Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Since the latest update, I am unable to use external power when at an airport gate. This is a problem as I cannot do anything and even Ctrl E will not give engine start. Is it just me and does anyone have a solution? John

I have been battling with getting my head around the camera vew system all week! But tonight I have eventually managed to do so apart from one single aspect... I have, what I call the pilot view, the default view in the VC, the view is assigned to a button on my PFC yoke, which is fine, but for some reason, if I click it once it relates to the pre-configured view I have created, but if I click it again, it takes me to a closer view of the instrument panel! This I do not want. I have tried to see if it is assigned to two separate views on the same button, but I can't seem to find that to be the case. Whenever I try and download MSFS it gets stuck on the very first file (for the 787). It downloads the first few percent and then starts again interminably. There is no error code condition or and nothing I can think of has any effect. .Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Before I would buy apps like reshade to get the lighting and coloring more vibrant or lifelike. I thought I read a thread here that Icant find again that was about using Nvidia native shader. Any info on this please?

Any other real world 172 drivers find that the 172 unrealistically floats too much?

I managed to update the sim in Steam to 1.9.3.0. Now I'm in the sim, attempting to download 8.77 GB. The dowlnoad continously restarts at the 1st file at different percentage each time: asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.42.fspatch Never faced such isue with the previous patch. I tried to like this sim, but they can't even implement the proper downloader 😞 Restarting the sim or the entire PC does not help. Plenty of free storage. Any clues?

Hello, Do you know any addon / mod that allows two cameras on a rig, to be able to shoot stereo videos or pictures ? This would be fantastic !

As the 1.7.14.0 patch fixed the simconnect, FSUIPC 7 beta now seems to be working without causing massive FPS drop. This means FSUIPC can be used for assigining 2-position "always-on" and 5-position magneto switches on the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke or any other control device using "aways-on" switches. If such switches are assigned via FSUIPC and not via the sim buttons assignments menu, the following issues can be eliminated: heading bug jumping in 10-degree increments/decrements (instead of 1-deg) altitude bug jumping in 1000 ft increments/decrements (instead of 100 ft) and most important: exaggerated elevator trim inputs, making the plane barely trimmable.…

Since the last update, most small villages and little cities in the Alps have now completely crazy tall buildings ! VFR immersion is totally ruined since today !

I noticed since update 1.9.3 that my aircraft could not longer follow its flight plan path. After my take-off, i engage the AP everything goes well and without knowing why, my plane starts to leave the flight plan. I disengage the AP, i re-activate it but nothing changes. I have to fly manually. I tested on A320 and 787.

Hi, I'm using G1000 in the 208B Grand Caravan to do low altitude IFR flights (with ILS Approach). At what point are you supposed to switch the AP from NAV mode to APR mode? Also, as I got close to the runway, I switched off AP to manually land... but the nose popped up and was all over the place... I'm guessing as the AP unwound all the trim or something? Is this normal? Thanks!

Having a bit of a problem with the zoom function. When using the keyboard (or setup on the HOTAS), the cockpit zoom view has only a few (fixed) view points. The steps are really too big to my taste. However, when using the mouse scrollwheel, the cockpit zoom can be finetuned between these big steps when zoom is used by the keyboard. Is there an option to get zoom with the keyboard to work just as zoom with the mouse scrollwheel, in little steps?

I haven't been seeing much about this. I've read a few topics from a search, but no real answers. I too have this issue, where sometimes the heading bug only moves in 10deg increments. Has there been any solution to this? I mean it seems at this point the community is better at fixing stuff.

I’m opening this thread for 2 reasons: 1-. The other Rex thread was closed 2-. To people like me who was unsure of the performance of this product.. Here is a video.. The only thing I don't like is the trim on the plane it either climbs at 2000fpm or descends at 2000fpm. Does anyone know where we can find the route for this tour of Japan? I would like to take the tour, but, not in the King Air. I can't find the route anyplace, or change the airplane.

Was going to fly from Orkney to Shetland tonight, but then I noticed strange squares all over the terrain. Worried that my installation was screwed up I went on to Shetland and everything there was fine. Anyone got ideas on what is going on? Anyone flew over there and seen the same thing? Hey guys, Not too sure if im in the right section here, as there no developement forum section dedicated to MSFS yet. My problem is that i drop to 10fps whenever im trying the scenery editor from the sdk (devmode). I ran a "solid" locked 30fps in nearly every flying situation, and have the same kind of fps, engine stopped, on the ground of the airport i wish to edit. but as soon as i get the scenry editor out, i lock at 10fps. Not 9, or 11, just a perfect 10fps, as if something is actually locking it at that very specific number. Any chance someone has had the same thing happened to them? Thanks a lot

OK for me, best download yet.. much faster, clean and no issues.. likewise with the Japan add on... So I set up a typical test flight.. my usual.. London City (ORBX) to Bristol (UK2000) using TBM usig Low Altitude airways set to 5000 ft with an ILS approach 1) Took off and followed my usual procedure of getting off the ground, setting the alt, etc and then flicked on the A/P using FLC to climb to 5000ft which was given to me by clearance. was transferred to london central by ATC and in quick succession (ie before I could even respond to ATC) got climb to FL180, climb to FL220, climb to FL360, climb to FL410 climb to FL520 by then it was also o…
