Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Flying the Cirrus SR22 on a cross country flight, maybe 15 hours into the flight, the plane just starts stalling and I look at the trim and its pegged to 100. If I disable AP and correct it it seems mostly ok until I reenable AP. Never had this problem with over 100 hours into the game since launch, mostly using the SR22. Anyone else experiencing this?

This is the San Francisco airport area....trees that look like tall rocks,,,top of buildings with garbage on them,,,parking lots that look like junk yards...what ?

I'll start by saying that this is by FAR the best weather and ambient lighting effects we've experienced and it makes a HUGE immersion difference. Having said that, I know I'm being nit picky, but I am curious if it's mostly me or if others are experiencing the same. When the weather is overcast or rainy, the overall (outside the cockpit) brightness gets too dark to see (nothing to do with weather visibility). Is anyone else experiencing this? Hardware: MSI 1080TI GAMING X using Surround with 3 x AOC e2752Vh 27" 1920 x 1080 2 ms 60 Hz monitors Thanks!

Some complain about lacking LOD in the distance and a few I have heard complaining about the new water in the latest patch. Are they trying to improve performance by tweaking the visuals? At least on my system, the water post-patch looks flat, reflection-less and appears to lack the small wave textures that were there before, especially at slightly higher altitudes and up to 7 or so knots of wind. With higher windspeeds, it looks strikingly great again. Of all things, I did rather enjoy the calm water graphics in MSFS, but do not like the new version.

Have a big problem with my MSMF2020 787, have switch on Bottom in overhead panel and start APU, but there comming no light and no instruments on, I can startup the engine with Shift+E, but no instruments so I am grounded, all the other airplanes are well and startup with instruments, I thing perhabs missing battery, but I dont now, so please if someone now about the fail please inform me. Sometimes, the buildings and the surrounding scenery have a whitish look. The brown color of the desert is whitish. What causes this? Is there a setting that automatically creates this issue? tc

Hi, when the autopilot of Cessna 172 without glass cockpit is all correctly set and working, suddenly the altitude goes rapidly up and down. I tried already to change the Control Sensitivity but there is no adjustment control anymore. In my former time as real life pilot we said unstable oszillation. Bernie P.S. Why does Microsoft make more traditional cockpits. Many Pilots do not like glass cockpits for light aircrafts. In addition, glass cockpits are also not good for training.

I am posting on here rather than the MSFS forum as I might get more "technical" help from the serious sim community (sorry if I have offended anyone) This is driving me nuts! Simple issue, I am often running out of "up elevator/trim" on final approach leading to a descent below glide, odd trim position (often full up trim), and being unable to resolve even when power is applied.(I cant get the nose up to power out, so just overspeed) I load up fuel as per Simbrief. I amend CofG to be within parameters, redistributing baggage and bods to get a "middle of the road" MAC. CofG range is quoted in the fuel page as 16%---40% MAC. If all of that is correctly …

Was going to wait till my next upgrade in another 4 months or so since i didnt have enough space on my 2 hard drives only had about 350 left. Than i realized i had a hard drive for recording shows on my tv it is a (Porsche design 2t) so didnt know if it would work so plugged it in the usb in the back of pc. Went to steam purchased it there and downloaded it it took around 6 hours to download. Now to see if it will load etc which it did:). Hadn't done any flights as of yet and by the first look of it it seems to run with my set up so now wondering do i upgrade or not in the questio…

Is it just me or Vnav is not working at all ? After the latest patch the plane flies like a dolphin ? Any hint or tip/help welcome.

Hello, I'm trying to determine if I will get much of a performance boost through overclocking my CPU. My current rig is: Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 2070 Super GPU, 32GB RAM I play the sim on a 1920x1080 single monitor, and am able to get around 40-50fps on High-end, but Ultra brings this down to around 25-30fps, which can be a bit glitchy, especially at busy airports. Will overclocking my CPU likely allow me to run smoothly on ultra settings? I have safely overclocked in the past, but am also worried about temperatures, and if my old 530w PSU can handle it... I really don't want to blow up my PC!! Thank you

I can't see it mentioned anywhere in bugfixes, but pressing the escape key now seems to pause the game's gpu/cpu activity, where before it would keep flogging the PC (a good thing IMHO) Sorry if it's already been discussed

I have got to admit that I am a convert. I fully foresee a time when P3D will disappear (for me) in the same way that XPL was removed after the DC-6 beta. NEVER in all my decades of flight simulation, have I approached the level of suspension of disbelief, that I experience in MSFS. True, it is a willing sense of disbelief. Can some kind soul explain to me why the following is happening please? I somehow managed to download the whole MSFS again instead of just the update, so had plenty of time to either sleep, watch paint dry or see what was happening under the bonnet using Task Master. What surprised me was that the CPU was ticking over at circa 10% load but that the GPU was racing around between 40% and 70% load with a temperature of circa 70 degrees. I am not very clever with PCs but would have expected the CPU to do all of the processing of data as it was downloading, not the GPU. Which is correct please?

Hi all, I tried looking for the relevant sub forum for trackir type devices but couldn’t find one so hope it’s ok to post here: I’m using the trackhat official cap plus opentrack software (the trackhat version is buggy so I’m using the standalone) I tried measuring the dimensions of the LEDs placement etc and fed them into opentrack but I can’t get it to work well. Does anyone know the dimensions for the hat? Or does anyone have any settings they can share? regards Ant

As the title suggests - tonight (28th Sept 2020 ~11am-1pm UTC) getting nothing in the Live Airport Activity for any major world airports nor any real world live traffic in the sim. Apparenty MSFS 2020 gets it data from Flightaware but the site has been up the whole time. Scenery download, live online player traffic and connection to MS servers are all OK - its only real world traffic that does not work at the moment. Anyone else had the same issue ?

Hi all, SO, last patch broke the bush flying completion.. and I was doing well. IN the notes in the sim itself it said this was fixed, so me on my way to yosemite. Landed at the mother airstrip.. or I think so, but no completion screen at all. Any tips or is it still broken? Love japan! Vic
