all Sim again

Hello all, Has anyone noticed that there is no Avionics display for the Baron58 or the DA62 after the latest update. I fired it up this morning for a flight using the Longtitude and all OK. This afternoon I fired up for a flight in the Baron58 and noticed no avionics displayed starting on the runway. I then tried the DA62 and same thing. Subsequently I went back for a flight with the Longtitude and that was OK but the other two (only ones I tried) are still black panels, Everything else is working normally except for the VFR Map using the task bar. I found a workround for that by simply mapping "M" for the VFR map and it works normally now using that key. …

After the latest Sim update my Bitdefender Firewall keeps sending warnings that the Sim is (I think) is connecting to the internet... I click "allow" and nothing happens...I dismiss the message and it reappears...I called BD technical support...they say it's a known issue and they are working on a fix and will let me know...the only solutions (for now) are to cut the firewall off or just let the error message exist on the screen....bummer...
