Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Like a lot of people, I've been trying to figure out how to use the G3000. Youtube videos and written descriptions, such as questions and answers on here, are great, but lacking. Really the only way to truly learn these systems is to "read the book". There's just no shortcut. You may only need a handful of pages out of the following two guides, or you may want to really dig in. I have the full version of Acrobat, so i may wind up slicing hese up into smaller guides for my own use, and if I do so I will share them here. Last night, suddenly my marketplace grayed out and the photogrammetry went away from the cities. Anyone faced this and have a solution ? (I noticed that some files under game directories are locked in this while) It seems my account can not connect to a server. In the up right corner, server row shows auromatic and the symbol is spinning, but can not find and connect to a server. Is this a general server problem or my account problem ? How to get the servers back again ? Supports will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Back-to-back attempts at flights. First one about 200 NM in the TBM, got to cruise altitude at 28,000 feet, was messing around in the G3000, and it froze. It didn't unfreeze. Fired it right up again, loaded up a 50 NM flight in the TBM, got about halfway there, and again, while looking at the approach in the G3000, it platzed. Haven't had it happen before ever. Everything stock. Kind of a bummer, because I've just fallen in love with this plane and I've been looking forward to it all day. If I don't go up for dinner right now I'll be in for it, so I'll have to give it a try another day. Oh well...

Anyone know where I can find this livery?

Am I the only the who cant make more questions over at the official forums, or did they close that section for more questions altogether?

Is there de-icing on Cessna 172 and if so where, or is this one not meant to fly in the clouds? I only found cabin heat and pitot heat, nothing to defrost my frozen windows.. but again maybe that one is not meant for flying in the clouds.. Thanks

Following on from this thread, I've started a new one as I can't find a connection between issues. Background: When I first tried installing MSFS, I was unable to install it or any game on Game Pass if it had "Administrator approval required for installation" in the description. I eventually solved this by doing the following to re-install Gaming Services: But now I have a similar, but not identical issue. Neither MSFS or any "Administrator approval" game will start. Instead, trying to start them opens up MS Store with Gaming Services shown. It says "This product is installed." but also has the button for "Install on my devices". Clicking on that gives me the…

I remember Asobo saying there was a tool to do this but I haven't found any. Has anyone had any luck importing older planes like from FSX into MSFS? I would love to get my old freeware DC3 imported.

Every time I reload a saved flight, the menu at the top is gone. I can't access AI, ATC, Checklist, Fuel, NavLog, VFR Map, etc. Even the keyboard shortcuts don't work, like Scroll Lock for ATC menu. Anyone else having this issue?

I have a doubt for Airbus, the packs must be On or Off for engine starts? In addition, for takeoff in TOGA, the packs are selected On/Off? I don't know if they're the same procedure as 737NG?

A little history first. Purchased MSFS2020 through the Microsoft Store about week after debut. Did not have any issues until this past week. From release until now have D/L numerous repaints, scenery and purchased some aircraft. My first CTD happened a couple of days ago, I booted up SIM selected Dep and Arr points, selected aircraft and hit FLY, it loaded about a 3rd of the way and then sound cracked and stopped and that's when it crashed. Of course attempted this several times and same results. So off to the races sort of, cleared out Community Folder and attempted again, NO GO. Can the sensitivity of ground steering be adjusted without changing the sensitivity of the rudder flight axis? If so, it is probably by changing a parameter under [CONTACT_POINTS] in the flight_model.cfg file, but which one for a tricycle gear aircraft? Al

How do I change these settings permanently? Particulalry, Drone Speed and Zoom Level. I have to reset these settings at every flight. Its getting tiring. any Ideas?

I have added .zip files for aircraft liveries and others to my Community file (in the default folder - ...AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft...\LocalCache\Packages\Community) but nothing appears in my Airplane Liveries. What is wrong ? Anything I can do ? Dave Hinson

I seldom see this option in my ATC selections. Is there any way to get this option consistently? What triggers it? Thanks!
